Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The dealership in which diagnosed my car did not inform me to have oil change receipts dating all the way since I got the car.  I asked how many and The lady cathy who is in the service department said that the adjuster never specifyed on how many I needed.Secondly, Academy auto where I got my oil changed only had a log book with the information of what they worked on. So when I asked for a copy of the receipts, they went back in the log book and wrote me receipts from which they got the information out of their log book. They were not fraudulent. I didnt know I was supposed to keep my reciepts from oil changes. I never needed them before because I never went through anything like this.That is why the owner signed his name to it. I called and let the shop know it was OK to go ahead with the teardown but hopefully I will not have any problems after now. Thank you

Thank you for...

contacting GWC Warranty in response to this
concern.
I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and
the contract details associated.
GWC Warranty did process a cancellation request for total
loss effective February 10, 2015. The refund is based on dealer cost and GWC
Warranty has refunded the prorated amount of what was received. The dealer, if applicable,
it required to then attach the retail prorated portion of the vehicle service
contract cost when refunding the customer.
I have attached a copy of the service contract application
for review.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to

I have reviewed the customer rejection response. The vehicle service contract does specifically address the concerns the customer is having. The claim coverage for parts and labor is described as follows;

The vehicle service contract also addresses rental car coverage specifically as follows;

contacting GWC warranty in response to this concern.
I have reviewed the customer’s statement and the claim details associated. GWC warranty did have an independent inspection completed and determined there would be further diagnosis needed prior to authorization.  The customer and the repair shop were informed of the additional diagnostics required prior to repair authorization.
GWC warranty did provide the customer with local repair shops to have that additional diagnosis performed if needed.
GWC warranty would advise the customer to not have any repairs completed prior to an authorization number being issued.
I have attached a copy of the contract application for review.

GWC warranty approved a cylinder head gasket repair claim
November 26, 2014. That claim was approved in accordance with the parts and
labor coverage listed in the contract terms.
The repair shop contacted GWC warranty again on December 3,
2014, in regards to findings of the cylinder head being warped past allowable
specification. GWC warranty had an independent inspection completed that
verified overheating damage had caused the warping of the cylinder head. GWC warranty specifically excludes this type
of failure due to overheating.
The original repair claim for the failed head gasket has
been approved.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I do now understand what the cancelation of the warrante is, but there is also a some thing about being fair to customers. I bought this service, sold my car after I year and never used it one time. I sold my car and now I find out there is no refunds for or transfers. I was very hesitant about purchasing this to start. I guess I had a good reason to feel that way. If this is the only satisfaction I get, I will never purchase another warrante for any product for any reason.  This is a complete rip off. GWC
 could be fair.

Thank you for contacting GWC warranty in response to this concern.
I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and the claim details associated. The customer did have a claim...

initiated January 4, 2016 for a failed Catalytic Converter exhaust pipe. That item is not listed in the Component Coverage section of the vehicle service contract. Only items specifically listed would be available for coverage through GWC Warranty.
I have reviewed the call recordings also and verified GWC Warranty did not provide or imply any coverage or authorization when speaking to the customer.
With regards to cancellation and refund, the service contract does address that procedure specifically as follows;
13. CANCELLATION(S) AND REFUND(S):
• Only in the event that the Vehicle is declared a total loss by the insurance company insuring the Vehicle, or the Vehicle is validly repossessed by the Contract Holder’s lender, will We and the Selling Dealer refund a pro rata portion of the Contract purchase price. We shall issue a pro rata refund of the amount received by Us from the Selling Dealer based on the lesser of the remaining time or mileage on this Contract, deducting any claims paid or approved for payment by Us and a fifty dollar ($50) service charge. All cancellations must be processed through the Selling Dealer or Your Lien Holder.
If the above conditions for cancellation and refund are met, the customer is urged to contact their Selling Dealer or Lien Holder to submit a cancellation request.

 Complaint: [redacted]I appreciate GWC responding to the letter I sent to the Revdex.com as they did not respond to my letter directly to me.
I am rejecting this response because: it appears that GWC management still does not understand that I was without my vehicle for an entire month's time due to the fact that Mr. P[redacted] insisted I keep returning (four times) to the location that GWC recommended even though the location was not able to or equipped to handle the problem.  Also, the location that Mr. P[redacted] insisted I keep returning to took my vehicle (without permission) to another location which was resulted in excessive wear and tare.  There is no accountability on GWC's end for the companies (garages) that they refer their customers (warranty holder/purchases) to which is unfortunate and poor customer service. Customer service is determined on how a company treats their customers and provides a "service" - the service obtained through GWC's garage was completely unprofessional and inadequate and instead of GWC ensuring that the service and work needed on the vehicle was handled properly insisted I return to a location that was no longer trustworthy or even capable to perform the work that the contract covers as is noted by the attachment.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted]
The response from the company had NO resolution. It only stated that they paid for repairs in the amount of $3400 and some odd dollars. My warranty did not state my coverage is limited to a certain dollar amount & then expires. They did not explain that the amount they did cover still cost me out of my pocket & also took quite some time for repairs to be completed. They never explained or suggested that as my car was being repaired that I could have a rental car as the one repair took almost a month to complete. It also took the adjuster of the company one week to come & determine whether or not they want to cover the repair.  It was an inconvenience to me as the consumer as well as very stressful. I am not complaining about what they have done for me but I am pleading that the difference of the out of pocket repair cost is only $1200 to resolve this issue. My warranty coverage expires in less than 2,000 miles now. I paid for the warranty coverage because I knew purchasing a used car could incur some unexpected costly expense not knowing what I was buying. Would it not be in the best interest of the company to just please the consumer and keep a good reputation?
Sincerely,

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: In there response all They did was post a copy of a warranty contract and said that they where with in there right and did not do anything wrong. Just because you say it enough times dose not make it became the truth. No mention was made as to why they lied, or failed to provide the appropriate fixes that I paid for when purchasing the contract. Nothing was said about why I had to fork out almost $700 extra dollar due unnecessary delays on there behalf they also are refusing to acknowledge that there own preferred shop refused to provide the cut rate services they where trying to get away with paying for. All of this leading to a long delay in my much needed  vehicle   being fixed extreme stress and a ton of increases medical issues. I only want them to cover what they should of paid for in the first place 1. the complete fix of the transmission minus my deductible and 2. my entire rental car bill since it was due to there inability to do there job and preform the services the sold me that caused this bill in the first place.  Asking for nothing else at this point. Completely reasonable. Sadly I am not the first wont be the last if they are not held accountable for there action.  If needed their own preferred shop took records of all interactions with GWC to show how they are at fault here and tried to do cut rate work and provided us with those records, we are more then willing to provide copies to Revdex.com.  Regards,[redacted] And [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:The terms and conditions were not given to me when I signed the contract. I was made to believe that the terms and conditions were those that was stated on the page describing what would be included in the plan. Only the one page that I signed was presented to me when I signed the contract.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted] you are incorrect in your statement that the maintenance records exceeded the current mileage on the vehicle. The current mileage on the vehicle is 79,310 miles. The last maintenance  record submitted from 9/6/14 stated the mileage was 77,135 (See attached). GWC Warranty should at least pay half of the repairs as this claim has nothing to do with maintenance of the vehicle. But since you are not a reputable company we will accept nothing less than a full refund of what we paid for the bogus warranty. We demand that you refund 2995.00 to us at once.
