On May 21, I bought a Vizio D32F-FTVI live in DallasTV worked fine until today, June Picture won't come onThere appears to be a crack in the darkened screen, but it's internalI called Vizio SupportTheir response was abysmalThey didn't offer to have a technician look at itRight off the bat, their rep told me I must have dropped the TV or struck it with somethingTelling her no one in the family did that was fruitlessTheir stand is that internal cracks can only occur by customer negligenceEnd of discussionWell, a quick scan of Google shows that hundreds of people have had similar complaints to mineNot all were Vizio customersMany were, thoughAnd all were told they were at fault When I told the rep there surely would have to be external damage to the TV's exterior or the screen itself if I dropped it or slammed it with somethingShe told me that wasn't the caseClearly, there's no way to win with themThey've determined the customer is always wrong

The picture does not have the sharpness or clarity as the previous one. despite the installers trying to clear it up. Also the picture chops off the top of their heads. Also the horizon is off making the side look awkward or abnormal. I was told by the Vizio representative that this is NOT a new tv but one that may have been in the warehouse a while OR may have been returned (for what????) and they checked it over to make it like new. (again????) The representative from Vizio said to call her if there were problems, but no new tv or refund. Rather than go thru another 2 weeks with no tv and no compensation for the inconvenience of another "recertified tv that is just like new", If I call Comcast to see what they can do, that is $40 out of my pocket. Today I moved my other Vizio Smart TV from the bedroom to the living room I hung this TV on the same wall, and removed the console stanchion from the bottom of the TV in the same manner as I did the other one Of course I used more caution in doing so this time because I didn't want two broken TV's in the house, but I clearly used the same technique (i.esetting the TV on the carpet and turning it over onto its side to detach the bottom, then hanging it on the wall) Attached are the photos with no visible issue or problems (e.gno horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines) on this one If Vizio will not replace my broken TV then is it possible to correct the horizontal and vertical lines on it which are under warranty, but not the diagonal line? At least that would clear up most of the picture that I cannot see now If this is still not acceptable to Vizio then what is the out of pocket cost to me to have Vizio repair this TV out of warranty? I want to compared the cost of repairing it vice buying a new oneI want to get this problem resolved ASAP either through Vizio or not.Thanks,***

I bought a 40-inch (E400i-B2) Vizio from Costco for $on April 27, There were some minor problems with the remote and the TV occasionally froze, but I could live with itFive months later the bottom quarter of the screen started flickering, as in LEDs going badWhen I called customer service, they had me email video of the problem, and then said my TV needed to be replacedThis rep would only offer me an inferior model as the replacement because my model was supposedly not available (even though I could put my exact model into a shopping cart to purchase from the Vizio website); she said my only other option was to get a refundTwo reps and two supervisors later, the last one finally offered me an identical TV but in a 48-inchCool – that should have been the first offer! Minus the arguing and eating up my time, I was satisfiedBUT… it took days for the replacement to arrive on a Friday afternoonBy the time I got around to sitting down and setting everything up, it was 11pm and I discovered that I could use the menus just fine, take my time setting things up, etc., but as soon as I tried to stream anything (YouTube, NetFlix, Amazon Prime), the TV would just power down after 10-secondsWhen I was finally able to reach Customer Service on Monday October 6th, I got a decent rep who apologized for the previous treatment I had received and arranged for another replacement 48-inch TVOn October 14th, having heard from no one, I contacted the delivery company and learned that the unit had just been released to them the previous day – days after my phone call with VizioThe second replacement TV arrived on Friday, October 17thSo I proceeded to set things up and start streaming a programAfter six minutes, the TV froze for about a minute, then powered downI went through the entire reboot drill (I had it memorized by then: unplugged my router and the TV for over a minute, started everything back up, reset the TV by holding the power button, reset to factory defaults, all the right steps), and then called Vizio once I got a program started streamingBy the time I got a rep on the line long enough to get all my history and information accounted for (about minutes), the TV froze and powered downSince this was the third bad TV in a row (the two replacements were both brand new E480i-Bmodels), I concluded that Vizio could not deliver a working TV to me and conceded to get a refundIn order to get the refund, I had to email an image of my original Costco receipt from April and wait for Vizio to send me a box to pack the TV inThey would not schedule a piuntil after I had boxed the TV up and called them back (instead of just sending a box with the picompany)It took five more days for my box to arrive and I called Vizio right away to schedule the pickupIt is now November 4th and I haven’t heard a peep from any courierVizio will not refund my money until they have the TV in hand, so I’m still waitingThe good news is that by the time I get my refund lots of good TV brands like Samsung, LG and Panasonic should be marked down for the holidays! I’m overwhelmed by Vizio’s customer service in the worst way possible, and cannot possibly recommend this brand to anyoneWhat a nightmare!
