WebsiteBackup Reviews (199)

This company send out invoices for their service including a fake account number which all looks legit like you owe them when really it's to get you to sign up for their service. They target companies with websites and if an accounting person receives the mail they will probably pay it thinking it is something used... It's a scam and the Revdex.com won't report it either.

I received what appears to be a $70 bill for services I did not receive or request. I tried to contact the company via the phone number on the mailer, but I was unable to reach a human employee to inquire.

I received an invoice for $70 for website backup services that I did not request. I have never contacted this company about providing service. I believe this is a phishing scam.

Received an actual invoice from a company called Website Backup Company from Phoenix AZ. Does not state anywhere that it is just a solicitation. We have never used this company for anything and was not aware of them until we received this in the mail.

Received a fake $70 invoice from this company claiming to do our website backups. Has our company name and domain information on the "fake" invoice. Contacting them only led to phone tree circles and voice mail prompts, nobody ever answered the phone. Not sure how they would provide a backup of a website that is housed on a virtual server sitting 5 feet from my location, who is imaged on a nightly basis... This kind of stuff is blatant false and should not be allowed to continue.

Our Company received a invoice from WEBSITEBACKUP.COM for $70.00 for a web backup that we DID NOT sign up for.

We tried calling Customer Service two different times Waiting 27 min. the first time and 30 min.the second to only be sent to a Voice Mail to leave a message to not get a Call back or response of any kind. Then tried to Email Customer Service to still get no results

I received an invoice dated 3/16/15 for an annual website backup service. It even had an account number and our website listed on it. I have never ordered any backup service from this company or had any contact with them. I just read several other complaints from other people of the same nature. I've seen similar "invoices" that are really a solicitation for business but there is no mention anywhere that this is a solicitation for business. This is a scam.

This company send a legitimate looking invoice for your website backup service. It even has your official looking 'account number' to reference your account, which technically does not exist.

Unsuspecting businesses would assume its an invoice, but it extremely deceptive looking. I tried several times to call their Customer Service department, but the wait is always 30+ minutes. They give option to leave a message, but no responses/call backs to date have been made.

BOGUS INVOICE: Beware! These fake invoices are going to multiple businesses. File a complaint with the USPS also. The invoice, as with the others reporting, is for $70.00 website backup.

Like other reviewers, we received an unsolicited "invoice" for $70 for services not rendered nor requested. WebsiteBackup is a scam.

I received an invoice from WebsiteBackup for backing up my domain. The company that hosts my website says the $70 invoice I received from WebsiteBackup is fraudulent as the host backs up my website without the help of WebsiteBackup. I just want others to know of WebsiteBackup's practices that result in invoices for services not provided.

I am adding my complaint regarding the phony invoice we received from this company. It was identical to a business invoice complete with account number and payment coupon. Extremely deceptive and I am thankful I checked with our web designer before paying it. If you pay, they sign you up and if you want to cancel, they cancel your account with no refund (according to the fine print on the back of the invoice).

My business received a fraudulent invoice from WebsiteBackup.com for $70 for website backup and other hosting services. Apparently, we are one of many, there are multiple complaints all over the internet about these fake invoices. The letter looks 100% like an invoice and the tear-off payment slip requests that a check be made out to "WEBSITEBACKUP COMPANY".

They sent us a bill for a service plan. We never ordered or were contacted before this bill came to us. Their bill went right into the shredder. TOTAL SCAM COMPANY!

We received an official looking invoice from them along with an account number even though we have never done business with them. We contacted them and was asked to leave a voice mail and no response was given.

Received an invoice for $70.00 for services we did not ask for. When I tried to call the company it was impossible to speak to a person due to high call volume. Business practices of this nature are reprehensible.

This company is definitely running a scam. We also received a $70 invoice in the mail. It looked legitimate, but no one here knew anything about it. It took four calls (with messages left) and an email to finally get a response from "Sierra." I too, was told they really weren't clear as to how this invoice was generated, since they don't even offer any service for $70. Really??? My advice to anyone who receives a bill from them is to throw it away. Don't waste your time!

I received an unsolicited invoice for $70 for services that were not requested. They may call it advertising, but it seems its purpose is to get companies to pay for unnecessary services, it seems like fraud and it should not be tolerated.

An invoice from this company showed up in the mail, never heard of them, never signed up for their service and never will. Based on reviews on the web I'm not the only one in the country to get these fraudulent bills. Just like everyone else mentioned, 30 minute hold time to be dropped into a voicemail. I'd like to bill them $70 for the time they wasted of mine. Have some pride, go start a real business.

Received an invoice from this company which I do not get any service from. Has account number and account summary with an amount for an annual charge. Also has detachable portion to mail your payment with envelope. Doesn't say this isn't a bill. Back is not very clear.
Any one could easily make payments thinking they owed this if one didn't question it. If a company does this I would then question their business practices as it is deceptive. Do they really back up websites?
