Thank you for contacting GWC warranty in response to this concern....

I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and the claim details associated with this concern. GWC warranty did have an independent inspection completed that had verified a long term fluid leak from the rear differential and consequential damage to the internals. The vehicle service contract addresses this type of failure specifically as follows;
9. EXCLUSIONS — WHAT IS NOT COVERED: This Contract provides no benefits and NADN has no obligation under the Terms & Conditions set forth for what is not covered herein listed below.
• Any Mechanical Breakdown caused by contamination of or lack of proper levels of fuel, coolants, lubricants, or fluids. This includes fluid leaks. Contamination means unintended presence or introduction of contaminants.

I am rejecting this response because:
I never received a contract until after they were paid. I want a full refund as they have paid for none of the repairs needed on my vehicle and I request a refund immediately. Essentially I signed and received the full contract later. My next step is to go to the attorney general , consume advocate division for resolution of the matter, it is my opinion they never pay out on anything they claim to cover and to say I cant use factory parts is obsurd !

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  One Question, why did GWC conduct an investigation on the damage to my vehicle, asking for pictures and estimates if GWC was not liable? I don't understand why put me thru this at all.

The following is an outlined representation of my experience with GWC Warranty Company, in truth, to the best of my knowledge. In writing this review, I am in no way discouraging any reader of this review in his or her business decisions regarding GWC Warranty.
I've never had a more negative experience with a warranty company. I purchased a 24-month/ 26,500 mile "powertrain plus" warranty with GWC Warranty in September 2015. Since that time, I have tried to submit (through a certified Chevrolet dealership) two claims. The mechanic at the dealership stated that he "believed" the warranty should cover the repairs, but the warranty company refused to do so. Moreover, I was told that customer service would not return phone calls to the dealership, and as so, I would have to try to get in touch with GWC to discuss covering the repair costs on my own. Regarding the second repair, the dealership had my vehicle for approximately 6-weeks. I am uncertain as to when the first time they tried to contact GWC to speak to their coverage of the repair was. I eventually contacted GWC regarding the second issue myself, and the company refused to pay stating "oil consumption is not covered". I was told by the dealership, the "motor was bad", and I had purchased a powertrain plus warranty, and GWC refused to pay for motor repairs! So apparently, motor issues of my type were not covered under a "powertrain plus" warranty. I've had to pay all required repair costs out of pocket, in addition to the $1,840 extended warranty cost I paid when I purchased the vehicle. As so, I feel the "powertrain plus" extended warranty has been worthless regarding my motor issues. Lastly, I was told by a service representative at GWC that they would not refund my money for the remaining miles left on my warranty. This is all I want at this point, a simple refund, and them to stop coverage. Please due your due diligence before buying an extended warranty. On a side note, did you know with today's world of social media, it is possible to reach over 1 million people in a matter of weeks! I discuss my experiences with those I do business with, both good and bad. The bad experiences I discuss until they are made right.
I do wonder, do the board members of the O[redacted] Teachers' Pension Plan, the stated owner of this business, know about experiences with GWC such as mine? I know that I am quite interested in making them aware.

Rejection Response
I have reviewed the customer’s second rejection of our
response.
GWC warranty had a mechanical inspection performed to verify
the additional failures reported by the shop after approving the initial repair
claim for head gaskets. The shop had
found the cylinder head warped past the allowable specification for machining
once disassembled. The decision to deny the claim for overheat damage was based
on the factual report provided by the independent expert that examined the
vehicle.
GWC warranty would have no obligation towards the cost of
the overheat damage to the cylinder head.
GWC warranty did provide coverage of the failed head gasket
and labor totaling $690.24.

I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and

GWC Warranty did have 2 independent mechanical inspections
performed to verify the failures reported. The mechanical inspector had found
the vehicle did have aftermarket modifications installed to the exhaust system.
They had also verified a lack of lubrication in the engine had caused damage to
the internals and the subsequent failure. Those items are both specifically
addressed in the vehicle service contract terms as follows;
9. EXCLUSIONS (WHAT IS NOT COVERED): This Contract
provides no benefits and GWC has no obligation under the Terms & Conditions
set forth for what is not covered herein listed below.
• Any Mechanical Breakdown caused by
contamination of or lack of proper levels of fuel, coolants, lubricants, or
