I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[Slomins should not have suggested I clean the lens - they should haver sent a technician as I asked. their response was let's clean the lens and see what happens - What happened was another alarm . Then I requested the police not be notified if that saem zone goes off - They only honored that for a few hours. The next moring the same zone goes off and they contact the police.These alarms to the police were generated by the poor business practice (suggesting to clean the lens ) - then knowing the zone was a problem they continue to put a call to police. Even when I called and said don't call the police for that zone they only complied for a short time. What did they think the alarm fixed it self!

feel we may have caused. Slomin’s does acknowledge that after the inspection performed at her home on 7/**/there was a delay in retrieving the results due to the holiday. On 7/**/Slomin’s retention specialist Stephen did speak with *** *** regarding the inspection performed and quoted the cost for her alarm system to be replaced. Stephen also emailed *** *** the quote. (See attached) The written itemized cost totaled $1690.00. As a consumer courtesy Stephen offered to lower the quoted amount to $1500.00. On 7/**/*** *** also spoke with Slomin’s customer service supervisor Brendan because she was unhappy. Brendan offered to review her account further to determine the best possible offer for the amount of work *** ***’s needed and her twenty eight month monitoring obligation that remainedThe final offer that Slomin’s was able to extend to *** *** was to pay off her current monitoring obligation for $and perform the necessary security system replacement at no cost with a new five year monitoring commitment. Brendan has attempted to contact *** *** by phone since 7/**/to date but to no avail. Once again Slomin’s does apologize for any inconvenience *** *** feels we may have caused. Unfortunately we are unable to eliminate the remainder of her monitoring obligation of twenty eight months. As mentioned above, Slomin’s has not been able to reach *** *** to make her aware of the offer we are able to extend to replace her alarm system. We would still like the opportunity to do so. department notified all residents of the county their newly implemented program requirement to register all homes with security systems prior to the June *, start date of this program. Attached to this response is Suffolk County Alarm Permit Instructions for its residents. The notice informs all owners of a security system in Suffolk County, whether it is being monitored by a security company or not, to register for a permit. If the police are called by a neighbor or a passing citizen in response to hearing an alarm going off and it is deemed false, the owner will still be charged for not having a permit. The fine that *** *** refers to in his complaint was from an 8/**/police notification. *** *** was charged for a 1st alarm response due to not having a permitHad *** *** filed for the necessary permit implemented by Suffolk County as they instructed, there would not have been a charge for a 1st alarm response. That amount was the remaining past due balance prior to her account being cancelled for non-payment 1/**/(See ledger attached) When the account was submitted to our collections office to be reinstated, it was rejected due to the $payment made on 1/**/being returned for insufficient funds and a $fee was assessed to the account

Again Slomin's is not fulfilling the service I have purchased two years agoWe purchased their IVR feature that records all footage and stores it in a tower that is connected to my computer that they installed. It gives me opportunity to go back to any precise moment and see my recordings. They instead have offered me their second clip service which is not the same service I agreed to. Therefore I demand they waive my cancellation fee and allow me to go to another vendor that can provide me with what I originally purchased.To further simplify I have purchased product A and they are offering product B without the freedom of canceling. Unethical. Did I forget to mention that I have been a loyal customer for years!!!! This is ridiculous!!
