Vacation Express misrepresented and over sold a vacation package at Memories Splash in Punta Cana, putting my family in a hostile and dangerous situation
Let me first start by saying that this was our third trip with Vacation Express We enjoyed our first 2, and recommended this company to countless others Unfortunately, now I am finding out that if something goes wrong, this company will do little to help you

In September I booked a *** with Vacation Express for Air and inclusive resort for JamaicaA week before my Fiance (got engaged and booked this trip) and I were supposed to fly to Jamaica, Hurricane Matthews start to head towards JamaicaI started calling Vacation Express and was informed by a robot of a person that nothing could be done because I didn't purchase insuranceI nicely agreed that I didn't get insurance yet I didn't want a refund, just a credit to use during a future dateI spoke to over people over a week! NO ONE would have any compassion to just issue a credit, not a REFUND, for a future date so my fiance and I could enjoy Jamaica when a hurricane wasn't evacuating the locals! When I was finally able to get in touch with a person at the Hotel in Negril they said no one from Vacation Express even tried to contact them to ask for a creditI was flooredI didn't want my money back, we wanted to go to Jamaica yet not during a Hurricane! The hotel clerk was very nice to tell me all Vacation Express needed to do was email the hotel asking for a hotel credit to use at a future dateVacation Express REFUSED to do so because it wasn't in the policyI work as a Front Office Manager for a very popular destination and this was horrible customer serviceI will NEVER recommend or use Vacation Express

I have booked with Vacation Express numerous times and have never had a problem thus far I always receive good customer service and have had some amazing trips booking through this company! I have recommended them to friends and family!

Our honeymoon went well in Playa Del Carmen that we booked through Vacation Express! We have just recently booked a vacation for the 3rd time through vacation express & are thrilled to say that they have the most incredible prices with airfare that are truly all inclusive, as well as very detailed for each hotel they representI however am concerned not per our booking with Vacation Express, but with our future vacation at Punta Cana Vista Sol in September After trusting that Vacation Express only places the best resorts offered on their site & the incredible memories we have already made because of them; however the reviews for this particular hotel do not seem to be so positive onlineI know this has no reflection on Vacation Express, but none the less my husband and I are excited to share this experience in Punta Cana & I hope it will be like the last two times visited! I attempted to follow up with the company Vacation Express to inquire about the verbally agreed reimbursement for transfer from the hotel to the airport never arriving resulting in a missed flight, flight change, and taxi charges exceeding the original purchase with the agencyI spoke with Shy, a supervisor with reservations who refused to transfer me to customer relations/satisfaction, and informed me that correspondence will be made with the booking travel agentI previously made a request in writing to Vacation Express to direct all correspondence regarding this matter directly to me, as the verbal agreement for reimbursement was made to me via telephone while I was in destination travelThe supervisor refused again to transfer to customer relations, and abruptly ended the call

I booked a trip to Aruba with Vacation Express online on March 28, I had to call them about transfer fees and boarding passesThere is only one number for themIt took me days to contact them as most of the time when I dialed the number the outgoing msg was the number was out of order or the customer cannot be reached Once connected was on hole for over 45min Received the info I needed and confirmed with agent that I was billed dollars on my credit card and the remaining would automatically be billed on May 2, I received an email on May 2, saying in the header "DO NOT RESPONDFinal payment invoice."
