I gave the ADT rep a check for $as a deposit ADT used the routing number and account # off the check and withdrew $from my account Paul [redacted] from the [redacted] ADT office in [redacted] called me to see if wanted to reactivate my current security system I told him that I would if I could sign a paper contract and be billed monthly by paper bills by way of the USPS I told him that I wanted to pay by check; not by direct debit or EFT He told me that he could do all the above and so he came out on 3/8/ I signed a contract with him The contract had the area filled out that says "To send me a bill" He said that he needed $as a deposit I gave him a check for $ We planned to do the installation on 3/15/ Between the day I signed and the 15th, I called Brian and asked if I could add keypads to the order He said yes and that it would cost $ He never said that he would need half of that $as a deposit I kept wondering why he

I am a new subscriber and have called customer service and the local fee/permit branch line now four times to resolve a fee labeled "electricity activation fee" I had free installation and use solar power in my home so there is no fee or permit required for "electricity activation" This is a complete scam and no one has been able to tell what it's for despite many, many calls Shame on you

cancelled services with ADT, march 8th 2016,as per contract with days notice,official cancel date was 4/08/2016,since then have been sent multiple bills with different amounts,have paid what I owe off.now I receive for a charge of for something that supposedly happened on 10/16/ 2015,months ago,was never billed for that back in 2015,was not on final bills,except after the fact.Have tried talking via phone with ADT cannot resolve issue,please HELP Product_Or_Service: security services

This was the letter I sent to ADT and that they received on 7/30/as of 8/30/I have not received a response: Your system was partially installed on April 17, and has never been completed even after text to the installer and two phone calls to XXX XXX-XXXX that were never returned Clearly this is not as represented Therefore I wish to cancel our agreement If you cannot even complete the installation or respond to my repeated attempts for attention to this, how in the world can you protect my house?

We have been with ADT for at least years My complaint about them is that there is almost no way to get out of the contract My husband's job has moved us around but we were in Austin, Texas for years Apparently after years our contract was renewed for another years but we were moved to Las Vegas after years in Austin So then we were told we had years left on our contract and had no choice but to continue the contract so another year contract was started We had to pay a large amount for equipment installation again Paid that in Austin as well After years in Las Vegas my husband's job (government contractor) transferred us to Altamonte Springs, FL Again paid a large amount to once again for equipment installation Now we are moving again to Deland, FL and my husband spoke to ADT who said we had to pay $for equipment and $at install plus $install fee I did call back because I was furious and the guy worked with me giving enough discounts for relocation to where I only had to pay $which I appreciate However I am not happy that my year contract starts over again All this money I'm paying for equipment, where is it going? I'm told we own the equipment Really then why can't I take it with me and why do I have to keep paying for it? Why do I have to start my contract over each time? I don't want to use ADT AT&T offers better deals but I'm stuck in this contract It's a scam

I have been a customer of ADT for the past yearsPrior to my contract expiring on June 2018, I was going through a hardship and was given a discountI could no longer afford the payment and closed my account on 08/04/I was never told that it will take days to stop the direct withdrawal from my checking accountConsequently on 08/when my account was charged again I called ADT and requested a refundI was then sent an email about the request and told that it will take to business days for the refund to my accountNot only I did not get the refund in my checking but I was also sent another email showing an amount that is to be charged to my checking account on the coming 09/15/ I have the email as proof and can forward them to you at any timeI am demanding a refund to my account from the charge on 08/15/and my account in my opinion was closed as of 08/04/ Product_Or_Service: home security

It is about my elderly mother [redacted] who has ADT Security My mother [redacted] has been with ADT over four yearsDue to problem with air conditioning we found out that ADT did not install wiring for their system according to codeIn order to get new air conditioning to code ADT needed to move their wiring that was installed improperlythe ADT system quit working and we called them to come and fix it and they said it would be over a week before they could come to fix itMy mom is a heart patient who has life linethey had record of this and I explained the necessity of it needing to be fixed immediatelyThey said they would charge $an hour because of after hoursThey said we were to blame for the problem installationI have pictures to show incorrect installation that show why I feel they are responsible for the outageThe air conditioning workers agree with me and were shocked by such poor installationthe city also came out and said it was a fire hazardBe

Customer service is terrible Service techs arrive without their own ladders and have to use yours The Office of Executive Customer Relations, particularly [redacted] doesn't return emails or phone calls If you're a customer, switch If you're not a customer, don't become one You're just a number to them

I was connected to ADT sales after ONLY calling to set up new service for electric in my family's new residenceI mentioned I was undecided but would like to get pricing since my husband had shown interest in the product, and I also receive a discount from my employerI had told the man originally I only wanted pricing, and I couldn't be on the line long since I was on the clock at work and was just about to go back from a short breakHe mentioned the call would only take about minutes and I could get pricing before the end of the callI say okHe continues to talk promotions, to which I let him know which option would be bestAfter that has been decided I again ask for pricing since I do not have much timeHe snidely remarks, " Well we're talking nowIt should only be two more minutes" I again say okWorking in customer service myself I was not trying to be rude to a man who was only doing his jobHe then proceeds to ask for an install dateI tell him, " Again, I am not calling to set up serviceI would only like pricing." He then again asks me if I would like to choose an optional install date if it doesn't agree or we choose not to I can cancel I am starting to get frustrated at this point and I again for the fourth time I would just like pricingAfter realizing he wasn't going to make a sale then and there he quickly gave me the pricing for two options discussed and a callback numberThank [redacted] ! After the set up for my electric took less then or so minutes, I was lead through a near minute sales pitchThroughout the rest of my day at work I noticed a missed call on my phoneAS SOON AS I AM LEAVING THE BUILDING FROM WORK I again receive a call from the same numberI answer it's a rep from ADT asking if he could finish set up, and asks me why I did not complete install date on the original callI very bluntly tell him that, " I initially called to only set up my electric, the sales rep was very pushy, and the fact that I am receiving this second call within hours of my first makes me not want want the service even more." I asked them to not call me again and if I wanted service I would call to set it upI was interested in this product until salesmen got ahold of my call, and CUSTOMER SERVICE went out the windowAgain, I receive a discount through my employer, and my spouse was interested in this productAfter this I will gladly forfeit the discount for another customer service friendly companyYou should listen to the customer above all else!!

I am being billed on my credit card for a contract that has ended and I have tried multiple times to get the company to end the service We installed an ADT alarm system three years agoThere were no problems until the contract expired and it has been impossible to cancel their billing my credit card and they are threatening to turn me over to collections and report me to the credit bureaus I just want tthem to stop billing me on a contract that has ended

On January 2017, my alarm at my home in North Carolina activated at 6:40AMWe were not at homeMy phone was texted and we received a call but were not awake to answerWhen we awoke and checked our phone, we contacted ADTThey informed us that the police were called but they were unable to contact the policeThere was no further action taken by their operator and no further communication with usWe were told this at approximately 10:30, almost hours after the alarm activatedUnbelievable

THIS COMPANY HAS OVERCHARGED ME, SENT THE POLICE TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, WAIVED MY FEE THEN ADDED IT! THEN I MOVED AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER SAID THAT WHICH IS NOT TRUE!!!! EVEN NOW THAT I HAVE MOVED THEY CAME TO INSTALL MY SYSTEM, SOMEONE WALKED INTO MY HOUSE AND THEY SENT THE COPS TO MY OLD ADDRESS! ITS THE WORST SYSTEM EVER! I COMPLAINED AND COMPLAIEND AND TOLD THEM I WANTED MY ACCOUNT CANCELLED AND TO TAKE THE CONTRACT FEE OFF! THEY NEVER RESPOND ON TIME! THEY HAVE STILLLLLLL MY OLD ADDRESS ! HOW GOOD OR SAFE AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL!! AND AFTER ARGUING SO MUCH! THEY FINALLY DID IT! HOWEVER!!! THEY REFUSED TO TELL ME THEY HAD WAIVED THE FEE UNTIL I GOT MY SERVICES MOVED SO THEY FORCED ME INTO SIGNING A NEW CONTRACT! WHICH WAS NEVER TOLD TO ME IN THE BEGINNING! I HAVE SPOKEN TO A MILLION REPRESENTATIVES AND THEY HAVE SAID TO ME
