Terrible service Go with a reputable local vendor for a security system

I had an alarm partially installed by alarm guard in October and the system has not yet been completed
ADT has alarm guard install on their behalfAlarm guard didn't finish the installMy alarm can not be setWe are nearing months of harassing phone calls from alarm guard pretending to be ADT saying we owe money and also ADT has called looking dor money but the system is not yet finishedI have talked to several agents and none of them ever get back to me or follow through with what they say that will doI have a small business in my garage and my equipment is vulnerable

We hired ADT security to install an alarm system in our prior home We were customers for over years and they provided the service satisfactorly We paid for all the hardware up front and our agreement included monthly monitoring only, which we paid for monthly, via automatic payment from our checking account We sold that home January 22nd, and contacted ADT by phone to cancel the service(Due to the sale of the property and we were told the account would be closed) Obviously, they did not close the account and continue to bill our account, even after numerous phone conversations, letters and faxes sent including requested copies of the property sale They have made several promises to refund us and they have stated they are recording the conversations for there records and have supposably updated our "file" with these notes Today I recieved a letter from a collection firm demanding payment for $ claiming we owe them for services (My identity was stolen and I h

Cancelled monitoring services via telephone on 9/9/The monthly charge was $Today 2/8/2017, an electronic draft for $was made, from my checking account, without consent, for Oct, Nov & Dec and Jan plus penalties of some kindADT conveniently does not have record of the phone call made on 9/9/They said they do not cancel service for non-payment until or days past last payment received, which conveniently allowed them to make the unauthorized draft, because they will say the account was still ACTIVEHOW CONVENIENT! Payments, prior to 9/9/were made as an automatic electronic draft, from our checking accountBut since services were cancelled, that's why payments were not madeSo according to ADT, everything is conveniently in favor of their getting paid for services NOT RENDERED, WANTED OR NEEDEDThis is not an ethical business practiceTalked to two managerial employees that said charge reversal is not possible

I called ADT on 02/28/and requested to cancel my service as well as paid my account in full $ Today 04/04/I received in the mail a PAST DUE bill for $ I immediately called the number and told the agent that I cancelled and paid the outstanding bill on 02/28/so why am I receiving a PAST DUE bill The agent checked the notes and confirmed that I did call and cancel and that a payment was made on 02/28/ However, this agent transfers my to their collection department where I spoke to a Cornelious who stated that my payment was made on the 2/28/however no record was made to cancel I ask to speak to a Supervisor so I'm transferred to a rude Supervisor named Deanna who says I lacked communication and verified my payment but would not resolve the issueShe stated she would cancel by service as of today 04/04/and I would be responsible for the balance even though this was an error on ADT part I stated that my account should be at a zero balance and c

Forgery of signature or digital copy of signature to three year contract when one year contract was what was discussed with technician at installation
We are federal employees and I know for certain at installation the technician told me it was a one year contract as at the time we knew we would not be in this house for three yearsI would not have signed a three year contractMy signature is also not placed correctly on the signature lineThere are hundreds of people on the Internet stating they did not realize they were signing a three year contract when clearly, they did not sign oneThe documents are fraudulentIn addition, the first time I called to cancel there was ZERO mention of a three year contract tractInstead the phone operator placed me on hold for minutes then literally told me my family and home was in danger if I did not continue with their servicesThis is intimidation and harrassment as well as threatening behaviorPlus, if the contract was legitimate, wh

After being an ADT customer for just months, we were broken into on New Years dayThe company initially told me that my two-way speaker system would allow them to hear if there was an intruder in our home and be able to dispatch police with a confirmed break inFALSEInstead, they called me to tell me there was a confirmed break in and ask if they should dispatch policewhat a waste of timeThe whole point of getting a security system is to expedite the time of police arrival
After we filed our police report, I called ADT to discuss getting a new sensor since our front door had been kicked in and the sensor had been damagedI was told without remorse that the sensors being damaged during a burglary is not covered in the warranty and I was going to have to purchase a new oneNo one in the company seemed to understand or care that my house had been burglarized on their watchThere was never any empathy or apologies involved
Then when I called to cancel my service, I was forwarded to a very snippy and monotone woman who did not try to keep my business or listen about my complaintsInstead, she told me that I had the first days to cancel and should have done so thenHow could I have known in the first three days that my security company would not have my back when I actually needed them as a security company?!
I will tell everyone within earshot of the promises ADT offers to prevent them going through this

I had home alarm services with ADTI moved, and set up service in my new homeI rented out my previous home, and the tenants set up service with ADT for the existing systemWhen there was a problem with the alarm at the rental house, ADT did not resolve the attendant billing issue to my satisfactionThey were careless and I feel dishonest in their approach to resolution and customer service, so I decided to close my account with ADTI contacted them in writing and told them to close the accountA month later I received a bill for current servicesI told them in writing AGAIN that the account was closed.The final notice I sent by certified letterAgain they presented me with active service billsThis happened a third timeI called ADT and the agent said "she didn't get the letter"The account was finally closedAbout months later a collection agency contacted me trying to collect on an amount ADT was asking forI told the collection agent that I had told ADT IN WRITING

I have tried to discontinue services from ADT since May I have made at least phone calls only to be told my reimbursement would be expedited
ADT continue to withhold reimbursement of service refund and make excuses as to why the payment was not processed

BEWARE ADT WILL LIE TO YOU SO YOU CAN SIGN A CONTRACT THEN ADD FEE'S TO YOUR MONTHLY BILL I have been with alarm company for over years I did not have a contract when I call for issues with the system When a tec came out I was told they would NEED to change the system because they discontinued the one I had I asked if that would cost me anything I was told NO I also asked if my monthly bill will increase I was also told NO but it was a LIE After signing the contract they increased by bill and NOW refuse to lower it I HATE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE MAKING ME STAY WITH THEM BECAUSE I CANT AFFORD TO BREAK THE CONTRACT I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM DO NOT SIGN ANY KIND OF CONTRACT WITH THEM THEY ARE LIES

For almost a year I've experienced Repeated unwanted phone calls despite asking to be removed from their list
I keep receiving phone calls from their customer service number asking for somebody that I do not knowI have politely ask them to remove me from your call list and they always say they will but they never do because I keep getting the phone calls
These calls are harassing and annoying especially as they come on weeknights or weekends

I will never recommend ADT to anyone! worse service everThey contract a third party to install and tell you lies
I got my initial service in August and had to move in December, I relocate the service and specifically made sure they don't renew my contract
all was good until the tech made me sign the document where it said that I will start * new contract
I asked him and his response was : this is to certify that I installed the alarm at the new place, and that nothing changed
Well that was all lies!
