I was guaranteed a product with a US Manufactures Warranty I received a"Grey Market" product

bait and switch I tried oredering an advertised sharp tv on thge 16th of january was called the next day saying tv was sold out .so on the 30th of january I saw another add of theres advertiseing the same tv promoting it as a super bowl special come on what dose it take to put these jokers out of busisness

I placed an order on 5/15/for a 5D MarkIVToday is 5/18/and I attempted to cancel my order before it is completed through processing and accruing shipping/cancellation feesI spoke with Jeff S and he said the product had shipped at 10am on 5/17/
However, I called *** who was the shipper at 4pm and they mentioned that they had not received the package and that the label was created on 12:27pm which is later than Jeff had quotedI called Jeff to cancel the order and not ship it but he said it already shipped and that the shipper updates their system at midnight (I called the shipper and they said their system updates in minutes)So then I call Jeff again and he said he didnt care, the product had already shipped and that I would have to pay shipping and return shipping plus a 15% restocking fee which in total amounts to more than $because the camera costs $

As with many others complaints with this company we placed an order from Abe's of Maine based on their website price of $for a Tamron 150-mm lens The order was accepted but then they asked us to call about placing the order A person named Jeff S*** then called and I let him talk to my wife since he said we could buy a "retail package" Basically it amounted to lens caps, a hood, a bag and bracket for tripod We got a order confirmation and receipt all based on the same order number with the $ We never were provided a price on the "retail package" until it showed up on our credit card for $ One can purchase all the "retail package" items for less than $ I feel this practice of calling to confirm the price and then charge extra for items that appear on the original offer for $deceptive I immediately contacted my credit card company to file a complaint This was never the practice at the old Abe's of Maine You got what was offered on line Be

I ordered a LG TV from this company After placing the order I received an email telling me to call in and verify my order Upon calling into them I was told that the set was not for home use and that it was a volt set, and that even though their site said free shipping I was going to have to pay shipping charges I called LG on the model number and the model number indicates to be sold in the US market and as such this is the only model type they have here Abes of Main claimed there were models of which one was for Retail and the other one was not I told them to send anyway but that was when they said I would have to pay shipping because it was out of their area Nothing was listed during the order process for either of the situations listed above When sent to customer service, they just hung up on me Buyer be ware!

I ordered a Canon 5D III from Abe's Of MaineAccording to their email, they would ship the product to me within business daysHowever, they would not ship the camera to me, insisting on that I call themI was given a number which I cannot reach from CanadaWhy couldn't they just ship the camera to me?

The company is falsely advertising electronic and camera related products online under the name of Abe's of MaineI ordered a Tamron telephoto lens which are made in Japan and they sent me one made in China and will not let me return the item without paying them a 15% return feeNothing on their website states that this is a fake lens and not the real item I ordered or thought I was ordering

and the warranty company will service the camera for you. I apologize but there is nothing we can do at this point the order is over a year old and we cant take the item back or refund you the difference

Abe's of Maine advertised a LG Oled Etv on the internet for $I purchased it for that priceI then received a phone call to verify my purchase and when I called I was told what I purchased was the European model and if I wanted the US model it would cost $dollarsNo where on the site does it mention a European or any other It was just a bate and switch sales pitch to get me to spend more moneyI feel this is advertising and needs to be stoppedI also feel that they should be made to sell that model as advertizedThank you

I am rejecting this response because: At first I was offered a yr warranty on the item, then I was offered a yr warranty and a $refund. Frankly, I do not trust this company and certainly not their warranty. I'm not sure where they came up with a $refund, but that is almost a negligible amount compared to the $300+ I was fleeced out of due to their bait and switch scheme. They should have to prove to me that there is more than one type of panel as they claim for this particular TV model. By this, I mean a snapshot of a back panel code on one of their "business/office" models, which they called an AUas opposed to the AH01. Based on my research, this panel model does not exist, so I was up-sold a TV that they knew didn't exist to make an extra profit. This type of business model should not be allowed to persist and should undergo serious scrutiny. The attached weblink from consumeraffairs.com highlights the number of "customers" that have fell victim to this bait and switch scam. If I can't get a refund for the difference in price from the TV I originally purchased to the one I was up-sold based on a lie, then I'd like to see the Revdex.com initiate their own investigation into this company to determine for themselves whether their business practices are legitimate.***
