Thank you for being in contact The Group Leader did change the tour to Costa Rica due to the Zika virus to a European tour All parents and students must agree when a tour changes for this reason If a traveler does not want to go on the new tour, they have the opportunity to cancel at that timeWe are willing to be flexible with our fees if your daughter would not like to travel to Europe We can reduce the cancellation fee to $500, plus the non-refundable fees instead of 50% of the program cost.Please let us know if you would like to move forward with this cancellation.Sincerely.EF Education

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] [That response could have been summed up as a "sorry for your luck"I would never accept to automatically deduct payments from my account, specially and specifically on the first of a month because I get paid monthly on the 1st and have to go make the deposit to my bank myself, so in other words there would be no money in my account to deductI actually have an email stating my payment is on the 3rdI emailed September 1st in concern to my first payment because when I checked online it said my next payment was due October 3rd and I was confused why I wasn't suppose to make a payment for SeptemberA couple days after that when I looked at my bank account is when I found out September was automatically deducted, so which day was it due again? I only kept it on automatic because I figured days was enough time for me to make my depositThere is no way that that has been the cancellation policy this whole time or maybe my eyes and your representative are lyingThere was nothing more your company could accommodate me for when I called to cancel as far as options for a later date besides September and I still couldn't go at that time, but the company website advertises I can reschedule a later date before daysThere is nothing saying how much later it can or can not be, but it does say how flexible you are$(that I would never and did not agree to) is absurd particularly for seven months out, no accommodations that could help me, and clearly getting charged on, wait, which day was it again???....] Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] My family paid over $13,on a tour based on their company’s website that promised EXPERT tour guidesInstead, EF Tours hired someone who was completely unqualified and inept at her job The fact that they fired her for these very reasons is an admission from EF Tours that this person was not what they promised us and not at all what we paid forI have spent an entire year trying to get a response and now, through Revdex.com, they have admitted again that they were at fault by saying they are “disapointed (spelled wrong) that the Tour Director did not meet the expectations of EF.” Therefore an offer for one free meal, instead of any monetary compensation and no apology, is insulting and completely unacceptable

And it wasn't once it was every night! I was a paid traveler, not a chaperoneThe chaperones are your group leaders that travel free to help travelers should there be a problemI missed three days of tour because you didn't/wouldn't make arrangements for injured travelers and I refused to leave them behind alone in a large forgien city to navigate the transportation aloneAnd the worst is that she fell on your tour bus on loose carpet and injured herselfYou owe all of the travelers for the night sleeper train that was supposed to be part of the experienceAnd for the time traveling during the day that was supposed to be spent in ScotlandYou owe me for six days of meals when we were served slopAnd don't say it was forgien foodWe could see edible, even enviting meals being served next to us, but you paid only for slop to be fed to usYou owe me for two to four hours a day that was wasted traveling to distant hotels hours away from anythingThat stole precious site seeing or resting time from usYou should have advised the travelers that half of the sites you promised they would see would be seen through a bus window at high speeds or during one of your mini bathroom stopsI didn't expect a direct flight but also not four connections before we left the states with over three hour layovers at two of themWe had been up traveling over twenty four hours before we landed to be bussed around and not even arrive at the hotel until ten hours later in a town that wasn't even part of our tour! That was thirty six hours without sleep before we given a room that didn't even have a bed for me! You cancelled one of our biggest excursions that we paid extra for because it didn't make! How can you give that experience back, after all the whole trip is about the experiencesThe experiences that weren't cancelled were cut short to make time for the long travels to the out of town hotelsDon't tell me again that I knew they wouldn't be city center! They were no where near the city at allThey were all secluded with near no amenities with the exception of the one that refused to serve us breakfast not even a coffeeInstead they gave us a box with a day old soggy sandwich an apple and water to goThis was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime and we saved for it for nearly two yearsI didn't ask for a full refundI asked for half of the value in travel vouchers to your sister company, go ahead toursI'm am trying hard to give you the chanse to replace the trip of a lifetime that I was promisedI am being more than reasonable by asking you to meet me half wayI paid over 8k for my grandson and myselfI want a return of 4K in voucher to cover services not recievedThank you, Cindy blem Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below I was finally sent a copy of all invoices, booking conditions and insurance information on 4/5/ I still assert that copies of these should be sent by default as part of your forced participation in electronic billing After reviewing the documents, it appears that I would fall under the "EF'S STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY*" section of the Booking Conditions In my case, the trip is currently scheduled a year out The reason for my cancellation is because the trip is scheduled for a year out At the time the trip was postponed, I choose to remain part of the tour group The fact that the trip was not canceled at that time is demonstrated by the fact that you continued to remove funds from my account as part of the automatic payment plan.According to the Standard Cancellation Policy: days or more prior to departure Full refund less the $non-refundable deposit, all non-refundable fees, and a $cancellation fee If there is nothing else you can do for me, in the very least you can honor your own documented cancelation policy and refund an additional $per traveler.Regards, [redacted]
