Mr*** enrolled with us on 3/31/He came to us with a debt of approximately $76k, paying $per monthBased on the Adjust Gross Income of $76,he gave us, he was quoted $per monthWe submitted his application on 4/8/to the Dept of Education, and when retrieving the Income
Verification from the IRS Database, it turned out the AGI was actually $119,The application was denied the payment originally quotedMr*** informed us that his AGI had changed and had lowered to $85kWe submitted another application, and requested a temporary Forbearance to get him current from the payments he was behind - due to the back and forth regarding the Income DiscrepancyThe new repayment application was approved by his loan servicer, Fed Loan Servicing, and he is currently in an Income Driven Repayment Program of $per month, AND we also helped him enroll for the Public Service Loan ForgivenessMr*** mentions in his complaint, that it was "our job" to fill out his PSLF form - which couldn't be further from the truthWe have NO authority to fill out a form that is supposed to be filled out by his employer - confirming his position and how many hours he worksThat form must be filled out and signed/certified by his employerWe performed an extensive amount of work for Mr*** and he completely stopped paying us in April To this day, he has never called us regarding his loans, he has never expressed a wish to cancel, or dissatisfactionSo to our surprise, we received this negative complaintNot only did we help lower his payments from $down to $(lower payment than originally quoted), but we also helped him enter the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program (PSLF)We are happy with the work we completed for Mr***, it's too bad he doesn't feel the sameWe have been working for free for over one year without any response or payments from Mr***.

We are sorry Ms*** feels misled in any wayTo clear things up, 1file.org does NOT make any outgoing sales callsWe are a document preparation company and are hired by retail companies to complete Direct Consolidation and/or Income Driven Repayment plan applications for individuals with
student loans they have enrolled. In this particular case, we did review the recording for the initial call made by the retail company's sales agent, and also the quality control call recording made prior to enrollment - and everything was in orderThere was never a time that the agent misrepresented themselves during the conversationMs*** maybe assumed the call was from her loan servicer, Great LakesMs*** also signed a service agreement, were it clearly states that this is a service that is available free of charge for them if they choose to complete the process on their own. Actually my loans went into default because 1file.org did not get a hold of meThe representative I talked to said I was emailed ONCE, not "repeatedly." When I asked her how many times did you try to contact me she said "once in February."I was charged every month as if they were doing their job and I got a call from the loan servicer stating I was in defaultIt passed the day late mark which is why they calledMy credit went down points because of itSo making payments to the company that "manages" my account caused me to go into defaultWhat was being managed exactly? Absolutely nothingMaybe you should have tried calling meOr emailing a SECOND time? That is terrible practiceThey are absolutely at fault for charging me without contacting me a SECOND attempt and not getting things straightened outThe money is nothing compared to the affect on my creditI will not conclude this as closed until my credit score is resolved and appropriately fixedI am in awe that the responder blatantly lied and stated that I stated I was contacted multiple times by phone and email, because that is not the caseI only found out about being in default because of a letter from fed student loan servicing, not by my so called manager.They managed nothingThey STOLE my money and cause a SIGNIFICANT drop in my creditIt is fraudulent to let them take money and not do a thingI am disgusted at how they allow kids to have their credit ruined and not try to fix the problem

have done herself...at the time of her call to us she had not(eligible since Sept 2012)We helped her successfully take advantage of the
programs which we made her awareWe delivered approvals and enrollment in to Public service Loan Forgiveness and Income based repayment
under the William D Ford Act resulting in her loans being forgiven after
payments of $ , she called us and was explained all of her options and
decided to enter in to a signed agreement with us for our servicesWe
delivered for the client as agreed.

Much like the IRS will not know who your accountant is ,*** *** *** will not know who's preparing your documentation The question you should've asked *** *** *** is why they didn't tell you you've been eligible for a lower payment for years .97% of the people that have loans do not understand them at all or the relationship between the issuer or the servicer or a third-party. Let alone the different types of loans and the benefits they each have

This company keeps saying email"s" and callsThere were no calls and ONE emailThat is terrible management of a loanIf I would have received this thing called a follemail or ONE phone call maybe I could have done somethingI am assuming I thought the ONE email was an unknown bill collectorIf I received a SECOND email I would have realized that action was neededONE email??? You are putting your company's reputation on ONE email?To reiterate I was never called, I received one email, and I was billed regularly for to months after they stopped paying the loans.I went into default because I was not informed of what I needed to do nextThe ONE email obviously didn't show me action was needed or my credit was going to take a massive hit because this terrible loan management company wasn't going to attempt to contact me again.As I stated in my initial complaint it is fraudulent to allow a company to charge for managing a loan and allowing the client's loan to default instead of doing everything possible to contact the clientOne email is a ridiculous ground to stand onI cannot believe that you are not willing to admit how wrong your company isThe damage to my credit is going to take years to fixThanks to 1file.org's management team I was declined for a small business credit card due to my student loans (the loans they were managing) going into default.I cannot stress how disgusted I am with you.

They did not put me on the income based repayment plan I was on that previously through the board of educationWhen this company so called put me on it, it actually canceled my income based plan of $and the department of education came after me for more paymentsThis company has different numbersThe number I was given is not real and the other I was given when I ask to speak to a supervisor hangs up on meI don't care what the black and white paperwork shows they made me sign it while I was speaking to them on the phone without reading everything and said they would send me paperwork which they didn'tThey're liars and do nothing but give the run aroundI filed a complaint with my bank already

Several months ago I contacted the federal student loan company and requested a information on loan forgivenessThe next day I receive a call from a company called 1file.orgThey had all my personal information pertaining to this loanI was told it was just a third party company that handled all loan forgiveness programs for the federal government and they source out the loans, because they are overwhelmed with school loansAll things discussed seemed legitI made my first payment of $and paid the $monthly processing fee until my loan had been approvedIn the mean time I get a call from my loan servicer through the federal government stating that my loan was in default and that they had not received nor been contacted by any loan forgiveness companyI submitted all paperwork to federal student loan agency and they told me that I needed to contact the company, request a refund and find out what was going onI filled out the appropriate paperwork with my loan servicer and the loan forgiveness plan and reduced payment was processed for me and I was able to make the monthly payment and proceed to bring my account back current
As for ifile.org I have attempted to contact them every day since I was contacted by the federal student loan servicer that I pay my loans to and I only get a voicemailI am not sure what I am supposed to do with thisI just want my money back or it to be applied to my student loan and I want out of this contractI do not feel comfortable doing business with a company that I can't get a hold of or that has not paid any money towards my balanceIf this helps anyone, please contact the federal government and do settle for anything lessIts not worth it

This complaint to the Revdex.com comes after the client filed a chargeback with her credit card company and the money was returned to her at which point our bank went to arbitration with her bank and with our paperwork proved beyond doubt that we had completed the services she paid for, all the disclosures were made and agreed, a verification recording was supplied proving the client was well aware of our relationship, fee,s and loan payment amounts, so for the client to make accusations that she was told something different, is not evident anywhere and is a reach after we already proved our case to her bank and our merchant bank and reversed her chargeback

Person is not in our database and the number she listed is not ours and we have no employee by that name

Once again, 1File.org failed to address the central issue - deceptive marketing, advertising, and sign up practicesI agree that lending institutions such as Great Lakes are far from stellar regarding their business practices as evidenced by the current investigations; however, the 1File.com response mentioned to "search GREAT LAKES on the internet and find the same complaints." My response is that one could also search the Internet (to include the Revdex.com website) and find complaints and dissatisfied customers about 1File.orgOne of the biggest contentions is that the individuals who spoke with me over the phone assured me that the loan was being taken over from Great Lakes and that the $monthly payments for years would go toward the loan which turns out to be falseAdditionally, 1File.org had all of my personal, banking, and student loan record information when they contacted me and giving the impression of being with the Department of Education to include DOE based e-mails (see previous responses)I am still not satisfied with their responses and would like a refund of $

Problem: I was contacted by one of their representatives that was trying to offer me lower payments on my student loansHowever, the person lied about the whole thingAfter paying the process fee, which I thought goes towards the student loansThey never mentioned that there was a monthly maintenance fee of $I had asked the representative twice just to be sure that I'll be saving moneyApparently that was a lieBasically I went from paying $a month to $a month with the new lender plus the $processing fee, $maintenance feeHow is this even consider as Student Loan Forgiveness? Long story short, I was lied to and misinformed thinking 1file.org was my new lender.Desired Outcome: I want them to cancel my contract for misinforming me about saving money on student loansIf they do record the conversation that I had with the repThey should know there was proofI called and ask for an audio recording or some sortBut they were giving me a hard time

Reason why I dont accept the response of that business is because they were not clear at all in telling me they were a third party.If they would of explained better to me (that those dollars a month after paying a fee were not going towards my loans)..I would of never proceeded buisness with themAlso, I dont see why I can not get my refund if I never finished paying the fee for them to submit my paper workAren't they suppose to get the entire whole money fee before proceeding with buisness? As a customer, not only was I misinformed and they told me that the money I was paying was going towards my student loansBut in addition, I can not get my money back? So all I want is my dollars backI reject the response of this buisness, because as a buisness of course they would try to say anything to not pay upAll I am asking for is my refund..and never do business with them again..Thank you!
