I would never choose to do business with this companyI have received countless phone calls asking me to call DEBBIE Y***When I returned the first call (not knowing what the call was in reference to since they did not state a company name or reason for calling), the person (not Debbie Y***) explained what the company was and what they were offeringI told her that I already work with another travel company and I have been very happy with their services so I would not be working with any other companiesI was told that my name would be taken off the listIt wasn'tI have been called countless times this yearOften voicemail's are left requesting that I call Debbie Y [redacted] with a phone number (which changes)I no longer return these voicemail'sIf they happen to catch me at my desk, I have answered the phone in an effort to make the phone calls stopIt never worksThe calls are always made by an "assistant" who apologizes and says my name will be removed, yet I continue to receive calls multiple times per weekToday, I answeredA young man placed me on hold for Debbie Y***I thought I finally had my chance! After waiting on hold for several minutes (I only waited because I am desperate for these calls to stop) the same young man came back on the line telling me that Debbie Y [redacted] isn't available! I would never choose to do business with a company that harasses people in this wayI certainly wouldn't subject my students families to such a company!

My daughter school was setup to go on a trip to Washington D.C. in April 28 of 2016. However the once I paid the trip off for myself and donations were made by family and friends for my daughter trip..Worldstrides cancelled the trip on 2/16/16(not me nor the school). The leader was not made aware of this(school) nor were anyone that was schedule for the trip. We found out more than a month later. Worldstrides was still sending emails to us during this time period to prepare for the trip. Now I get they had a refund program but I was not at all cancelling the trip so I did not see a need to pay someone $99.00 for me to get a full refund of my own money. Instead they gave me $230 of my full $702 and non of the people who donated to my daughters account will get their money back, I have to pay everyone their money back which is a total $582-$131 that they did refund back to that account. I am ok with them keeping the deposit but I think that it is not fair for people to have to pay to re

Dear Ms [redacted] : Thank you for contacting WorldStrides regarding your daughter's accountIt is my understanding that [redacted] was scheduled to accompany [redacted] on their upcoming trip to Washington, D.CHowever, you have recently cancelled her account and have some concerns regarding your refundOn May 11, , when you registered online, you were presented with and agreed to certain Terms & ConditionsThese Terms & Conditions provided a detailed explanation of the cancellation and refund policiesDuring the enrollment process, you chose not to enroll in the Full Refund Program which ·'protects your payments and provides a refund [redacted] minus the FRP fee if you, the Program Leader, school, or school's administration need to cancel at any time prior to departure for any reason ." Since you chose not to enroll in the Full Refund Program, a refund in this instance would be processed according to the Standard Cancellation Policy, which states: ·'This policy applies to participants who choose not to be enrolled in the Full Refund ProgramWithin seven calendar days following receipt of your registration confirmation or initial payment invoice (whichever is received first), you may cancel your WorldStrides program and receive a full refundBeyond the seven day grace period, if you, the Program Leader, school, or school administration cancel, World Strides will retain 25% of the base trip price [redacted] (minimum charge of $if base trip price is $or more) if your cancellation letter is postmarked more than days prior to the group's departure, 50% of the base trip price [redacted] if your cancellation letter is postmarked to days prior to group's departure, or 100% of the base trip price [redacted] if your cancellation letter is postmarked days or less prior to group's departure." In researching this matter I have found that you made a payment on May 14, in the amount of $49.00, a payment in the amount of $on June I, and another payment of $on July 28, However, the July payment was declined and [redacted] 's account was assessed a $return check fee Total payments received minus the nonrefundable deposit equal $Under the Standard Cancellation Policy, you would not be due a refund in this instanceHowever, World Strides made an exception and provided you with a refund of all monies paid minus the nonrefundable deposit and return check feeIn order to make that exception and override our system, the Customer Support Representative handling this matter had to reinstate the account and cancel as an exceptionThere was never a need for you to make additional payments in order to obtain a refundI am sorry that this was not clearly communicated to you upon cancellationI apologize for any confusion and/or frustration this situation has caused youHowever, I do hope that the explanation above addresses your concernsShould you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at *** [redacted] We will be providing a copy of this correspondence as part of our response to the recent filing you made with the Revdex.com (Case#: [redacted] ) in RichmondChristi Carel

In reviewing your accounts, I see the following: [redacted] ***: 4/23/14- $payment for the non-refundable registration fee 5/13/14- $payment [redacted] ***: 4/23/14- $payment for non-refundable registration fee 5/13/14- $payment Pursuant to the Terms & Conditions and payment option selected, each account was charged a handling fee in the amount of $for the 5/13/paymentsTherefore, the refunds for you account would be $on [redacted] and $on yours Unfortunately, we are not in position to provide a refund for the non-refundable deposit or the fee for the Full Refund ProgramHowever, we have made an exception and refunded the handling fees on each of your accountsThis brings your total refund up to $for both accounts to be applied to the credit cards used for payment I apologize for the frustration this situation has caused you and do hope that you and/or [redacted] will be in a position to travel with WorldStrides in the future Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] We will be providing a copy of this correspondence as part of our response to the recent filing you made with the Revdex.com (Case # [redacted] ) in Richmond Sincerely, [redacted] Paralegal/HR Assistant

I signed my daughter and myself to go on a trip June and we ended up having some financial hardships and had to cancel our tripWhen we signed up for the trip we did the insurance for a full refund if we could not attendI know that we do not get the insurance money back but when I contacted them they sent me an invoice somehow showing they don't owe us anything I have contacted them numerous times and the last email was suppose to be forwarded in to a supervisor and I have never heard backThe insurance I feel is a scam to get more money out of you because if you cancel they refuse to give the refundI told them I would have been better off just paying the deposit of $ [redacted] and nothing else but I was under the impression if we couldn't go we would get the refundWe had two accounts as both are owed a refund when I asked for a copy of the other account they never sent it and their system will not let me access it Thank you [redacted]

This is concerning a school trip (trip ID [redacted] ) I signed my son up for through his school. (customer account # [redacted] ) Worldstrides withdrew $99. on 10/6/15, $109. on 10/22/15, 12/11/15,and 01/12/16 totaling $426.00. I was told when he decided he didn't want to go, to cancel within 10 days of the next withdrawal and that withdrawal wouldn't come out. I canceled Feb 4, 2016 with a phone call. The call asked for an email also, I did email that same day asking to cancel. I received an email informing me the refund would take 4 to 6 weeks that same day Feb 04, 2016. Another email saying 'sorry to see you go', on Feb 10, 2016. Its been eight and no one will talk to me. They even sent me an email saying for $25. they'll let my son back on the list for the trip, but nothing about the refund.

My daughter planned on going on a trip with her school, I sent twenty dollars towards my daughters trip to World StridesShe has since decided not to go on the trip and I have tried contacting World Strides numerous time for the refundTo which they never returned the money or respond to a emailI also had paid $for a full refund option....if my child at any time chooses not to go on the trip they would refund the whole amount that was paidThe fifty dollars is non-refundable 02/10/ WORLDSTRIDES [redacted] PPD this is when they took out the twenty dollars This is the worst business I have ever dealt with I just want my money back

My child brought home material for a Worldstrides trip to France for her 8th grade class on September 6thAfter reviewing the basic materials and speaking to her French Teacher I chose to Enroll my husband, daughter and myself for the trip and proceeded to call to set up monthly payments on September 15thWhen I spoke to the customer representative he stated that this deposit will go toward the trip amount and because I am paying now I will save [redacted]  discount and that a total of [redacted]  per account would need to be paid within daysOnce the first payment is processed and if cancellation proceeds first payment that I would receive only a percentage backThere were zero conversations about a "grace" period in the first days, I set up the plan and completed the conversationFast forward to now (October 6) and a situation has occurred to where we are unable to move forward with the trip, have not surpassed the day mark and have only paid the deposit on each account

I have paid for a trip to Washington, D.C with my daughters classThis company makes it sound so easy and convenient to make payments, do not be misledThe process of signing each of us up and combining our trips was ridiculousIt is made to sound like as long as the trip is paid for by the deadline then that is all that matters, when in fact you will be paying a late fee each time your installment isn't exactly on time ($15) AND a fee for paying online ($6)Also if you want to be in a room with just you and your child you will pay a fee for your child and a fee for yourself, in my case it cost an extra $for us to be assigned a room togetherHere's the main kicker, when I went to the parent meeting we were given a registration deadline, you have until that day to make payment arrangements or pay in fullSo I registered and decided I would just pay whatever I could every month to help get the balance down and pay it in full when I got my taxesIn January, ( two months before the deadline the harassment started, I told them I had planned to pay in full with my taxes but the representative that answered DEMANDED a large sum that dayFinally the calls slowed down and the emails started, I replied to one letting them know what my plan was and at that point I was planning on just telling them to shove itbut I actually got a very quick and courteous response from a rep who did in fact put the cancellation of my trip on holdThe trip is now completely paid in full, however today is the day that I found out about the extra room fees

I have received calls from World Strides at my school for three years nowI will not answer or return their calls as when the caller leaves a message he or she states his/her name and asks me to call him/her at work or at home in the eveningI have a real problem with a business that cannot leave an appropriate message on my voicemail with detailsIf the caller would state his/her true intentions for calling me, I would at least respect the business, however, I cannot trust a business that gets teachers on the phone by leading us to believe they are a parent of a student or someone we should know when my caller id shows them as being from World Strides

We paid a $deposit for our daughter to travel to England in July with Worldstrides through her high schoolRecently terrorist activities have seemed to be escalating in Europe and the State Department issued a travelers advisory for Americans traveling to European countriesWe are concerned for our daughter's safety and there is no way their company can ensure that my child will be safe from any type of terrorist attacks while in EuropeI contacted the company today to cancel her trip and get my $refundedThey told me that I would have had to cancel within days of booking the trip to get a refundI explained about our very real fears in regard to traveling to Europe and that and advisory had been issued by the State DepartmentThey said that didn't matter, we would not be refunded the $I cannot believe that a company can retain $for a trip that is to take place more than year from nowBased on everything that has been happening around the world, I feel

I paid for my son to take a trip to DC four four daysIt was an Inauguration trip#1) they never made it to the Inauguration, there tour guide had them walking outside the inauguration for over hrAll the other tour guides got there group in just fineBut to walk my child around violent riots is very unsafeIt's very upsetting he missed the Inauguration which is what the trip was sold on! #2) she left them more than once and had to be called to come backIt clearly states that there tour guide will be with them the whole time#3) they claim to provide a safe environmentBut they took my son by riots, and Right through female protestingThis is not what I paid forHe saw women with *** hats on and signs that stayed "don't grab it eat it"

As I read the other reviews it reflects my issue as well I do not know about the travel trip itself, and I will hope for the best for the rest of my son's class that is goingI cancelled my son's trip months before they are going, and they told me that the deposit was not refundable There is a lot of pressure to get on and make a deposit for the trip months in advance Nowhere does it say that this is a non-refundable $deposit Yet that is the reality of it You can pay an additional $for cancellation insurance Who knew that meant even with a month notice They told me they don't refund any of it even with a month notice It would be much more honest - and as a parent we could make a better decision - if they simply labeled it as a non-refundable deposit This is obviously where they get a substantial profit, having done very little for my son and taking $for the courtesy to do so

My daughter had a trip that I paid for and use a debt card and then the trip she wasn't able to attend I requested a refund that I paid and have no success getting my money back I would not recommend using this company with their excuses and the run around you get when you paid for insurance and can't get your money back !!
