Thank you for allowing us to respond. We reiterate our position on this matter. Ann [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID...

[redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Per the manufacturers request I am providing the additional details:VIN: [redacted]Purchase Date: 09/2015Purchase Place: Bent Bike in Lynnwood, WAI also called HD customer service and they provided me with a CASE ID: 2591234 - However the representative was very rude saying I dont care if you could have died or killed other people the bike is out of warranty and not our fault. I was shockd that Harley Davidson could say something like that as safety is No 1 priority when riding motorcycles and I doubt that was only the representatives thinking and not Harley Davidsons response as this can be a huge reliability issue if not addressed properly.
Regards,
[redacted]

I was not charged $48  to install a detachable backrest on my motorcycle, I was charged $48 to flip the right shock the right way that should have came from the factory when it was built. I purchased the backrest through Harley Davidson so its not an aftermarket part. Harley Davidson is not getting it through there thick corporate heads, that no modification should have been necessary if they at the factory installed the shock the right way and not cause interference of putting on the backrest .Why would Harley Davidson send a service bulletin out if there was no concern. There should have been no concern on my part but just attach the backrest. There would be no problem with the placement of the shock if there was no design use for the shock for using it with the 4 point docking station, but as soon as you as a  customer buys a part like a backrest and spend more money it is a design flaw on Harley Davidson behalf.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I finally got the motorcycle back, yes it was ready on January 13th, 2018, but remember that I dropped it off on August 8th, 2017, it was in the shop for 5 months, and it is beyond unacceptable and a simple apology not going to make it go away, dealership have contacted them many times and they did not care until I opened this complaint. On first compliant I did the math how much this long wait costeded me, I want it back, I want what I paid for during this 5 months back, the Dealer estimate was 35 days for it to be ready and they did not deliver due to manufacturer failed to provide parts and I want to be compensated for my damage during this time or I will take legal action and I have enough proof to show they owe me more than an insulting apology.

So basically all I get is an apology? I want results not apologies. I just want my motorcycle fix. We, the consumers, are the ones that keep your company in business.  We, the consumers pay thousands and thousands of dollars for your motorcycles just to be to be told tough luck with a problem yall know about!!! I’m not asking for a new motorcycle I’m just asking for you to fix my motorcycle.

I personally feel that the noise my motorcycle is making is not a noise it was designed to make otherwise all twin cam engines would also make it, therefore it is a defect in craftsmanship and should be repaired under the warranty that was included in the price of the motorcycle. As such I do not find this acceptable.

Thank you for your response.  As previously explained, we have reviewed the pictures and the damage is not consistent with a manufacturing defect.  The Extended Service Plan does not cover cosmetic issues such as this.  Please refer directly to your ESP contract information for further explanation of coverage.

Thank you for your inquiry.  As stated in the Limited Warranty, it is Harley-Davidson's decision to repair or replace the fender.  A professional painter assured the Harley-Davidson Dealership that this fender could be repaired. Therefore, our decision to repair verses...

replaces the fender remains.Thank you for allowing me to explain our position in this matter.
