Thank you for...

contacting GWC Warranty in response to this
concern.
I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and
the contract details associated.
GWC Warranty did process a cancellation request through the
customer’s selling dealer April 7, 2015. The customer would need to contact the
selling dealer in regards to the refund due.
GWC Warranty does have a management call back request process
in place, and I had reached out to the customer on April 20, 2015 to explain
the cancellation process. I was not able to reach the customer at that time.
I have attached a copy of the contract application for
review.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to
contact me again.

concern.
I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and
the contract details associated. The
customer did have a claim initiated in March of 2015 for an engine failure. The
contract holder was not able to provide valid maintenance documentation of the
scheduled oil changes being completed. The vehicle service contract does
address this specifically as follows;
11. YOUR OBLIGATIONS: In addition
to the other provisions of this Contract, and, in order to receive coverage and
benefits under the Terms & Conditions of this Contract, You must:
• At your
expense, maintain the Vehicle according to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications
including, but not limited to, scheduled oil changes, transmission fluid
changes, differential fluid changes, fluid level checks and refilling when
required, and lubrication of the steering components and suspension.
• Acknowledge
that, prior to authorizing any repairs for a Mechanical Breakdown of a Covered
Component, We reserve the right to require proof of routine scheduled maintenance
as outlined above.

contacting GWC warranty in response to this
concern.
I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and
the contract details associated. GWC
warranty did have a mechanical inspection completed to verify the engine
failure. The inspection had shown the coolant tank was empty and the engine
failure was related to continued operation of an overheating engine. The
vehicle service contract addresses these issues specifically as follows;
9. EXCLUSIONS (WHAT IS NOT COVERED): This Contract
provides no benefits and GWC has no obligation under the Terms & Conditions
set forth for what is not covered herein listed below.
• Any Mechanical Breakdown caused by contamination of or lack
of proper levels of fuel, coolants, lubricants, or fluids. This
includes fluid leaks. Contamination means unintended presence or introduction
of contaminants.
• Repairs required
because of collision, modification, abuse, overheating, fire, theft,
freezing, vandalism, Acts of God, or any loss that is insurable under standard
physical damage coverage whether or not such insurance may be in force with
Your Vehicle.

• Mechanical Breakdown arising out of negligence or continued
operation of an impaired Vehicle
GWC warranty would have no obligation towards the repair
costs associated with engine overheating failure.

I am rejecting this response because:
AND I HOPE THEY READ THIS BECAUSE IT'S ENGLISH, All the COMPONENTS  that are covered need the serpentine belt in order to operate therefore, although not listed in the contract, SHOULD be consider part of eact component as without it neither part would operate. Also, the seal and gasket causing oil leaks, should also be part of the engine, though without it working properly, the covered engine would not operate properly.
This warranty has over 100 complaints online, I know they are not going to comply however, I want it to be noted that they are operating a scam, taking 3,000 for a warranty and selectively interpreting the contract wording to their own benefit.

I had a customer that was on vacation in SC who broke down and called me in a panic with her kids in the car at the resort. I told her to call GWC. GWC told her the garage to take it to and it was fixed within 24 hours. It didn’t even impact her vacation.

warranty had a mechanical inspection completed 7/24/14 and found the repairs to

I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and
the contract details associated. The
repair shop did not replace the rear suspension control arms that were
initially approved on April 27, 2015. The shop called back May 7, 2015 to
inform GWC warranty that the rear control arms were not replaced.  The claim was adjusted to reflect the amended
total due to the parts that were not replaced.

Do not purchase a warranty with this company the most they will pay would be maybe and I stress maybe 20-40 percent of what's wrong with your vehicle. I work for G[redacted] insurance, in claims, in litigation so I am familiar with policy contracts and language. This company advised a certified Honda dealership that they would not cover Honda parts for a covered portion of my warranty but would only cover after market parts. However, in the exclusion portion of their policy contract and outlined in multiple other places that aftermarket parts would not be covered. So, if I were to get my car fixed and et aftermarket parts that they are suggesting then in the future if there is another issue that would be a way for them NOT to pay due to the exclusion(s) Get it!!???!! In addition a lot of the terms and conditions as they are defined are open for interpretation pretty much it gives them "wiggle" room to manipulate the wording in their contract to their liking if they want to deny your claim. Their practice is what I call unethical.
