I received garage door repair service from Agarage door on Thursday May 19th The work was completed in a satisfactory manner The charges for the repairs totaled $ I provided the tech my debit card for payment He seemed to be having trouble completing the transaction on his handheld terminal so I wrote a check for the repairs I later noticed that my card (checking account) had been charged times for I called Athat night and was told those transactions are pending and would be "batched out" The next day however those transactions posted I called Aagain and was told that someone would look into it At this point I have filed a dispute with Visa but I have still not heard back from ASo I have also put a STOP on the check that I wrote them With check written and CC charges I have paid a total of $for a $repairWhile I understand that issues like this can happen it is completely unacceptable that I have not heard from someone at Aw

I bought a new garage door opener from Agarage door service and scheduled the installationOne technician came the next day, brought a new opener with him and completed the job very quicklyHe also cleaned up the place and took the old garage door opener, which was 25+ years old, with himMy garage door works quietly, doesn’t stick and the price of the installation was cheapI would recommend A1!

Called for a quote Real professional and efficient Then came install time They rescheduled a total of times before they came out Technician left greasy fingerprints all over new doors and install garbage all over my garage floor Then for the kicker...he wired it incorrectly so that the light does not turn on and the motion sensor does not work He’s due to come out today, and now minutes before their schedule window is over, the company has called to reschedule...again

I came home after work and I could not open my garage door to park my carIt was after pm, so I though there’s no chance I will find someone to come and fix the problem that eveningLuckily, thanks to a friend of mine, I heard for Aand called themThey sent ***, their technician the same night and he fixed the problem within an hourHe didn’t charge me extra for coming immediately, and the price for the repair was more than reasonable

Yes, we made scheduling problems & communication errorsBut we arrive & see a garage door sw/ older spring technologyOrdered & installed springs recommended by door manufacturer. Still problems, due to older door in rough shapeAs a temporary fix, we install "struts",
which are metal brackets mounted to door itselfCustomer unhappyWe address this; to right past wrongs, AND to leave customer with a safe, operational garage door, we install a totally NEW garage door, complete w/ new springs & torsion system, at our cost ($instead of $800)After install, we send tech back to completely re-frame opening w/ new lumber, & re-install door to make it sit rightNow customer unhappy due to small gap at bottom corner; concrete & foundation settles in over many years which is common. (customer told about re-leveling concrete & foundation; a home construction issue.) Customer still angrySo again, using our time, equipment, parts, & resources, we install thicker bottom rubber which helps uneven bottom gapSmall (rubbing) issue that thicker bottom rubber is causing, customer still unhappy. We offer to put in original bottom rubber, plus a "threshold" (specialized strip that mounts directly to floor; helps with a better bottom seal)Threshold is $& not part of any new garage doorWe absolutely are aware that there were errors made on our part, we apologized & owned up to them, going back many times, attempting to make customer happy, & not charging a centIn summation, customer received: 1) brand new garage door w/ springs & hardware included 2) new re-framing of garage door opening 3) upgraded bottom sealAltogether, we're into this customer well over $2K in parts, service, & laborHe has paid $We feel like we've gone above & beyond taking care of this customerHe now has a new working garage door in safe operational orderOur offer still stands to install threshold for $

I placed an order by accidentWithin minutes I had contacted the company by both email and telephone telling them the order was an accident and to cancel the order immediatelyThey ignored meTwo days later they shipped out the item and continued to ignore meThe item arrived in the mail and the package was severely damagedI refused delivery and sent it back to themFinally, more than days after I had cancelled the order, they responded with a one line email just saying all sales are final, no returns There was no "sale" hereI cancelled the order immediately after it was placedIt is the company's fault that they did not bother to respond to my cancellations until days too lateThey should not have shipped out an item when they were under strict instructions from the customer not to ship the item

At my rental house address *** ** *** *** **, Tucson, AZ ***My tenants have backed up to the garage door and caused some damageI have a door garage and decided to fix and or replace the damaged garage panel through AGarage door services company " *** * *** ** *** ***, Tempe, AZ ***" Which I located through the internetThey sent their technician to check out the damage and decided to have it replacedPrior to signing any contract, and since there is a homeowner's association involved as well, I made sure and asked the technician prior to engaging in any contract; the new garage door panel has to match exactly the previous panel, similar to the one next to it
The technician assured me that they have to order that panel anyways and there won't be any problems at all, and will have the exact panelHe also replied by saying that in case they couldn't find the exact replacement, then they will refund my full money back

We are "A1 Garage Door Service". We fix garage doors. A1 Garage Door Service does not sell and/or ship springs to the public. This complaint is for the wrong business.

As I said in original complaint, I had a garage door company tech come with 16 years experience.  The door A1 Installed was 1" out of alignment and in his 16 years never seen a garage door installed with completely the wrong struts and hinges.  It DID NOT need a threshold!  Or new cement foundation!  He fixed it so it could at least work in 45 minutes.

A-1 sent a representative out to repeat the same old "song and dance".  He gave a verbal statement about efforts to "make me happy", but there is nothing in writing.  He did not even leave a business card.

As far as the Arizona Cost Recovery fee, We must pay tax when purchasing the parts so we pass that cost onto the customer as opposed to the old system where the customer was responsible for the sales tax. it is actually cheaper this way (by about 3%) to the customer. 1) On Wednesday September 17, 2014, a manager from A1 Garage doors visited with Mr. [redacted] and a battery was installed in the opener.
 
2) While out at the residence to install the battery in the opener the...

manager from A1 did inspect the garage floor. We have alerted our technicians and they are to repair the defect the week of September 25, 2014. 
 
3) A technician was dispatched to the residence to deliver and program new remotes September 18, 2014.
 
We will continue to monitor and keep in contact to ensure satisfaction. Mr. [redacted] has my direct contact information should there be any further issues that need to be addressed.
