My child brought home material for a Worldstrides trip to France for her 8th grade class on September 6thAfter reviewing the basic materials and speaking to her French Teacher I chose to Enroll my husband, daughter and myself for the trip and proceeded to call to set up monthly payments on September 15thWhen I spoke to the customer representative he stated that this deposit will go toward the trip amount and because I am paying now I will save *** discount and that a total of *** per account would need to be paid within daysOnce the first payment is processed and if cancellation proceeds first payment that I would receive only a percentage backThere were zero conversations about a "grace" period in the first days, I set up the plan and completed the conversationFast forward to now (October 6) and a situation has occurred to where we are unable to move forward with the trip, have not surpassed the day mark and have only paid the deposit on each account

My daughter planned on going on a trip with her school, I sent twenty dollars towards my daughters trip to World StridesShe has since decided not to go on the trip and I have tried contacting World Strides numerous time for the refundTo which they never returned the money or respond to a emailI also had paid $for a full refund option....if my child at any time chooses not to go on the trip they would refund the whole amount that was paidThe fifty dollars is non-refundable

On behalf of family who recently attended a tour group ran by this company, I wish I could rate minus a star, trip was all around disappointing, makes me not want to visit France or Italy especially with this tour groupPeople do your homework please when researching tour groups, there is a reason they have so many "stars" on ** ***! For more than years Worldstrides has called individual teachers at my school in an attempt to sell student trips I have repeatedly told them our teachers do not schedule these types of trips and have asked to have our phone removed from their "call list." Sales people from this company persist in calling the school without disclosing the purpose of their phone call, asking for specific teachers, then leaving a misleading message misrepresenting themselves as concerned parents, for example, "I am calling with a question about your history class, please call me at work or if it's after hours my home/cell number is..." Teachers phone back only to discover they are speaking with a sales representative from a travel company The teachers find this practice deceptive I have phoned the main headquarters in Virginia and been assured this practice will stopped, but to no avail Today we received a message from a woman with a question about our history class and upon calling back found

I have had a monthly fee electronically debited from my checking account for many months to cover a trip to *** with my daughter's 8th grade classThings came up with my health that is preventing me from taking that tripI called on 8/30/to cancel and was advised I would get refund of $in to weeksI called on 09/09/to see if the refund was sent yet and was advised the first costumer service rep was wrongMy refund would be $and it would be sent between 9/12/and 09/15/On 09/16/I called to check the status of my refund and was advised I was again given wrong informationThat refund would take days because they have to wait days for my last payment to clear the bankWell my last payment of $was electronically debited from my back on 08/16/It is now 09/21/2016, my refund has yet to be sent

I would like to state that I was a chaperone with my stepson for the trip to *** ** in June I was informed throughout the process that since the co-chaperone and I were going that we would receive a price discount It was never really clear how much or how items were deducted throughout the process, but we just continued to work assuming all would be fine in the end
In March, as a chaperone, I was first told to wait to pay for the trip until all discounts had been deducted After waiting to pay, I received an email in April stating that both my trip and my son's trip had been cancelled due to a lack of payment I called Worldstrides and was told that my bill must be paid in full before departure(this was different than what I was originally told) During that conversation and in the original Worldstrides documentation, it was stated that NO STUDENT MAY GO ON THE TRIP UNTIL ALL PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE I promptly paid for my son and I IN FULL and was assured

I enrolled my daughter account #*** for the trip #***, also enrolled for the so called program FULL REFUND PROGRAM in May I paid for the non refundable deposit fee and I registered for automatic withdrawals of monthlyMy daughter changed schools and I have to cancel the tripI emailed on 9/to cancel and I received an email from Jawaun C***, stating that they will retain for the non-refundable deposit and also for the cost of the program...? Cost of the program? they never advertise clearly to schools or parents about this fee, also they told me I will received my check between to weeks I talked to Tom M*** about this fee and that I want my full refund and my check immediately because it was already weeks without receiving a refundMark said the refunds take days to be issued after the cancellationMark denied that customer service is telling a different statement to the customers and did not want to refund the sayin

I cancelled my childs trip mailing them a letter on the 10thI also spoke to customer service on the 15th who said it would be cancelled and I would not be chargedUpon checking my account on the 24th, I was pending a charge from themI immediately sent them an email request to stop the draft and cancel the serviceThe charges were still put throughI also had a $credit on the account and I was previously told I would not be drafted till MayThere was enough money there to cover the first few paymentsmember id *** *** ***

My daughter was going to *** with her High school, we had to cancel due to family issuesI had payed approximately *** already, I also purchased the insurance, to receive a refund in case of a cancellation I am now supposed to receive *** and a *** travel voucher I have called many times and have had a few phone calls where I did reach someone no one could give me the same answer, I have tried to get a corporate number no seemed to have this number I just want my money back as they have stated I would get when I registered and bought insurance

This company is very deceiving Read the fine print! If you decide to make any payment arrangements check your account constantly It would be best to pay in full up front They are not clear on payment dates and then they charge $late fees but your next statement will not show this The first payment was due on the 25th of a month, but the next payment was due on the 1st (days later) I will never use them again!!!

My daughter school was setup to go on a trip to Washington D.Cin April of However the once I paid the trip off for myself and donations were made by family and friends for my daughter trip..Worldstrides cancelled the trip on 2/16/16(not me nor the school)The leader was not made aware of this(school) nor were anyone that was schedule for the tripWe found out more than a month laterWorldstrides was still sending emails to us during this time period to prepare for the tripNow I get they had a refund program but I was not at all cancelling the trip so I did not see a need to pay someone $for me to get a full refund of my own moneyInstead they gave me $of my full $and non of the people who donated to my daughters account will get their money back, I have to pay everyone their money back which is a total $582-$that they did refund back to that accountI am ok with them keeping the deposit but I think that it is not fair for people to have to pay to re

On *** ** *** I registered my daughter for a Europe school trip through WorldStrides, thought it would be a great experience for her On *** *** ***, * days later, I called to find out how to cancel the trip I spoke with *** ***, a company rep, she informed me that because I had cancelled the trip within * days of registering, I was due a full refund of everything I paid, including the trip cancellation protection I had purchased, and would receive a check in *** weeks All I had to do was send her an email requesting the cancellation, which I did She sent me an email back confirming the cancellation and informed me I would receive a check in my daughters name in the amount of *** within *** weeks ** *** *** *** I received a "Travel Voucher" in the amount of ***, and a check in the amount of ***, obviously not the full refund amount I cancelled this *** trip because I requested a cost break down of the trip, in which the company claimed they

My son's high school decided to go on a trip to Barcelona and Madrid last year The trip had to be paid in full by the beginning of February Now, that we are within months of leaving for the trip, we have been notified that the dates and itinerary have changed We have kids that can no longer go on the new dates Now the company wants to change the dates and itinerary again The two new itinerary's that have been offered are percent different than the original trip Barcelona is no longer included I understand that you have to join trips together However, I have never heard of a company doing this after the trip was paid in full You can't tell me this company didn't know that this trip was changing months ago My family and I have gone on high school trips and groups were joined together long before the trip was paid for You also can't tell me these trips all cost the same price We were supposed to receive a $credit because the flight was leaving from the wrong city on the original trip That is now void because the original trip was changed after it was paid for My son saved for years to go on his high school trip Now he is devastated This has been a complete mess for my family I called customer service and the lady refused to let me talk to anyone about the trip Then I found out online there is a customer complaints department This trip needs moved back to our original dates we paid for

We paid $additional for an extra night, to combine groups because our group was not large enoughThis should have made the group the correct sizeIf they were still going to be short then they shouldn't have made us pay the $additional night feeWe were told by paying the $additional night fee it was going to allow our "small group" to combine with another "small group" to make the numbersSo basically we could have left our "small group" the way it was, paid only the $small group fee & not had to pay the $additional night fee!!!! I still feel we were scammed!!! We paid the $in thinking the groups were joiningSo really we lost the $100.00!!!!! I would have rather paid the $small group fee & not paid the extra night fee, because obviously paying for the extra night, to join groups together actually ended up costing me more money!!!!
Again, I (as well as numerous other parents) have contacted our school instructor regarding this issue & we hope she never does business with this company again. Also, if in the future we hear that she is planning a trip we will for one not allow our other children to go and secondly if she does use this company again, we will be telling all future parents that attend the pre-trip meeting about the company and how much in "hidden fees" it cost usPoint blank if we were going to be charged the "small group" fee either way, you shouldn't have MADE us pay for the additional night to combine groups!!!!

This is by far the worst company I have ever attempted to do business with in my entire life! Every time I call I get a different story from each person to whom I speakMy daughter did fundraising in school to help pay for her tripHer school did not mail the check for her fundraising until after the final payment was dueI called prior to making my final payment and was told the I "needed to make my final payment in full and that the school check would be immediately refunded TO ME once it was received by World Strides"One person today told me that the school authorized the release of the check and that they needed to transfer me to accounting in order to get that check sent to meThen when they were "transferring" me to accounting they hung up on meWhen I called back I was told that the school had still not authorized the release of the check to meNONE of the stories being told to me by customer service are the sameI am being sent in circles & chasing my tailIf they

When my son's school offered the trip I was very excited, yet a little reluctant with the priceBecause of the sales rep saying they would work out a payment plan (I was hoping for small monthly payments then a lump sum at tax time) I signed up and purchased the FULL REFUND PROGRAM for $ After seeing the EZ PAY installment plans I called Customer Service as the sales rep suggested to see about payment plansHe put me on the installment after I told him what my plan wasThe first time I logged into my account I noticed late fees, I was told over the phone to just call in every time to get them waived As for the $processing fees, looking at my account I was charged handling fees just randomly whether a payment was made or notI am not even mad about it but here is their own terms and conditions stating when it should be assessed
"Payment Plan: If you choose to follow the installment payment plan, WorldStrides -->charges a $non-refundable handling fee on each install
