This complaint should be dismissed since its without meritWe reached out to this customer and told him if he was unhappy he could return the items for a full refundHe wanted us to issue a refund with out returning the merchandiseWe do offer versions of this cameraHe paid for the USA
version of the camera and that is what he received he paid $with that we included a 16gb card and UV filterThe international version of the camera is $On 2/our customer service agent emailed the customer that we would offer him a $discount to satisfy himHe would still be able to keep the memory card and the filterThe customer refused and stated he wanted us to refund him without returning the merchandiseThe customer is not being honest and simply wants to get a $camera for freeHe can still return the items for a full refund

The customer service in this place is a jokeFirst off, it’s the only place that advertises a body only camera and then calls and says it doesn’t come with a batteryNOT STATED ANYWHERE IN THE DESCRIPTION! So I take the bait and “upgrade “ to the “retail kit”I needed the camera for a weekend shoot so I ordered it 2nd day, the shipped FedEx groundcalled them the next day and informed them of their error, first they offered to take $off as a courtesy, I wasn’t interested I needed the camera for a photo shoot in a couple of daysThey stated they would resend the order overnight, I received the order shipped confirmation, it was shipped UPS groundThe “supervisor” named Steve is totally incompetent and shouldn’t be supervising a flea circusStay away from this joke of a company

I purchased a Nikon Dcamera with a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens from this businessThe advertised price was $1,Shortly after I placed my order online, a sales rep called and told me there was a problem with the order and had to verify some thingsHe then said he had a better offer in a kit and that the camera I purchased was not as good as a deal he could give meHe said the camera came with no accessories but he could give me the Presidents Day Bundle for $I agreed to paying $420.00, thinking I was getting a kit similar to the other one on their website for about the same priceThe order came and what I got was the original purchase for $more than the advertised priceI called back and the salesman only argued with me, not letting me explain why I was unhappy with the purchase, and told me the other camera was a Korean model with Korean writing on it
I did some research before calling him and found the particular Nikon I purchased is mad

This is one of the biggest rip offs on the web They purposely advertise prices so they can get you to order and then you are FORCED to call and "verify" the order There is actually no verification needed, they make you call on EVERY single order so they can try and sell you a warranty or insuranceIf you do not pay the additional money (anywhere from $- $more) they will not fulfill your orderThis site is a total waste of time and designed to make you pay more than other bigger sites like *** *** *** *** *** Buyer beware there is a REASON they are lower than the completion

Terrible experience with Abes of MainePlease do NOT do business with themI, as well as many who have commented here, have been caught up in a terrible bait and switch scamI ordered a Nikon Damd received the automatic email to please call Jeff at extension 272, which, not surprisingly is no longer a valid extensionI was promised all kinds of things by Jeff, and he told me that my camera would not come with a battery or chargerSo he said he'd make me a great deal where I would receive a bag, an upgraded UV filter (I purchased the $one) and the Nikon Battery and chargerMy bill ended up almost $moreI asked him how much would it be to just purchase the battery and chargerHe told me it was around $so I stupidly said "OK"After doing research, I realized that the battery and charger was WAY less than that!! I received my packageI did not receive a bag, I did not receive the upgraded filter...even though I received an email with the $filter listed as in my order, and I attempted to contact ANYONE at ABESI sat on hold for minutesThen I called sales and got right through...but was put on hold againI kept trying for about an hour, and finally got ahold of LisaShe told me that I could return everything, but pay a 15% restocking fee for everythingNow...from any product page you can click on the link with the "Abes Return Policy"That page states that returns will be charged 15% of the original shipping feeButIf you go to their OTHER Return Policy Page...hard to findthey do indeed state that you're on the hook for 15% for anything being returnedLisa promised to refund $100, and send me their 3-piece, $77mm filter kit along with a Bower camera bagI agreedWellyet another bait and switchThe bag, listed for $on their site is available online for $- $And, they did NOT send their $filter kit, but some cheapo "Ultimax" filter set that sells for around $I am writing this while on hold once again for the past minutesI'm sure my phone number is blackballed over there and I get put into the "eternal" hold loop whenever I try calling themPLEASE, DO NOT SPEND A DIME AT ABES OF MAINE! I am rejecting this response because Abe's of Maine knows we never authorized to pay more for the TV we order and never authorized to upgrade to a more expensive TV. I believe this could be easily resolved, two different people I spoke with at Abe's of Maine told me that the conversations they had with costumers including my husbands authorization were recordedI was told it takes up to hours to pull the recorded conversationsIf my husband authorized to either pay more for the non import model of the TV we order or authorized to upgrade to a model we still don't want (3D) it would be in the recorded conversation you claim to haveI suggest that Abe's produces that recording so this can come to a conclusion good or badI have attached our original invoice which has our incorrect phone number and the price we purchased the TV forI am including an email I sent to several Abe's of Maine employees including, *** who responded to the Revdex.com complaint, no one responded to my email or attempted to call me beyond my initial conversations with *** and three other individuals the Monday morning I called. I am including articles that articulate that Abe's of Maine has a reputation for "non-delivery of products, misrepresentation of availability of merchandise, refusal to honor cancellations or provide timely refunds, unprofessional conduct, failure to resolve customer complaints, overcharging, undisclosed cancellation of orders,improper upselling tactics, and bait-and-switch selling"This is research, sadly, done to lateAt this point I will only accept a immediate refund of $(I say immediate because your reputation now proceeds you) or you can come collect your TV. I want to mention that Abe's of Maine shipper that delivered the TV to my home, made my husband open and take it out of the box to check for damages because he stated they would not take it back if we noticed damages after he left. It is just a sad state of affairs that Abe's of Main's objective is to taking advantage of people. I am most upset about this situation because I don't know who else they are doing this toI assume some people can't afford to pay for the things Abes' is fraudulently charging them for. I will continue to make sure I make other consumers aware of my experiences any way that I can to help others avoid the troubles that come with being their customer

I was in the market for a new Nikon Dcamera bodyI saw an ad for Abe's of Maine (Westpark Electronics, LLC), that says they had the Nikon Dbody in stock for $3,When I called to order, their salesperson (Jeff S***) said it was NOT in stock, but he could get me one and ship it right away for $more, for a total of $3,During our conversation, not once did he ever say it was a gray market camera (a camera meant to be sold in another country other than the United States, and one that Nikon USA will NOT honor a warranty for)The Darrived on Saturday, April 7, in the retail kit box that shows that it includes a Nikkor 24-VR zoom lensHowever upon opening the retail kit box, the lens had been removed prior to shipmentThe only thing included in the box besides the camera battery was a battery, a battery charger, a USB connection cable, a camera strap, and the DmanualOn the side of the box, it said it was supposed to also include a warrantyThere

I ordered a inch LG tv from Abes of Maine on Dec 9th, 2017, the same company as WestPark ElectronicsThe agreed price was $including standard 7-ground shippingI have received an email confirmation from the company to this effect, including the exact amount and shippingAs stated, the order included free 7-day shipping to CaliforniaThen two days later the company called me, saying they needed to confirm the orderThey claimed there was a mandatory extra charge of $for shipping insurance that would also include expedited deliveryWhen I got a new confirmation email there was no mention of either expedited delivery, the new increased credit card charge -- delivery was still 7-day standard delivery, and the TV would arrive after Christmas

Abe’s of Maine does not stand behind the products they sell or their warrantiesI bought a Canon 5D Mark III Digital SLR and a 2-year warranty that was supposed to cover everything but malicious damage and losing the camera The camera was used extensively around water, but was not dropped in the waterIt started working poor, so we took it to an authorized dealer who said there was moisture inside and could not be fixedI contact Abe’s warranty company, New Leaf, and explained the camera was not dropped in the water but there is moisture damage New Leaf said the camera was not covered, had I dropped in the water it would have been covered; but since I was truthful and explained it was used around water New Leaf would not honor the warrantyI then contact Abe’s of Maine and Lisa, the Customer Service Manager, said they would “make this right”After trying for several months for Abe’s to cover the warranty and “make it right”, Abe’s offered to give me back what I paid for the warranty, I don’t want the warranty payment back; that would be like paying car insurance and when you need the insurance they give you your premium back with no coverage Wednesday, October 24, Abe’s of Main offered to SELL me a camera at a discount I don’t want to buy another camera from Abe’s, I want the camera replaced under the warrantyI first contact New leaf and Abe’s in July and four months later I am still trying to get Abe’s to do the right thing and honor the warranty I purchased on the camera from them
