Very disappointed in ADTI have had ADT for my home apprx years, then rented a house for a year and transferred my service to that addressI was never able to properly SET UP service on computer, so, never, really ever had communication with ADTWe moved apprx months ago due to a diagnosis of breast cancerBills mounted and I no longer could afford it, ADT, no matter what, continues to DRaW on my checking account and OVERDRAWING that account for a remaining months of a contract! I get Alarm calls on that house, that is dangerous! I no longer live there nor should I have authorization to respond to that Security Call! Dangerous!
So, ADT will not change the way the last months are collected due to a fault not my own, so I have to find a way to pay a balance of $150.00+/- !! Seriously!? You have gotten PLENTY from me! I TRIED to move my service but Landlord does not allow! GeeWhiz! I see why! NO heart!

Fast talking salesperson doesn't listen Keeps insisting that I will not be charged anything, but wants to take a credit card just to verify that I am a serious customer When I ask for a receipt, she throws me into an automated system The next person that answers says they don't give receipts I asked for a manager who refused to give his last name, so I asked to cancel the transaction He rudely says, "We have a recording of you authorizing the payment." I tell him that his salesperson indicated I would not be charged and he tells me that they will refund me in 10-days He didn't even bother to ask me for my name or reference number
I repeatedly told the salesperson that I was not comfortable, and she kept assuring me that I could cancel when the technician arrived if I was not happy and I would not be charged anything Once I told the manager to cancel the transaction, I called my bank and the bank representative said that they immediately processed the payment
My bank will dispute the charges and I have to cancel my credit card because I don't trust these people It's bad business to ask for payment and refuse to provide a payment confirmation and refuse to give your name

I called the regular ADT hotline and a man by the name of Carlos took my personal information and told me he would have to run a credit check in order to provide a quote for a home security system I told him that I did not want a credit check run and that the advertisement on ADT website indicates no such thing for obtaining a free quote He then went on to tell me that no one was available to give me a quote and that he has to send someone to my home I told him that I am not interested in that and that ADT lost my business, upon hanging up with him I called back and spoke to a Scott in supoort who told me he can have my information removed from their database but cannot send me any type of confirmation that the information was removed When I asked to speak to his manager he transferred me to sales where another rep told me no manager is available

I have spent hours over the past 48h trying to have an urgent safety concern and now a cancelation of my service dealt with but I can't get a response

ADT continued to bill me after I cancelled my account due to a moveAfter I called to fix that, the customer service rep confirmed that service was cancelled, however billing was notThere was no contract in place, so she admitted this was a mistake on their behalf
She transferred me to the account care department, where the agent began to question me whether months ago I was asked for password, then processed to tell me that I never called to cancel!!! The account care rep refused to reverse the charges and advised me to petition ADT corporate to open a dispute

Worst customer service, everLook into your contract as well as searching online for lawsuits against them for stating a timeframe different from the contract they have you signAlso if anything goes wrong with your system, they aren't the ones who will fix it but rather they contract with several "authorized providers" that are more incompetent than their company isThey are patheticThe companies cannot even get it straight who services what and who takes care of accounts/contracts/billing/etcI used the system for months of a month contract because it is GARBAGEI've even been hung up on from their "authorizing provider" named DefenderDon't waste you moneyI wish I could give zero stars

I have been trying to contact the Canadian branch of ADT customer support department for over two monthsI have not been successful to speak with a single agent and have received no responses to my online form submissions requesting a call back

I cancelled the monitoring from ADT alarm systems due to financial problemsI'm on disability and only get about $900/monthThey still took a payment out after me cancelling them(direct withdrawal $19.75/month.) I was having problem with someone stealing things off of my property so I called ADT to put cameras on my house to catch the person or persons who is taking the things off of my propertyThis is what I told ADT but they put motion camera that only last for second and is off for minutesThey did not tell me this until something was stolen off my property that is when they told me about the camera so I feel they didn't keep their word and I should be able to cancel my contract

We are being build for install and service fees when service was not installed
ADT came out Feb 10th to discuss a home security system We we were not sure we wanted a system but if we did, we stated that we wanted the wired special for $ We had no time that day for the install so we asked the ADT person to leave All the ADT sales guy cared about was getting in trouble with his company Service was not installed but equipment was left at our house No contract was signed and no agreement for install or service was signed We saw on our credit card that the company billed us so we called soon after Feb 10th and were told by LaQuisha ID XXXXX that we would be credited back for everything with ADT and the account was cancelled On Feb 24th we spoke with Dana at *** and Cierra the Accounts Services manager and were told we would be credited the $install fee plus the monthly service fees incurred We were told that we would be credited back for everything charged
