Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because I do not agree with VW of America's decision. The company has admitted that there is a problem with the ABS module in my 2009 VW [redacted] and a recall notice has been issued because of it. The company has expressed that when the ABS module fails it will illuminate the ABS, Brake, and ESC warning lights on the dash of the vehicle. All of these lights are present in my vehicle in addition, to the vehicle losing power and control while the driver is operating the car which I feel is a danger and potential accident and/or fatality. In my dealings with their customer service department they have essentially told me that I needed to pay for the replacement of the ABS module before they could honor the recall. This is like saying that a doctor tells you to go get healed before he can treat you for your disease. The problem still remains that according to the technician at [redacted] Volkswagen, they are unable to communicate with the module and therefore cannot read any codes  . So weather the module had these codes prior to failing completely is unknown .It is because of the [redacted] recall notice and the fact that VW is aware of an issue with the ABS module part that I am asking that VW, to reconsider the matter and give its customer the benefit of the doubt. If the very part that is in question is defective, and you are unable to read the codes to even determine if the part needs to be replaced?  Also in their response to my complaint with the Revdex.com, I was told that because of the mileage and age of my vehicle they will not cover the repairs under the recall. Nowhere, in the the recall letter does it make any reference to mileage or the age of the vehicle  as part of the criteria that will or will not be covered.   Again, the recall is for vehicles with this particular part and the 2009 VW [redacted] with automatric transmissions fall into the recall notice are 8 years old? I was also told by there customer service representative that I had a preexisting condition with the ABS module. So they have decided not to cover the repairs. I do not understand their reasoning?, if customers were not having problems with the ABS module failing before there was a recall  there would be no reason for a recall at all. Furthermore in the recall letter the company offered to reimburse customers who had already paid to have an ABS module replaced because it failed. In my view , why not give the customer the benefit of the doubt when neither party knows if the module ever contained the codes that VW wants to see, when VW already has admitted that the module has defects that cause it to fail. I am asking  VW of America to reconsider their decision in the interest of driver safety and customer service.I am hopeful that we can reach a common sense solution in this matter before we ask a judge to settle it.
Regards,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Class Action lawsuits were filed on behalf of all VW owners that suffered due to hiding a known defect of the timing chain tensioner knowingly by Unethical VW company , will let the judge decide then.

I am rejecting this response because: No resolution by VW of America has been offered.  I believe VW of America is reviewing the official repair documents that they requested in order to determine their resolution response.

I am rejecting this response because:This is just a form letter response. Volkswagen has yet to show me in any way how they care about customers. Volkswagen remains silent, and refuses to help its customers. I am now stuck with a worthless car, and Volkswagen apparently chooses to do nothing about it.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Rodent chewing normal plastic covering wire may or may not be under the manufacturer Volkswagen waranty unless volkswagen decide for cost reasons or to get environment and sustainability subsides from the government to use soy bean based plastic or coating to cover the wires in their cars without any disclaimer or any kind of warning when they sales or lease their vehicle. They should pick the tab and shut up.Like thousand of people I was not warned and I will let the world know starting with the Revdex.com of course but then I will dedicate 3 to 5 interns of my internet marketing firm to let the world know how VW take care of its customers as it is a shame (The harness replacement is over $6,500.00 and 3 weeks rental for repairs)I will also ask my friends from [redacted] to help me in the endeavour as they did pickup a part of the tab.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is a step in the right direction, finally.  Now the claim account is sitting in a Review status, waiting on VW.  Once VW has sent me the necessary paperwork to finalize the claim and handle the car, I'll be more than happy to close this complaint.  I really appreciate the Revdex.com's help with this matter.  I was getting no where before this.

I am rejecting this response because:25% is not enough given that the car was FALSELY sold to me as not under warranty even though it was still in that 80,000 mile range. They also failed to mention that it had 2 tests done on it previously. I feel this warrants a 50% cost coverage from Audi.
