I was contacted on a cold callI listened to what they were offering and decided to try itI've been with 1File almost two years now, and so far I am completely satisfied with their serviceThey have done what they promised, got me out from under a crippling student loan debt (not all of my making, what with interest and penalties), at a fraction of what I would have to pay each month otherwiseI have not received any indication that this is not legit (third party correspondence)I would highly recommend their servicesThe only reason I don't give them stars is that at the end of the first year I had resubmit some personal qualifying information which I didn't expect, nor told about at the beginning, but once that hurdle was crossed, everything is back on track

This doesn't resolve my complaintThat company lied to me when they signed me up for loan repaymentThey never told me I had to pay them for their services up frontThey told me I would pay my loans back through them which was and that they could erase $40,which was also a lieAlso, I was never told about the $monthly feeThey rushed me to electronically sign paper work and send it back to them while I was on the phoneTherefore I was unable to thoroughly read all the documentationIf I was aware they were just a middle man company and trying to rip me off I would not have signed the paperwork*** *** told me I don't need to deal with one file org to repay my student loans and that they scammed me!

The sales person that called me had all of my personal student loan information and told me that they would consolidate my loans and I also qualified to have 60% of my loans forgiven I was lead to believe that the monthly payment they were taking out of my account was being applied to the remaining 40% of my loans and I could pay more monthly if I chose to A few months after paying the $a month for months to get them consolidated and a couple of the smaller payments had been taken from my account, I noticed that my loans were increasing instead of decreasing When I called to find out why, the processing person told me the monthly payment was for them to monitor my loans What needs monitoring? You only file deferment once a year plus what happened to money being applied to my loan? After much thought I canceled my account with them yesterday and was disappointed with how they didn't care one way or the other if I stayed with their company They got my money and that's all that matters to them I feel like I was lied to and my credit rating dropped almost points because of 1file.org!

Yes everybody can do this on their own we advise people they can do this on their own however at the time we talk to this client she had not done it and she had been eligible for years we enrolled this client as agreed with full disclosure and finally completed the program she
requestedAfter completion, only then her servicer advised she could do it on her own and told her about the program.where were they when she was eligible years ago.we saved this client money bottom line we did the work contracted as she requested and we delivered as promised

Once again, 1File.org failed to address the central issue - deceptive marketing, advertising, and sign up practicesI agree that lending institutions such as Great Lakes are far from stellar regarding their business practices as evidenced by the current investigations; however, the 1File.com response mentioned to "search GREAT LAKES on the internet and find the same complaints." My response is that one could also search the Internet (to include the Revdex.com website) and find complaints and dissatisfied customers about 1File.orgOne of the biggest contentions is that the individuals who spoke with me over the phone assured me that the loan was being taken over from Great Lakes and that the $monthly payments for years would go toward the loan which turns out to be falseAdditionally, 1File.org had all of my personal, banking, and student loan record information when they contacted me and giving the impression of being with the Department of Education to include DOE based e-mails (see previous responses)I am still not satisfied with their responses and would like a refund of $

How is it fraudulent, when the client admits we've been trying to get a hold of him repeatedly and he admits he did not respond? Client has been receiving our emails phone calls yet would not respond and then he wonders why his account did not get taken care of correctly The only
thing that didn't get taken care of is he wasn't recertified for the following year which keeps his payments high ,no damage happened to his credit

I called file in regards to their student loan forgiveness, when the program was explained to me, the sales representative made it sound like the program was only available through fileI signed up through one file, as they were going to have my student loans forgiven I ended up finding out that my loans were consolidated through ***, and that the whole process could have been completed by myselffile charged me $for the consolidation of my student loansWhen I called them to discuss this issue, on me being taken advantage of and not informed that I could have completed this on my own and saved $they took me out of their programI requested a full/partial reimbursement of my $that I paid them, as I would have never requested their service, if I knew at the beginning that I could have done it myself

I contacted 1file to end my services with them because I felt that they were scammers I contacted them May and I was advised that I would hear something within 3-daysI tried to contact them today (May 12) and got the run aroundI was told I couldn't talk to anybody higher upI just want my $returned because I did not use their service

1file called my phone for months straight at all hours of the day and nightFinally I answered it and got the run around for hours with guy that said he was from "the US department of education." He made me sign into my government account through *** and said it was going to lower my payments to $a month and help me pay off my loanI have made payments of $(April/May/June) for a processing fee of $They told me to stop all contact with my loan agencies and that they would send them payment in full and I would make payments after through their agencyMeanwhile, the US department of education has been calling me saying I owe $this month which I am currently on the income based repayment plan of $I told them my payments are supposed to be $after my last payment of $The US department of education told me they have no knowledge of me making any payments on my loan and that 1file is not through the department of education and that I needed

This company liedOver and over again I asked them if the money was being applied toward my student loansOver and over again their representatives said that it wasI would pay $a month for months and the rest would be forgiveI just got my papers for fed services and my loan repayment is still at $and that’s when I asked them about this company and they said told me they liedThat’s there monthly feeThis companies allows their representatives to lie to get people to sign and then refuse to refund me my money due to the contact that their representatives said was incorrect but I needed to sign to lock in and they would send me the correct one to resign and they disappearSo far I am out $I would like a refund and this company to be punished for allowing their representatives to lie

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowActually my loans went into default because 1file.org did not get a hold of meThe representative I talked to said I was emailed ONCE, not "repeatedly." When I asked her how many times did you try to contact me she said "once in February."
I was charged every month as if they were doing their job and I got a call from the loan servicer stating I was in defaultIt passed the day late mark which is why they calledMy credit went down points because of itSo making payments to the company that "manages" my account caused me to go into defaultWhat was being managed exactly? Absolutely nothingMaybe you should have tried calling meOr emailing a SECOND time? That is terrible practiceThey are absolutely at fault for charging me without contacting me a SECOND attempt and not getting things straightened outThe money is nothing compared to the affect on my creditI will not conclude this as closed until my credit score is resolved and appropriately fixedI am in awe that the responder blatantly lied and stated that I stated I was contacted multiple times by phone and email, because that is not the caseI only found out about being in default because of a letter from fed student loan servicing, not by my so called managerThey managed nothingThey STOLE my money and cause a SIGNIFICANT drop in my creditIt is fraudulent to let them take money and not do a thingI am disgusted at how they allow kids to have their credit ruined and not try to fix the problem

Client charges we hurt his credit by points, and claims we caused him to defaultHe receives notice from us as well as his loan holder at the same email address since enrollmentClient was enrolled in February Approval for a successful consolidation and Income Based Repayment was completed days later on March 30th Client received a zero-dollar payment with eventual loan forgiveness, just as we promisedClient failed to respond to our calls and emails contacting him for his annual recertification on 02/12/which is only needed when circumstances change, which did in this case Email opened receipts included) So we know the emails where opened and he failed to respondBelow is a copy of the notes from the first contact with client after he became PAST DUE Not DEFAULT as he claims) : General 08/2016*** *** Client called in, requesting cancellation Client was due for a recertification Sent email informing client of recertification, requesting for updated FSA information, which client opened the same day on 02/12/2016 Client's *** account is linked to the same current address, phone number and email address on file***'s electronic mail of the recert/past due payments gets delivered to ***@gmail.com Client never made the effort to contact 1file.org or *** to provide the updated information needed to complete the recertification applicationNotified: ***, *** Client charges we hurt his credit by points, and claims we caused him to defaultHe receives notice from us as well as his loan holder at the same email address since enrollment

This company may be legit to some but to me its a sham since the word scam seems to hurt their feelingsI'm am SUPER uncomfortable with the call I just ended with their companyso much so that I immediately got on *** and inquired about this companyThey knew nothing about them or why on earth they would need so much of my personal informationMy heart dropped and I did further research! coming across all the complaints and the dissatisfaction with the clientsI want NOTHING to do with this company and I want my contract to be null and void or I will move forward with my family lawyer and take action through my bankI told them NOT to charge my account on June 1st ( my first "payment" for their services) and im expecting them not to and to also terminate my contract as soon as possibleThe representative never told me his name or what company he worked for the many times I asked him! (not that I would even understand what he was saying) since you all are listening to t

The person I signed up with over at this company called 1File told me that my payments to them were going to my student loansOnly after my payments were made did I realized they were going to the company the whole time, and so are the $monthly fees which they also said went to them

I have been receiving many call from this company, most of which I ignore but I finally answered todayThe man on the phone was trying desperately to get me to agree that yes, I would like my loans forgiven and that his company could make it happenBeware, the services this company provides are legitimate, BUT YOU DON'T NEED THEMYou can refinance and consolidate your loans with the Dept of Education on your ownThey are NOT with the Deptof Education, but rather act as a proxy for you and then charge for that serviceI recommend looking into loan consolidation and refinancing on your own, NOT using this companyMy sister used Sofi for refinancing and received nothing but the utmost professionalismIf you're within so many miles of a branch, First Republic Bank is also a great company to go throughOtherwise, just consolidate through the Dept of Education yourself, no need to use this shady, parasitic company

21,in Federal Student Debt with *** the client was paying $in a standard programAfter we completed consolidation and IBR application, Client is consolidated and in an Income
based repayment of $0, The payment he is looking at from *** paperwork sent in the mail is what the payment would be without the help of us putting him in an Income Based Repayment, It is common for client to misunderstand the paperwork sent in the mail from the servicer

In an attempt to improve my credit score, I agreed to sign up with 1file.org to take care of my student loan back in March The agreement was that after I paid their processing fee of $in months increments, a monthly payment will be set with the DOE This would come out of the same credit they have on file The $have been paid as agreed, but I never heard from 1file.org I know that the agreement was approved by the DOE, so I thought payments had starded in June I realized that this was not happening, so I called 1file I believe it was in August, and left a message Someone called me back a day later and left a message with the amount of payment that I was supposed to be making However, I thought that they have scheduled those payments already Apparently, there were no payments made and that I'm now days overdue My credit score went from to because of this I need 1file.org yo straighten this out Seems like after they received the $from me ever
