GWC Warranty has contacted the customer directly on July, 30
2015 to review this repair claim. We had explained that they would need to
authorize additional diagnostic time to the repair shop to display the
mechanical failures to the turbochargers.
I have attached a copy of the original contract application

I am rejecting this response because:THIS IS NOT RIGHT!  YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED FOR THE WAY YOU SPOKE TO ME, NOT SENDING ME THE DAMNED REJECTION LETTER!  TO HAVE SOMEONE WHOSE BILLS I PAY SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND IT IS A SLAP IN THE FACE FOR YOU TO BE THE ONE REPLYING TO THIS!

I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and the claim details associated. The claim in question was not covered by GWC...

Warranty due to collision impact damage to the vehicle. We had explained this to the customer on several occasions. With regards to a refund, the vehicle service contract does address cancellation and refunds specifically as follows;
13. CANCELLATION(S) AND REFUND(S):
• Only in the event that the Vehicle is declared a total loss by the insurance company insuring the Vehicle, or the Vehicle is validly repossessed by the Contract Holder’s lender, will We and the Selling Dealer refund a pro rata portion of the Contract purchase price. We shall issue a pro rata refund of the amount received by Us from the Selling Dealer based on the lesser of the remaining time or mileage on this Contract, deducting any claims paid or approved for payment by Us and a fifty dollar ($50) service charge. All cancellations must be processed through the Selling Dealer or Your Lien Holder.
If the above conditions for cancellation are met, the customer is urged to contact their selling dealer to submit a cancellation request.

I have reviewed the customer’s rejection response. As stated
in prior correspondence, the vehicle service contract has a specific component
coverage list. The contract addresses component coverage specifically as
follows;
• Covered Component(s) means those items specifically
listed in this Contract Application under Powertrain,
Standard, or
Comprehensive, or all items except those specifically excluded in this Contract
Application under
Ultra and
Ultra Wrap, respective of Your Coverage.
 
The customer has the Standard level of coverage which does
not specifically list the transmission control module.
The contract application and terms were included on prior
correspondence.

I was informed that mailing to them the repair invoice for calipers after the fact would be reimbursed...  p.s. I just use this vehicle for work ... appr. 20000 mi. usage definitely not a normal wear and tear item....

I have reviewed the customer’s rejection of our second response. The components that had failed and caused the engine damage are not listed for coverage on this vehicle service contract. Any consequential failures as a result of those non covered components, would not be eligible for coverage through GWC Warranty. The service contract addresses this specifically as follows;
9. EXCLUSIONS — WHAT IS NOT COVERED: This Contract provides no benefits and GWC has no obligation under the Terms & Conditions set forth for what is not covered herein listed below.
• Repairs to Covered Components caused by the failure of a non-covered component.
GWC Warranty would have no obligation towards the repair costs associated with these non-covered failures.

I have reviewed the customers’ statement of the problem.
The “front control module” is not a component listed for
coverage on this vehicle service contract. The repair facility must initiate a
claim by contacting the GWC Claims department to obtain a Claim Authorization
Number prior to the work being completed.
The vehicle service contract addresses cancellations and
refunds specifically as follows;
13.
CANCELLATION(S) AND REFUND(S):
• You can cancel this Contract if Your Vehicle is declared a total loss by the insurance company
insuring Your Vehicle, or the Vehicle is validly repossessed by the Lien Holder. All cancellation requests
must be processed through the Selling
Dealer. If the Selling Dealer has
gone out of business, You can
submit your cancellation request directly to Us. In the event of a cancellation, the Lien Holder, if any, will be named on the cancellation check as
their interest may appear
The customer is urged to contact their Selling Dealer to submit a
cancellation request if the required terms for cancellation are met.

I have reviewed the customer’s statement of the problem and the contract details associated. The customer did have a failure of a gasket on the oil filter...

housing, which is not listed for coverage on the vehicle service contract. The gasket had caused an oil leak and continued operation of the vehicle drained the engine oil and led to engine failure. The failure of the non-covered gasket, and subsequent engine damage from continued operation are addressed in the service contract specifically as follows;
9. EXCLUSIONS — WHAT IS NOT COVERED: This Contract provides no benefits and GWC has no obligation under the Terms & Conditions set forth for what is not covered herein listed below.
• Repairs to Covered Components caused by the failure of a non-covered component.
• Mechanical Breakdown arising out of negligence or continued operation of an impaired Vehicle.
• Any Mechanical Breakdown caused by contamination of or lack of proper levels of fuel, coolants, lubricants, or fluids. This includes fluid leaks. Contamination means unintended presence or introduction of contaminants.
Due to the vehicle running low on engine oil and causing damage from a non-covered gasket leak, GWC Warranty would have no obligation towards the repair costs associated.

I am rejecting this response because:
The denial of such claims is based on a subjective interpretation of the contract. A vehicle is a complex machine and there are many components. Obviously, there will be components that are "not listed." The reason this type of warranty exists is to mitigate the cost of major repairs such as this.   
Please see the attached receipt from the dealer showing the cost of the Valve $665 and Labor $440 in question.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TECH BOOK, SORRY ABOUT YOUR LUCK THANK YOU FOR YOUR MONEY. IN TWO YEARS I NEVER HAD A CLAIM. HAD A LITTLE OIL LEAK TOOK THE CAR TO A FACTORY DEALER THINKING I WAS COVERED. NOPE ALL KINDS OF STICK IT TO YOU LOOP HOLES FROM THE FINE PRINT. GWC warranty performs independent market research to determine our accepted industry standards for labor rate coverage. Our accepted industry standard in the customers’ area is $75 per hour.
The customer can contact GWC warranty for referrals to any of the shops that we have researched and verified operate within our accepted industry standards.

A claim for engine repair was initiated with our office
after 219-miles from vehicle sale. The repair facility claimed that the engine
had internal noise and lack of oil pressure. GWC warranty immediately
dispatched an independent expert to examine the engine and verify the claim.
The expert verified the issue and determined that the engine failure was
directly related to a buildup of contamination in the form of “sludge”. This
sludge restricted the oil flow of the engine resulting in its failure. (Please
see attached pictures of the subject engine)
The service contract specifically excludes coverage for this
condition and provides no benefits for components that fail as the result of
contaminated oils/fluids. Specifically, the contract provides for the
following:
