I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, the business never informed me of this situation and, in my opinion, is only offering a refund due to this complaint being issued. I have yet to receive a return phone call from Slomin's in regards to this issue, and the multiple calls I placed to Slomin's inquiring about this have all gone unanswered. Although I believe the business has made this offer as a means of "back-peddling", I find this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter will be resolved once I receive my refund. So much time would have been saved had they just honored what they told me in the first place.

may have caused them. Slomin’s was in no way trying to take advantage of them. It is absolutely correct that the ***’s requested to have their account cancelled with Slomin’s in January 2016. At that time there were twenty one months remaining on their alarm monitoring agreement. Slomin’s offered to settle their obligation for a reduced fee of $425.00. With all alarm account cancellations, written notice is required for security reasons. Slomin’s does provide a form letter that can be completed to try and simplify the process for our customers(See attached cancellation form) On 2/**/2016, Slomin’s received an electronic payment for the $settlement however the necessary written cancellation notice was not received and the ***’s account was never officially cancelled. Because the ***’s paid the $settlement, it was applied to the billing of their account. Once the credit was utilized a bill was automatically generated (See ledger attached). Once again Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience we may have causedThere was no malicious intent and we would never hinder a customer from cancelling their services should that be what they decide to do. Slomin’s received the cancellation notice for the ***’s account on 3/**/and their account has been settled as was already agreed upon. Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience MrM***
feels we may have caused. Unfortunately MrM*** did not confirm our fixed price of $offered in September therefore no agreement was established. MrM*** commented to Slomin’s customer service supervisor Patti that he was under the impression that the agreement was verbal and the calls were recorded. Slomin’s does record phone calls randomly for quality assurance and training purposes. However no contracts can be made verbally. Legally only written or electronic agreements can be accepted. Slomin’s has no reason to withhold an offer made to a customer. All offers made to our customers are based upon oil prices available at that time. Is meant to benefit our customers to receive a guaranteed oil price for a maximum period of one year and also guarantees us a customer for that period as well. Slomin’s understands the lives of our customers can be hectic, but it has been five months since the oil offer was made and oil prices have changed dramatically since then. MrsM*** called our office on 12/**/to update the credit card information on her account but there was no discussion about the oil price. Slomin's has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention. However, Slomin's does not believe it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office intervention. On 2/**/2017, Slomin’s supervisor Patti offered MrM*** a fixed rate of $per gallon which he declined and his account was cancelled as he requested. Slomin’s is unable to adjust the deliveries made on 11/**/2016, 12/**/and 1/**/to $2.119. As s consumer courtesy Slomin’s will adjust the delivery made on 1/**/to our current fixed rate available of $making the new total $345.57. states that my cameras are generating clips & to read their response, all seems fine & dandyWRONG!!I have been in contact today with Eric S*** from their executive officesI am dilugently trying to work this out but it seems to me that Slomin's is trying to run a scam on meI pointed out to him that the last recorded clip from my front driveway camera today is at 9:am this morningIt is now almost 5:pm & my husband & I & our son have had our cars up & down the driveway at all different times today & yet no clip was ever recorded. His position is that he has no explanation why that is but we need to but their new cameras because we have a five-year contract with themOur position is that we have a five-year contract for cameras that work properly! They are supposed to record a ten-second clip when they detect movementThen it resets for sixty secondsThis does not happenThey record extremely haphazardly at their willI am stuck in a five-year contract with cameras that do not work properly & all I am being told is that I have to give them money & upgrade my camerasI have been treated so offensively rotten that I will not give Slomin's a penny for new cameras. They have breaches their contract making it null & voidI want their useless cameras taken off my property & end our 25+ yr relationship. I have done my due diligence & spent way too much time trying to reason with unreasonable people

As *** *** states in his complaint, he has been a customer with Slomin’s for many years and always maintained an exemplary account During the heating season, Slomin’s always makes customers with no heat in their home a priority. When a customer contacts our office in need of a service appointment, Slomin’s customer service representatives must ask standard trouble shooting questions over the phone to determine if same day emergency service is requiredDuring evening and weekend hours, we are on strict emergency service scheduling which mainly include services for no heat and un-containable water or oil leaks On Sunday, 12/**/*** *** contacted our office to report that he was getting to much heat on just the first floor of his home. Slomin’s representative Eileen offered *** *** an appointment for 12/**/which he refused because he wanted same day service. Although *** *** was experiencing an issue we absolutely agree should be checked, it is not considered an emergency because the heat can still be controlled by turning the heat off and back on when needed Slomin’s has always cooperated with The Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attentionHowever, Slomin’s does not believe that it has conducted itself in any manner that would warrant intervention. As mentioned above, *** *** has been an excellent customer with Slomin’s and we have never refused to service his heating system when needed. With the exception of routine maintenance appointments that *** *** scheduled, his services were always deemed an emergency and performed same day. with Slomin’s since 1996. Since the original installation in 1996, Slomin’s has visited the *** home sixteen times. Out of the sixteen visits, nine of them were for reported service problems, two were inspections for repairs after there was construction in the home, four of the visits were work orders requested by customer to arm or rearm items in the home; some due to renovations, and a free alarm upgrade signed by *** *** *** in Considering the nineteen year relationship this home has had with Slomin’s over the years, Slomin’s does not consider this to be excessive. The last reported service issue was on 8/**/and an appointment was scheduled for 8/**/2015. Upon our technicians arrival to the home service was refused and a request was made to cancel the monitoring services altogether. On 8/**/2015, Mrs*** spoke with Slomin’s customer retention manager Scott who attempted to try and resolve the issue to possibly retain their services. *** *** refused all and insisted on cancellation. Slomin’s has always cooperated with the Revdex.com in resolving matters that come to your attention and we are open to your suggestion in this matter. However, Slomin’s does not believe it have conducted itself in any manner that would warrant your office’s intervention. Providing reliable and low cost home security has been a Slomin's hallmark since Slomin's takes its responsibilities to its customers very seriously and endeavors to achieve superior customer relations. Unfortunately *** ***’s home ran out of oil because her deliveries were held due to a past due balanceIf service to the heating system is needed as a result of running out of oil because the deliveries have been held, there is a service charge of $to prime the heating unit. Our technician’s will usually drop about ten gallons to restart the unit and keep it running until we are able to get a full delivery to a customer’s home. Slomin’s visited *** ***’s home on Saturday 1/**/2017, our technician primed the unit and dropped twenty five gallons with the intentions that the additional gallons would suffice until a full delivery could be made the approaching week. Regrettably *** *** home ran out of oil again prior to delivery being made on 1/**/2017. Slomin’s sent another technician to the home to prime the unit and drop another twenty gallons. *** *** was only charged for the oil dropped and not for the service rendered. Slomin’s made a full delivery to *** ***’s home on 1/**/ Slomin’s has always cooperated with Suffolk County Consumer Affairs in resolving matters that come to your attentionSlomin's takes its responsibilities to its customers very seriously and endeavors to achieve superior customer relations. We are a full service automatic heating oil delivery supplier and delivering oil is our main objective especially during the heating season. Slomin’s has acknowledged that the twenty five gallons dropped to *** ***’s home on 1/**/did not hold them as we expected it to and we do apologize for that.
