After giving our insured ample time to cooperate, we denied coverage on January 7,

On November 23, the Complainant reported that she was involved in an accident on November 22, 2015. The handling adjuster contacted her on November 23, but she advised the adjuster that she was at work and would call back. On November the adjuster received a voice mail message
from the Complainant and returned her call and explained what was needed to complete her investigation. Upon completion of the investigation, the Complainant was contacted on December 10, and her claim was settled

This matter is still under investigation, and our Special Investigation Unit is assisting with the investigation. We appreciate the information the Complainant provided on her cousin, and we will contact the cousin if we feel there is a need

Please be advised that the complainant in this matter is not our consumer but rather a third party claimant pursing a claim for property damage against our insured's policy. Upon our notice of this loss, the handling adjuster immediately began an investigation into this matter. This loss
was reported to Founders Insurance Company by the complainant and a statement from our insured is necessary to proceed forward with this matter. Unfortunately, our initial attempts to contact our insured were unsuccessful. Our efforts to contact our insured continued and we were eventually able to make contact and secure a statement regarding the facts surrounding this loss. Additionally, coverage for this loss is currently under investigation as the date of loss needs to be verified due to a lapse in coverage. A copy of the police report has been ordered and upon receipt, the complainant will be contacted and advised accordingly. Founders Insurance Company does apologize for any inconvenience this claim process caused the complainant. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me

When the Complainant applied for insurance with us he was required to disclose all accidents, moving violations and suspensions within three years of his application. He disclosed two violations, but he did not disclose others. As a result a coverage issue has arisen, which is under
review. this issue could result in a rescission of the Complainant's policy. The Complainant will be informed of our decision on coverage for this occurrence when a decision has been made. If a decision is made to rescind the policy, all of the premiums paid by the Complainant will be reimbursed to him

The Complainant is a third party claimant who pursued a claim against our Insured's policy. On October 19, our Insured reported being in a loss with the Complainant, and claim forms were mailed to both parties. The Complainant called the handling adjuster on
October and left a voice mail message, and the adjuster returned his call. Unfortunately, the adjuster was only able to leave a message for a return callOn October the adjuster was able to speak to the Complainant and arranged for him to take his vehicle to a recommended shop for an estimate. Upon receipt and review of the estimate, the Complainant was contacted on November 8, and his claim was settled

Please be advised that the complainant in this matter is not our consumer. The complainant is a third party claimant pursuing a claim for property damage against our insured's policy. Upon our notice of this loss, the handling adjuster began an investigation into this
matter. This loss was reported to Founders Insurance Company on June 1, by the complainant. In order to proceed forward with our investigation, a statement regarding the facts surrounding this loss is needed from our insured. Unfortunately, our initial attempts to contact our insured were unsuccessful. Our attempts to contact our insured continue. A copy of the police report has also been ordered and once received it will be reviewed to determine if it contains enough information to aid in our investigation. Upon completion of our investigation, the complainant will be contacted and advised accordingly. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me

Please be advised that there has been no refusal of coverage for the claim. We previously have made a total loss settlement offer under UMPD to MrCopley. After presenting the offer he indicated he wished to think it over. We have no acceptance of the offer. If Mr
*** wishes to settle the claim he needs to provide the title unless he is keeping the vehicle salvage, then he needs to advise and provide a copy of the title. We await his response. He may contact the Total Loss Department to resolve

We are investigating a coverage, and to complete this investigation we need our Insured's cooperation. Unfortunately, he has failed to cooperate, so a letter was mailed to him on December 22, advising him that if he did not cooperate within business days we will deny
coverage. He has until this week to respond. When a decision has been made the Complainant will be notified

We were able to reach the insured and lien holder and have provided the documents that the lien holder was requesting. We have received a confirmation email from the lien holder and advised Ms***. We are please to advise that the matter is now resolved

We are prepared to resolve the Complainant's claim as soon as we receive estimates and photos on the damage to her vehicle. There are two recommended shops in her area where she can take her vehicle for an inspection, and these shops will forward the estimates and photos directly to us.
they are *** *** Clinic, *** S***, Markham, IL60425, and their phone number is *** ***. The other shop is *** *** *** *** ** ***h St., Markham, IL60428, and their phone number is (*** ***. The Complainant will be contacted by the handling adjuster to determine where she wants to take her vehicle for the inspection and to explain the claims process thereafter

Please be advised that I have reviewed my previous response and found an error in the date that payment was processed. Review of the file documentation shows that payment was processed on October 25, and subsequently forwarded to the lien holder. It was not processed on October 21, as indicated and I do apologize for that error. In regards to the complainant's request for a replacement vehicle, please be advised that the handling adjuster proceeded with settlement of this loss based upon the actual cash value of the vehicle as allowed by her policy. Part III of the policy, Coverage E - Collision, states in part, "...the company shall have the following options: (1) payment to the insured of the actual cash value of the vehicle minus the deductible stated in the policy declaration; or (2) Replacement of the vehicle with other of like kind and quality...". Payment reflecting the actual cash value of the vehicle was processed and forwarded to the complainant's lien holder. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions

I am rejecting this response because:

[redacted]that is not true I was contacted on April 28/29 and if the check was mail I should have received it by now.

After being notified of the loss the handling adjuster began her investigation to verify coverage, to determine liability, and to determine the damages.  The Complainant's vehicle was deemed a total loss, and her claim has been transferred to our Total Loss Department where the value of...

her vehicle will be determined.  A total loss adjuster will contact the Complainant to explain the process and to move her claim towards settlement.

Upon our notice of this loss, the handling adjuster immediately began an investigation into this matter. A coverage...

issue was identified as there was a lapse in coverage from June 23, 2015 until July 13, 2015 at 10:16 AM when the policy was reinstated. The complainant reported a single vehicle loss that occurred on July 14, 2015. As there was no police report filed, the complainants file was referred to our Special Investigation Unit for assistance in proving the reported date of loss. The complainant has provided a tow receipt however, when attempting to contact them to verify the information on the receipt, the phone number is not valid and according to the State of Illinois, the business has been dissolved. Our Special Investigation Unit will be visiting the address of the tow company in an attempt to verify the date of loss and bring this matter to a close. The complainant will be contacted once our investigation into coverage for this matter is complete and advised accordingly. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

There is a coverage issue, and we have not completed our investigation of this issue to make a coverage determination.  Upon completion of our investigation the Complainant will be notified of our disposition on this matter.
