I was divorced in and entitled to half of ex-spouses retirement w' VanguardThey did nothing but jerk me around for monthsI ended up sending certified letter to the President and letters to everyone else on the board detailing my unhappy experience with their QDRO department before I finally got a a letter from them, and I received my settlementMost rolled over but as I was now single I also asked to receive a distribution to make an emergency fundThey did so, but messed that up so badly that I ended up paying almost $in taxes this yearHalf of my salary and a huge dent in my emergency fundThanks for nothing, Vanguard

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the Revdex.com in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have contacted Vanguard requesting that form be sent to the IRS with the corrected information for the year The only matter in dispute at this point with Vanguard is the date on the form to the IRSThis form should correctly state and not I am including my redacted IRS for showing me legally taking this as an IRA contributionI have enclosed a copy of this with this letter as Exhibit A Vanguard has acknowledged that a mistake was made and the amount paid April 15, 2014, was a direct contribution not a rollover as Vanguard's records currently showVanguard has indicated that if earlier this year I had requested the form by a certain date, they would have put the correct date of on the formThe IRS allows IRA contributions for the prior year up until April of the following year and is clearly documented in Exhibit A as my intention to do soThe IRS sent a letter informing me after Vanguard's internal date and Vanguard is no longer willing to rectify the error with the proper date of but insisted the I should accept the wrong date of as the tax yearI am unwilling to accept this erroneous solution to an error that clearly compounds itself when Vanguard has already acknowledged a mistake was madeDue to my age, I do not qualify to make a contribution in to IRA account and it has never been my intention to do soI cannot compound this mistake further with the date Vanguard is insisting on I deny that the mistake was made in my filling out the contribution request but was computer error on Vanguard's part I am further convinced the error is theirs as I am unable recreate the translation in order to make this "mistake"Also, not only I am not able to recreate the transaction, an [redacted] -ETF- Vanguard rollover, all computer systems have treated all inquiries , phone or otherwise, as if my account is still a 401(k) planThis is clearly an internal Vanguard computer error that are Vanguards is unwilling to acknowledge or remedy The amount was to be applied to the taxes which were made on that dateThe IRS states they did not receive the Vanguard formVanguard has indicated it is willing to release a corrected form fixing the roll over error but will not list the correct date of I did not make this claim in and at which time I wasn't even eligible to make a contribution due to my ageEverything filed in is correct regarding my tax informationThe Vanguard paperwork needs to be corrected and sent to the IRS Regards, [redacted]
