I came back after a business trip and found out that my garage door is stuck and it won’t open no matter what I try to doAfter doing some Googling, looking for positive reviews for the garage door companies, I came upon AGarage Door Service and decided to go with themWe scheduled the repair the next day and their technician came exactly on time and did the job flawlesslyThe price was OK and I am happy with their service

I selected AGarage after reading all the positive reviews hereI called in on Labor Day and they were able to schedule me an appointment that dayI was relieved, my work schedule is Monday through Friday and I’m away 5-so getting repairs completed is difficult with that scheduleThe technician came out and advised what piece needed to replacedIn the track, there was a piece that would clip into another piece to pull the door up and down He further advised my garage door was too heavy for my springs and that was the larger issueWithout replacing the springs, my door would continue to break downTo replace the springs was around $800.At that point I asked how much just to replace the door which he advised was a couple hundred more and gave me various quotes I also had plumbing issues at the time and advised I need to see how much my plumbing repair will be before proceedingThe plumber was coming the following day so the garage technician advised he’d call me in two days to see how I’d like to proceedThe plumbing issue turned out to be a simple fix so I decided to proceed with the garage door
The technician never called backI replied through email but didn’t receive a responseI wanted one more quote and called back into the center advising what I was looking forThey said they’ll let the technician know and he’ll call me backA couple business days passed and I still hadn’t heard from himI called in again frustrated and they advised he’d call me backThis time he did get me the additional quote I requestedAt this point I should have cut my losses and gone with a different companyI compared garage door prices with other companies based off his quotes and Awas competitiveI pushed forward to order a new doorThe next couple weeks was a series of me chasing the companyI’d call in for something and I would be advised I’d be called backI would never be called back I always had to call back a couple days after I was advised they’d reach meWe finally get to the point that that both the door and piece have been received and they are ready to install
I took a day off of work ( Friday) to get it completedThe technician came out and first asked my why I was replacing the doorMy current garage door looked new and goodI explained about how I was advised the springs weren’t adequate for the heavy door to which he replied, “ oh yeah, sometimes it’s just better to get a new door”Now I’m feeling slightly taken advantage of but I’m too far in the process to turn backHe finished installing the door and all looked wellAfter he left I moved my car into the garageWhile trying to close the door the two pieces were not attaching to each other again which was the initial issueAnd the door would not open again
I called back into the center and advised I just had a new door installed and I am having the same initial issueIt was after hours so she advised someone will call me in the morning to get a technician out since my car was stuck in the garage nowThe morning came and went and I heard nothingCalling back in again and explaining again the issue, she advised someone would come out in two daysI explained that doesn’t work for me as I am stuck in my houseShe placed me on hold and worked with the schedule department and advised someone would be out between 1- The original door installer returned around 4:and I explained what was happeningHe advised the piece he replaced was slightly smaller than the original pieceHe manually pulled open the door ( I’m very short, not something I can easily do)He advised he had to get a new part and would come Monday morning between 7-8am
Here we are on Monday morning and that time window has come and goneI again called in to see what was happeningThe intake person advised they will follow up with the technician to call me backI know the drill now and was not holding my breatheHe did actually call me back and advised he had to go to the manufacture to get the piece but has another install to go to and will come back at the end of the dayAt this point I am lividI had already lost all day Saturday to get things done being stuck at the houseI told him I have things I need to do and can not sit and wait all day for him to show upHe then advised he would stop here first At this time I am still waiting for him to arriveWho knows if I hadn’t called if I would have ever been notified My door looks nice, but I can’t use itThe customer service has been so abhorrent with AGarageI hope to be able to use my garage as intended soon and never have to deal with Agarage again

10-3-Garage door was not operating correctlyCalled AGarage Door, since I have used them for a rental property Lonnie came out said it needed new springs, bearing plates, center bearings, all ball bearing rollers,and safety eyes replaced I had just found a receipt from Lifetime Garage Door in Tempe and showed him that they replaced the springs years ago Lonnie told me they had put the wrong springs on my garage door He than proceeded to argue with me when I asked him to leave the springsWhen I called the next day to get my springs back, I was told they were at the bottom of a dumpster Lonnie had to return on 10-at because of the garage door noise, he adjusted the motor My sister who was visiting suggested we check the garage door and at before retiring it was up and now kept going up and down over and over again We finally got the door closed When I called Ain the morning of the 8th Pat said the safety eyes were not set right I told him Lonnie

This company advertises many services and states a cost for the service in the ads They never state that there are additional charges in the ads or when you call to schedule service They just say the cost is what the ad states
I hired them to do a tuneup on my garage door The tech stated that there was an additional $fuel surcharge This is a very bad business practice - hidden fees I suggest that anyone calling this company ask about any additional fees

I am very glad with the work that Thomas did on our garage doorHe evaluated the condition of the door and hardware, explained his recommendations, and performed the work (springs, drums, cables) quickly and thoroughly

On the evening of March 5th approximately 7:PM I called the listed business to come to my home regarding a garage doorThe listed business sent out a Man by the name of LuisLuis arrived and gave me an estimate of the repairI was hesitant at the price and repair as what He was mentioning didn’t seem to be adequate with the work He would be providingLuis became very irritated with meI was home alone with my infant child, so I got me husband on the phoneAs I was explaining the repair to my husband, my husband wasn’t clear as what Luis was quoting as we had a few parts replaced not long before, Luis then kept interfering with mine and my husbands conversationLuis was rudely repeating “who fixed this junk, they didn’t do good work”I then told Luis we wouldn’t be using there business for our repairI then handed Luis my debit card, he intended to turn on my security lights outside my home, then laughing stated “ha ha, nice lights, good security, they’re not even working”

He was flexible with his schedule and came when I asked him toMy garage door needed a new garage door opener because the old one broke for the second time this year, so I decided to replace itAsold me an awesome opener at a discounted price and Mitch came to install itAfter the installation, which took a little less than half an hour, Mitch showed me how it works and I am very happy with his service

On March 21, we paid A-Garage Doors to install two new garage doors We left the valley the last weekend in May and returned the first weekend in October so the doors were rarely used during that time On October 19, the small door failed to operate properly A-Garage Doors came out and declared the problem to be the opener, for which they said they were not responsible When I asked why the installer had not made the necessary adjustment to the opener, for which the repairman was charging us $211.95, the repairman continued to repeat the line that the opener was the problem Since I had never received a copy of any warranty, I felt like I was on shaky ground so I foolishly paid the bill

My daughter backed into the garage door with her carluckily the car and her were OK, but the door couldn’t be opened anymoreI called experts from Ato come and assess the damageThey sent Steve, their technician, who came tomorrow and told me that he can fix the door the same day for 150$The price for the job was lower than I have expected, so I gladly paid for the repairJob well done Steve!
