Dear Revdex.com Representative: VIZIO, Inc. (“VIZIO”) is in receipt of the Revdex.com’s (“Revdex.com”) notice regarding complaint number [redacted]. As always, VIZIO takes any complaint reported to the Revdex.com very seriously. Please be advised that upon review of the complaint...
VIZIO has determined that this complaint is not a warranty issue, but rather a buyer’s remorse issue. A copy of VIZIO’s warranty can be viewed online at http://www.vizio.com/warranty. VIZIO has contacted this customer and stated that what the customer is asking for is not covered under the warranty, as there is nothing wrong with the unit itself, but rather, the features are not what the customer wanted. At VIZIO, the quality of our products is very important to us. We rely on and appreciate product feedback from our customers and encourage anyone who has questions about or problems with our products to contact us at https://vizio.custhelp.com/ for information and assistance. Sincerely, VIZIO, Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Vizio has asked me to pay a $135 fee to pay for the technician to come in and replace parts on the television and they will cover the cost of the parts. This is ridiculous for the simple fact that they are not positive that this will resolve this issue. I asked via email to know how effective this solution is when it came to repairing the other models of this TV and was ignored. I asked what the parts are so I could research to see what others who have taken Vizio up on this offer have to say, my request was ignored with this response: "The warehouse will send all parts to the technician that is needed for the repair. Once the terms and conditions are returned back we will send this over to the Technician and they will contact you in 5-6 business days, any questions on parts he receives can be answered by him at that time." Basically I have to agree to paying this before I get anymore information from them. The first lady I spoke to on the phone regarding this fix was very pleasant and easy to deal with. The second one however has been nothing but difficult. That would simply be like calling a mechanic and telling them your vehicle is making a noise, unless they look at it, they cannot tell you the issue. However, with this case it is slightly different as there has been so many complaints on this model of TV having the same problem as I have. They should be able to at least tell me how effective this is and they refuse. Unless they want to replace the TV, I am completely UNSATISFIED with this. There is ZERO reason for this TV to be experiencing it as it still in excellent condition and has never been handled poorly.]

upon VIZIO’s review, the VIZIO product in question under this complaint is out of warranty. A copy of VIZIO’s warranty is available online at http://www.vizio.com/warranty.
In the interest of providing customer satisfaction VIZIO did offer to perform a split cost repair for the customer, which the customer accepted, however, our repair company has indicated after inspecting the VIZIO product that the product may not be repairable. VIZIO would therefore like to offer this customer a discount on a replacement VIZIO product. Please ask the customer to contact VIZIO’s
customer service department so that we can make this offer to the customer.
At VIZIO, the quality of our products is very important to us. We rely on and appreciate product feedback from our customers and encourage anyone who has questions about or problems with our products to contact us at https://vizio.custhelp.com/ for

I really am very dissatisfied with Vizio and how this is being handled. They sent me another tv to replace the broken one. This RECERTIFIED TV LASTED 5 DAYS. they are in the process of sending me another tv to replace the tv they replaced!!!I have now been without a tv for over 30 days (minus the 5 days). I wish they would just refund my money and we be out of each others hair for good! A company that is so successful and boost of customer satisfaction has really dropped the ball.

the VIZIO television in question in this complaint has been out of warranty by approximately six months. A copy of VIZIO’s warranty can be viewed online at http://www.vizio.com/warranty. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Vizio offered a discount on another TV that was nearly $800. The $1,000 TV I purchased 9 months ago had a warranty that they will not honor. They claim that something hit the tv to cause the picture to go out, which is not the case. My husband and I would hardly sit and throw objects at it. That tv has never been touched other than a light dusting. I didn't even know the where the power button was located as we always used a remote. They simply looked at a picture and made this claim so it would void a warranty and they wouldn't have to replace it. There is a curve in the lines that I appeared at the very bottom of the tv. That was not there in my original call to them. There was an approximate 6 inch wide white line that popped up in the center. When I called first, I was told that was a manufacturing defect. I was told to take pictures to send them to verify that it was indeed the Vizio TV I called on, and that the lines appeared at all times...which I did. While on the phone the first time, they were notified that more lines kept appearing even while speaking with them. By the time I got to take pictures, the entire screen went out to a million different lines. After looking at reviews from other customers, I have found over 1,400 complaints of other customers. Many of them also stated that Vizio would not honor their warranties. So people should be informed about this issue. As to there offer, why would I want to spend another $800 on another Vizio TV when one that was 9 months old quit working. After dealing with their customer service, I would hardly say I would be pleased with that offer. A solution is to fix a problem, not tell a customer to buy a new one. Vizio should also realize that customers are what makes their business successful. They don't seem to have many happy customers who have purchased their products. I couldn't find any sites that gave them over a 1 star review. Customers will figure out this customer, and they will eventually stay away from these products. When a customer asks to speak to a manager, I don't expect to be told, "why, they won't do anything g any different." Let me decide that for myself. And when being asked for corporate information, they flat out refused to give me their information.

A ninety day extension on the warranty was not a concession, it was a given seeing as I've had been without a television for three months. Additionally, Vizio missed the FIFTH delivery date that was scheduled for 9-19-14. I contacted them, (as I did not recieve any type of phone call the day prior as promised), was told they could not locate the driver, but that I was definetley scheduled for delivery, and they would call me right back with the estimated time. Needless to say I never recieved a call back or my television. I have been given a 12 hour window during a work day or holiday weekend on 5 separate occasions, and they have failed to show or even contact me during or after every missed delivery. I have gone directly through Vizio after three missed deliveries by their represetatives, and their involvement has done nothing to correct the problem, it has in fact furthered it as now two additional deliveries have been missed. I have lost a great deal of time and money trying to collect the product I purchased from Vizio, and am out that IN ADDITION to the money I feel I've lost by purchasing a product I apparently cannot obtain from this company. I have never experienced a lack of customer service to the extent that has been displayed by Vizio, and I believe their refusal to either deliver a product or return the funds they recieved for that product rises to the level of criminal misconduct. Vizio apparently considers this matter resolved, however, I most certainly do not agree with their assessment, and I feel at this point I have no choice but to contact an attorney to see that it is.

I purchased the Visio 70 inch LED TV and the 3 year plan from Walmart on 9/10/2014. After installing the base, I noticed that it sort of leaned forward a little. It seemed secure enough so I didn’t complain. On 10/21/2014, while plugging in my Xbox to the HDMI port, something snapped and the TV no longer leaned forward but now wobbles back and forth. On 10/22/2014, I called the Walmart number and registered my product and after explaining the situation was given the manufacturer’s number and told to talk to them. I called that number and explained the situation and because I told them that I placed my hand on top of the TV while plugging in the HDMI cable, they could not do anything for me. It didn’t matter that there was already something wrong with the base, they didn’t want to hear that. I will never buy another VISIO.
