1) On Wednesday September 17, 2014, a manager from A1 Garage doors visited with Mr. [redacted] and a battery was installed in the opener.

 

2) While out at the residence to install the battery in the opener the manager from A1 did inspect the garage floor. We have alerted our technicians and they are to repair the defect the week of September 25, 2014. 

 

3) A technician was dispatched to the residence to deliver and program new remotes September 18, 2014.

 

We will continue to monitor and keep in contact to ensure satisfaction. Mr. [redacted] has my direct contact information should there be any further issues that need to be addressed.

Please contact the customer - we spoke to him and this was a mistake and he wants to take this completely off.

customer had 4 year old springs that were well past their cycle life. Our technician correctly diagnosed the issue (old tired springs and several other issues ) with the malfunctioning garage door and repaired it.2 new high cycle springs with a 5 year warranty, center bearing plate, set of end...

bearing plates, 10 new high quality ball bearing rollers, new safety eyes. Customer then called us back 2 days later wanting the old springs back. As a general measure of safety, we dispose of the old springs as they would be very dangerous if a customer attempted to re-use them on another door. So, yes, 2 days later, those old springs had already been disposed of. Even still, as a measure of courtesy, we sent technician back to customer FREE OF CHARGE to go over everything, tune things up, see if we could get the door to quiet down a bit. Technician did just that and left a happy customer. Customer later had issues with her safety eyes. In general this means something is obstructing them, and the customer simply needs to adjust or un-obstuct them.  We had just been out there twice now, and door was working perfectly.  Yet we were going to send our tech back there a THIRD time, and customer cancelled because we couldn't get back there quick enough to her liking. We feel we have gone above & beyond to make this customer happy to no avail. And of course the competing garage door company is going to tell her bad things about our company, in an attempt to disparage us and get her business. In short we feel we have done all we could for this customer and she still wasn't satisfied. Our tech did not lie to the customer; the springs were 4 years old and well past their cycle life. The customer got full service and repair and many new high-quality, warrantied parts, installed in a timely & professional manner. Well worth the $833. The springs may have "looked like" they were fine, but old springs past the cycle life are highly dangerous and break easily and can cause injury.

So my first garage door problem in Milwaukee. Had to figure out who to call so I asked around. I was told A1 Garage Door Service. Just finished up having a new opener and spring installed by [redacted] from A1 Garage Door Service. What a tremendously pleasant and professional experience. He was right on time, worked efficiently, explained everything I needed to know and even helped me with a question on the other opener I have that they didn't install. He kept adjusting the settings on the new unit until they were exactly right and I was fully satisfied. And he thoroughly inspected my garage door and explained the repairs it will need in the future. Came home Friday after work and when closing the overhead door, the left cable broke wedging the door and making it impossible to open. Both the wife's and my car were inside. Called the company who put the door in and they said they couldn't be out until Monday. We'd be trapped at home all weekend and not able to go to work on Monday morning. That wasn't going to work. Coincidentally, I had just heard a radio spot for A1 Garage Doors. I Googled them then called and in less than an hour they were at the house. The tech (I think his name was Brian) did a great job and after replacing the cables, lubing the rollers and hinges, the door is working better and more quietly than ever. I couldn't be happier. Nice work A1!

My moms garage door broke last week so I decided to call a company that I heard about - a1 garage door service. They were very nice on the phone and took there time with her. The nice repairman came out to our house in Mesa and diagnosed the door within ten minutes began work, and he definitely knew what he was doing (Tommy). He took his time and explained everything about the broken garage door springs. After the work he went over the entire bill and it was less than expected after the discounts. We will use this company again and already told the neighbors to give this garage door repair company a call. They need a new garage door opener. Tommy recommended that we use a Liftmaster or a Guardian garage door unit. He said the Guardians are very quiet and will last a long time. Looking forward to using them in the future for my house. Amazing customer service from the moment their receptionist picked up the phone. I explained to them the issues I was having with my door and they had someone out the next morning!
The initial phone conversation was straight forward, with accurate prices quoted to me. The next morning, Dean showed up within the quoted timeframe and assessed my door issues, gave me a reasonable final cost and got straight to work! He was done overhauling my door in under an hour! I never knew my 30 year old garage door could be that quiet!
Most certainly will do business again in the future and will recommend them to anyone in need of service!

Highly recommend company!!!! I arrived at my vacation house to my garage not opening properly. I called around and was disappointed in the lack of customer service skills most other places had. My neighbor used A1 and recommend I call them. Their technician Mike came out and fixed my door in no time. Great pricing and outstanding customer service. I will for sure be calling them again. Not in town right now, but my garage door took a turn for the worst - I heard from a friend of mine that A1 Garage Door Service opened another location in Milwaukee. [redacted] actually works there and came out for a free estimate. Took him longer than I expected, but overall worth the wait. He diagnosed the door and was extremely informative. It was a nice experience and we will use them again down the road. Thanks A1.

We had an issue with our garage door closing and it happened around 5pm. We called several companies some charged an outrageously amount of $ just for service charge to come out after 5pm. We contacted A1 Garage, Missy answered phone, she was polite,helpful and quoted prices to me. She found someone that could come out, the repair man came within the hour if call. The young man, Harris called before to tell us he was on his way. Harris was polite, had a warm disposition, he explained our options visually pointed out what needed to be repaired. He completed work in about 30 minutes. He explained what he did, he showed me parts he replaced that were rusted and told us we had a 2 yr warranty on work. This was my 75yr old Mothers garage and it was vital the door be repaired this same evening ! OVERALL Great Customer Service Experience! I would recommend company and use their services in the future!

I just had my garage door repaired by Matt [redacted] of A1 Garage Door Services. He was very professional, neat and efficient. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and results.

I had several companies come out to give me a quote on replacing my garage door. To name a few of them: Geis, Joe Wilde, JDGriffiths, Lifetime, and Consolidated Garage Doors. The prices were coming in quite a bit different. I then heard by my neighbor when she saw all these companies coming to give A1 Garage Door Service a try. I was very happy I did, the guy Mike showed up on time, was honest and gave me a price I was very happy with. I waited to see how the service would go before I posted a review, and it was great. I live in Milwaukee and had a misunderstanding with the tech. The owner ([redacted]) found out about it and personally came out and fixed it! He also gave me a very fair price to fix the problem I was having. Good service and price after all!

Thanks to the garage door repair guys in Milwaukee. These guys came to the rescue. My car was stuck in the garage and I had a very important day at work that I couldn't miss. I called several other door repair places and they either didn't answer or they couldn't make it out that day. I got in touch with A1 and they quickly came out and fixed my door so I could get my car out. They even explained why it happened and gave me tips on how I could help prevent it from happening again.
Definitely recommended!

Review: On July 14 we purchased 2 garage parts order number [redacted] and [redacted] from your affiliated company [redacted]. On July 27 I followed up on my package and learned [redacted] claimed to have delivered my packages on July 17th. When I tried to contact your [redacted] I realized your affiliated company does not offer phone customer service. I contact the company via chat since this is the only form of communication, a [redacted] responded that I have to file a claim with [redacted].

I then filed the claim with [redacted]. About a week later [redacted] hand delivered a Shipment investigation form for both packages and requested a police report. I have obtained the police report. When I called [redacted] they claim the investigation is completed the package was not found and the shipper ([redacted]) would be reimbursed.

I up to date have not received my package nor have received a refunded. Please explain what is your affiliated company [redacted] policy. As [redacted] has not received double payment for my order and I haven't received a package nor a refund!Desired Settlement: I would like the parts that I ordered to be delivered or a refund of my money. [redacted] now has received payment from me and a refund from [redacted].
