I purchased a previously-owned vehicle from a dealership with Permaplate already appliedI was told the product would protect my interior and exterior against, among other things, oxidation and weathering
years into my ownership of the vehicle, I have massive clear coat failure to multiple areas of my vehicle (trunk, hood, and roof)I filed a claim twice (having misunderstood the claim form during the original filing)The company has no interest in fixing the paint and keeps pushing me through a series of loopholesWhat is the point of purchasing a product expressly for paint protection if it does not cover paint damage? I am deeply dissatisfied with this product and with this company's customer service, and I will never recommend them to anyone
I purchased a new motor home in April and the dealer sold me a PermaPlate windshield coating product that included years of replacement coverage if the windshield was damaged by road debris. In April 2018, I incurred damage that required windshield replacement. PermaPlates claims process required that I work with Safelite for fulfilment. After much scheduling incompetence on Safelites part, I showed up for a scheduled, one day appointment at the Safelite facility in Union City, CA, and Safelite folks there determined did not have all needed parts (Note that the Union City staff had responded affirmatively if they had verified that all parts were in hand -before scheduling the appointment) Safelite then delayed ordering the needed parts until it was too late to have the work done at the Union City, CA Safelite facility (weeks after the damage was reported). We live on our motorhome full time and had commitments to work at a charitable organization in W
Perma Plate is an absolute waste! By far one of the biggest scams when buying a new car
Don't trust what the salesman is sayin and definitely don't trust Perma Plate
Their appearance protection product guarantee sounds really nice up front but has so many clauses and stipulations that in order for someone to qualify for a repair you would have to jump threw a ring of fire and walk on water before being approved
They have by far the worst customer service known to man Waste of money
Save the money you would pay for this plan, tuck it away and use it for the repairs needed at a later date as you will ABSOLUTELY not receive a dime and/or covered service from Perma Plate!!
I tried redeeming my coverage on very small dents that chipped away paint They absolutely would not cover it and said to refer to my sent coverage
The dent coverage from dent guard also deflected and said they could repair unless it was a dent that didn't have paint chipped!!! You can't have a dent without paint chipping!!!

I followed the required protocol for submitting a claim--including paying to have my car detailed inside and out and making an appointment with the Perma Plate insurance adjusterThe Perma Plate adjuster indicated that my entire car needed to be re-paintedThe Perma Plate adjustor did not provide a copy of the submitted report to meMy claim was deniedI resubmitted my claim because I have faded spots throughout my carMy claim was denied a second time
I was hesitant about filing a claim because if you have ever had experience with any kind of warranties, it can be a real painThis was super easy, almost too easyI called a rep and asked for help, she was so nice, guided me through the process and explained what would happenWhen I was done with the online claim they said they would email me with in a few days the status and I thought...suuureeWell they did! It was approved and they already had the name of the business I would be taking my vehicle toThe business that did the work was fabulous as wellIt was just really nice to work with a company that likes and wants to help people and makes it easyEven though I was a skeptic I would put this product on other vehicles because they are so great to work with
I am so happy with the no hassle process from the online claim submission to the service completionI have used the services twice in the years I have had my car with zero complaints!
Overall the experience, the job done and the person/persons who handled our claim were very good The only negative I can give is that we did not fully understand what was covered and wish we had more information in that regards

Overall Positive experience permaplate addressed my claim promptly and resolved it's within a few days
