When I signed up, I was not given the two documents you have sent meI was not told the specifics of what the "cancellation" part of the protection planI was only told that the protection plan would cover cancellationWhy was I not given this document when I signed up for the protection plan? This is an important part that I should have been told when I signed upAlso, I was not told about any cancellation fees when I signed up which is also important to knowWhen I called to cancel, the woman I spoke to said I wouldn't be getting any of my money backShe claimed that EF tours already started booking hotels and flights but if I decided to change my mind, I could put that money towards the SAME trip or a DIFFERENT trip but now you're telling me that it can only go towards the same trip? The woman also told me that there were fees taken out but she never told me why there were feesThis business is shady and apparently loves to rip off college studentsYou hide specifics from students and then you keep changing your storyI will be speaking to my lawyer about this

I was in contact with a representative today whom did not explain any extensionHowever the situation really does not give me many optionsMy son is a high school senior who has no intention of traveling in the future while he is in collegeSo the voucher would be of little useI hate that I am not able to exercise caution and safety on behalf of my student and choose not to travel to Europe considering the circumstancesI feel that EF has put me in a terrible position of loosing significant money if I were to choose to cancelConsidering the gravity of the terrorist attack and perceived threats, EF should really put parents concern for their children ahead of their financial gainI still feel it is a unscrupulous act and as a result would never recommend this tour company to anyoneI pray that my son is able to travel safely with Mr*** and his group.But I must reiterate, it is very disheartening that this is all that you are willing to offer considering no part of the trip has been planed as of yet and there was no loss of money to EF tours

Thank you for being in contact. EF Tours follows the recommendations of the State Department and we do not send our travelers to any country where a formal travel warning has been issuedWe understand people may not want to travel to London and we have several options for travelers.
Groups close to departure can modify their itineraries or individuals can receive a future travel voucher, less non-refundable fees. The future travel voucher allows monies already paid to EF to be used for a future tour. I looked at your account and see that a future travel voucher has been issued to your son after his account was cancelled. This can be used for a domestic or international trip. I REJECT this As I clearly stated....*** told me on the phone that my money would be refunded, minus the $processing fee plus the $for my insurance My circumstances were extenuating and not able to be rectified NO boys signed up for the trip My son would not be allowed to SLEEP IN A BED WITH A STRANGER of unknown age!!! How can I make this clearer? What EF Tours says and does are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.Please Read the the complaints filed against them The Revdex.com is making this unreasonably difficult I have no recording of the conversation, but they surely do They even tell you you will be recorded Listen to my conversation *** ***

Thank you for reaching out to usI apologize for your frustrationsWe are deeply saddened by the events in Paris
We have offered all of our travelers options if they are not feeling comfortable with their existing travel plansIf groups were not comfortable
traveling on their itinerary the group leader was offered the option to amend existing itinerary and travel on the same tour and date as scheduled, with the opportunity to revise specific cities visited or postpone the existing itinerary and travel later in In addition, we also offered to switch the group to a new itinerary that they were more comfortable with if that worked better for the group
If the group preferred to cancel the tour, all travelers were offered a full refund ( minus a $nonrefundable deposit and any insurance that they pay have purchased) in the form of a transferable travel voucherThis voucher can be used by the traveler, a member of their family or school community and can be used on an Educational Tour, College Break Tour, Go Ahead Vacation, Explore America US tour or College Study tour
We are confident in the options that we have provided our groups during this difficult time.

If they can put my money towards another trip, there is no reason they cannot refund my moneyCancellation fees were never talked about when I signed upI was under the impression that if I signed up for their insurance plan, I would be able to get some or most of my money back if I had to cancelThey told me they couldn't refund my money because they already started to book for hotels, etcbut if I sign up for another tour they can put that money towards that tripSo if they really did start booking and can't refund the money because of that then why are they able to put that money towards another trip? There is no reason I can't get even part of my money back.

Thank you for your message We are very sorry to hear that *** is not going to be able to travel When you called in on 04/12/the trip for *** was days away During that time our representative explained our standard cancellation fees but also gave you the
opportunity to lower the fees if you signed up for a EF tour. We gave you until 04/21/to respond to us and let us know what you would like to do. We did not receive any other information from you until Monday, May 9th. During this time a request was made to refund all money back except for the $enrollment fee and the $cancellation fee. Unfortunately, that was never part of the original conversation and was never offered as an exception. Please feel free to review out policies at www.eftours.com/BC.
