I purchased a vacation and was not able to board the plane No other options were offered but for me to lose my money

Customer service with this company is horrible They just don't care
I booked a trip with this company and they booked us on a flight with Dynamic Airways Little did we know this airline is very unreliable We missed a whole day of our vacation sitting in the airport because the airline without warning delayed our flight hours so the flight crew could rest When we called to complain to Vacation Express they told us pretty much too bad and by the way you need to pay us another dollars for airport transfers because you missed the first ones! So they put us on this flight and then charged more money because the airline they gave us delayed the flight again with no warning! We pre-booked and pre-paid for two excursions for this trip, a sailing cruise and a horse-back riding tripWe were informed that we would be able to select dates and times for these excursions upon arrival by speaking to a VE representative on site
First, our flight to Punta Cana was delayed hoursWe boarded the plane and had to wait for them to send a flight attendant because apparently they didn't have enough on the planeWe didn't get to our hotel until midnight which meant we missed an entire day of our vacation
Since we missed the first day of our vacation, we had to meet with the VE representative the next morning at AM to get our days and times for excursionsFirst we had to sit through a sales presentation for excursions even though we already had ours picked out and paid

After filing a complaint, the Post Travel promise is within daysIt is now days and still no response

Vacation Express is the worst!!! My cousin booked a vacation to Punta Cana, DR We booked the trip for the week of 7/25/to return the following Sunday The information on the bottom of the itinerary states to be at the airport hours before an international flight We made to DFW airport at 8:am, the flight was to board at 10:am, by the time we actually found the correct counter (after being directed to several different counters by airline employees who had never even heard of SunWing airlines) around 8:amThe shuttle had come and picked up the passengers and boarded the flightThere were about of us who were left behind We called Vacation Express to tell them happened and were told, "sorry, you needed to be there at least hours before the flight." We pointed out to them the itinerary states hoursThe customer service reps kept trying to make the whole issue the customer's fault We waited at the counter from about 8:am to 11:am and get this, the plane was still sitting on the runway, it didn't take off until 11:am!!! We were told we had to take a separate flight and pay out of pocket, an additional per person to keep from losing the we had already paid as they us there would be no refunds We finally make it to DR at 10:pm local time as as opposed to 3:pm local time as originally planned Vacation Express was nice enough to call the resort to let them know not to give away our room We get there and guess what? They gave away our room!!!! We specifically asked for double beds and gave us a room with King sized bed, we showed them the paperwork which stated we were to have beds, the resort claimed to have never received a call and this was the only room available We had the worst vacation!! The bed was hard as a rock and guest services always promised they would try and accommodate us but they never did, the excursions were the only descent part of the trip It's annoying as hell to spend over for a vacation and not have a good time On the way home we had a hour delay in Punta Cana because Sunwing airlines did not show; for hours!!! Then there was a hour layover in Miami because we had stop and get fuel and the fuel truck was late We were stuck in an airplane on the airstrip with no food, just water, soft drinks and freaking goldfish crackers for hours!!! If I have to pay a few hundred dollars more with a different agency I will The great prices Vacation Express offers may seem good, but it's not worth it I'd rather spend a bit more to have a great vacation than feel like it was a waste by trying to save a couple of extra dollars

The first issue was the room advertised had a king size bed, The room they gave us had two twin beds, there was a problem with the water pressure in the shower, there was mold and mildew in the shower, on the shower head and calcium build up on the water faucetThe closet door fell off the hinge and struck my wifeThe hinges on this door seem to be made for kitchen cabinet and not for an pound doorthis could have been more serious if it had not been for the wall space in the narrow breezeway catching it before it hit the floor

This was by far the worst travel experience I have ever experienced Our flight was supposed to leave DFW to Punta Cana on June 25th at 10:00AMSomeone came over the intercom at 9:15AM to let us know our flight was delayed hours and then no one ever came back to update us until it was time to board, which did not occur until 12:30PMThe flight did not leave until after 1:00PM, meaning we were delayed hours On the flight we paid an extra $to get two drinks and a snack and extra leg room We were served one drink(everyone was) and given a bag of pretzels or goldfish and were sat in the same seats as the general seating After asking why we didn't get the correct things we paid for, we were told we had to tell the front desk at the airport that we had upgraded seats, which no one ever told us we needed to doWhen we got to the airport in Punta Cana, we were told we did not have reservations for transportation to the airport (this is supposed to be all included in the package) and had to be "squeezed in" to the bus going to our hotelWe lost an entire day of our vacation due to thisComing home was also a nightmareWe had confirmed we had transportation back to the airport days in advance, but yet when it came time to check out, we were told we had no reservations and also had to be "squeezed on" to the bus back Getting on to the plane, we were seated as the first rows due to our "upgrade" with absolutely no leg room(my father's legs were squished into the seat in front of him) so I don't even know why this is an amenity that is offered The rest of the flight was boarded as "open seating" because the seating chart was apparently messed up so it took an extra minutes to board because of thisWe were also served one drink again and no snacks at all This entire experience was extremely disappointing, especially when you pay for and are expecting something for months in advance and it ruins the quality of an expensive vacation

DO NOT use Vacation Express! I booked a trip to Punta Cana to go to a wedding through Vacation ExpressTwo days after booking the trip and Vacation Express giving me a reservation number and charging my credit card, I received an email stating there are no rooms available at the resort and my $deposit was none refundable because it had been more than hoursThey asked if I would like to make a reservation at a different resort, but I explained that I was going to the resort for a wedding with a group of people that all used vacations express to book their tripsI was told there was nothing they could do for meAfter speaking with a supervisor they did agree to refund my deposit, but I will believe it when I see it

We booked three rooms thru Vacation Express at Princess Resort in Punta Cana DROur vacation was overshadowed by countless issues w/ the hotel (i.etermite infested room, fumigation, bathroom flooded, A/C not workingto name just a few issues) and our children who shared a room w/ their cousins having to move their room times, we returned very disappointed after having paid over $9,When we turned to Vacation Express with our complaint, we went thru close to weeks of back and forth by email, ultimately were offered a RIDICULOUS refund of x $and x $as what we were told was all the hotel was willing to doInstead of attempting to negotiate a reasonable solution that would serve both, Vacation Express as well as us, we pretty much were told "it's not our hotel" and "you agreed to everything in our Terms and Conditions when making your reservations" = equating to truly the response of "we do not care"Needless to say that was our first and last business with Vacation Express and we can only recommend to all other travelers to stay away from a business that only cares about banking their money instead of providing a relevant customer experience or even create repeat businessDO NOT BOOK with Vacation Express unless you don't care about possible folland/or a good experience
