Called to cancel services after contract expiration and was forced to pay for one additional month of monitoring (@$44.99/month)
I called ADT on 6/5/at 9:36AM to cancel services after my contract had expired on 4/22/I was informed that I would be required to keep/pay (cost is $44.99/month) for the security monitoring until 7/1/I had already dissembled their security equipment and was no longer going to be using their servicesThey informed me that it was in the contract that I give them 30-days' notice to cancel, even though the contract had expiredCommon sense would however contradict a 30-day termination requirement as it only took one day to sign for security services, install the equipment, and take my moneyThey did not provide me with any other alternatives when I asked for a prorated costWhen I told them that I would be leaving business reviews wherever I could, to portray ADT's conniving behavior, the corporate representative threatened me; she to

ADT misrepresented themselves at the point of saleThe sales Repsold the alarm system inclusive of the ability to remotely turn the house light on
At the point of sale inside our home, the rep advised we would be receiving an alarm system which included the ability to remotely turn lights on and off via an app A contract was signed in the home based upon what the sales rep had advised and the manner in which he had represented the product At installation we were told we had been advised of this feature but had declined this service - we'd actually stated "that's awesome!"We're now told that the contract we signed and the monthly premium does not include this service and we'd have to pay a higher premium and have additional hardware fitted at a higher price Had the sale and purchase not been misrepresented, we would have looked at alternatives available in our area, such as Xfinity, who offer a system of similar like, kind and quality, including the light turning on and off

apparently brinks opted me into a year extension I did not know about when I moved and are asking for to cancel my service, saying that I have months left on my contract, this is insane, I used monitronics, I did not want Brinks when Brinks purchased them I don't want to continue doing business with this comapnylI don't know why anyone would want to do business with this companyI would like to be included on the class action lawsuit that i'm sure will occur against them

even though I was not under contract, I followed their guidelines and cancelled a month in advancethey are continuing to bill us illegally every mo

ADT has been contacted by me on several occasions when I had the service installed they failed to take off the old alarm detectors on Doors and did not replace we went on vacation and my home was left unsecured due to their mistake I brought this to the attention of ADT and they did not ever take care of the issue also they advertise a $Visa gift card at time of purchasing their product it has been over two years and I have never received any gift card at all and when I asked about it they give me no answers they are advertising my home was still left unsecured after Relentless call to them and I have chosen to cancel due to breach of contract now they are trying to get me for nearly $for breaching their contract due to their failure to uphold their advertising and their system I have also enduring a $alarm charge from the city of Phoenix because ADT failed to contact me that my alarm had allegedly gone off they contacted the police to come out after I had turn

I have been an ADT customer since and I am in the process of finishing construction of a new custom homeDuring this project, I figured I would get ADT to pre-install wiring for the security system which they charge $However, they had poor communication with my contractorThey have been late in several appointmentsAnd when they finally installed the system, they did not even use many of the existing wires they preinstalledInstead they placed ugly bulky wireless sensorsSO what's the point of pre-wiring? I also ordered z-wave light switches for my Pulse system which they had a hard time fulfilling (poor supply chain management)

ADT should not have an A+ rating w/ Revdex.com w/ a 76% customer satisfaction! Their management is unresponsive to problems in the field with installation & billingResponded to ad for $27.99/ mth for wireless security protection, plus equipment charges, all charged to my credit cardWhen I got credit card bill days later, monthly charges had almost doubled to $/mth
Called Corporate Office & told them to pick up equipment & cancel agreement since it was NOT in accordance to my understandingBegan getting harassing phone calls 2-times a day threatening to trash my credit if I didn't pay & offered no cancellation plan, saying equipment, which I have disconnected & offered to return it to them if they don't come to pick it up, belongs to me
Fortunately, my credit card reversed the bogus charges & entered fiasco into dispute
ADT is guilty of bait & switch and scammingNo company with 25% of deals that turn sour( quoted from rep with ADT) should ever enjoy a BOGUS rating of A+!!!
Revdex.com should be ashamed to over-rate a company practicing these types of actions,
since it lowers the integrity and dependability of accreditation!

ADT failed to cancel service as requested
On June 25, I called ADT to cancel service because I had chosen to use Xfinity Home insteadDuring the call, I asked for two things - to cancel service, and to immediately ignore any alarms associated with our system because of the hardware change-out taking place Clearly, the second request was honored because there have been no alarms Apparently, however, the cancellation request was not logged because there has been another deduction from my checking account for service I called to inquire and was reminded ADT has a 30-day cancellation lead time, so one additional charge after June is legitimate However, the representative on the call said that my original cancellation request was not logged, so the 30-day cancellation window starts today - setting me up for another monthly chargeI feel this is inappropriate My service address is Goose Creek Ct Indianapolis In XXXXX

Worst company I ever dealt withThey misled me to get me to sign a contract then when I called to cancel it took three hours on the phone to even find the people I could cancel withFinally they took my money to pay off the balance of my contract
Then after they have my payoff money they have since charged my credit card twiceNo response to my outreach and I don't want to call again because I don't want to spend three hours on the phone
Switched to another provider and had no issues

As a new home owner, I made the mistake of letting myself get talked into buying a home security system by an ADT sales representative who came to my doorI am writing this review in the hope of preventing others from making the same mistake I didThe contract I now find myself in and the monthly payments I will need to make for three years is completely my own fault for making a poor decision as a consumerI have found my ADT service to be over priced and unnecessaryMy advice for new home owners: When an ADT sales representative comes to your house, don't worry yourself over talk of bumper keys and burglaries, different contract options, and taking advantage of the new home owner "deal" before it is too late simply don't answer the door

I have moved from the home (in **) in August of that I purchased ADT for, and another homeowner lives there nowThe home I moved into after that home (**) was not able to have an ADT system placedI was told I could not cancel services and had to continue to pay for a product I was not using and could not useI have since, Feb 2016, moved into a third home (**), owned by my grandparents, and still cannot use the services I have paid forADT is insisting I continue to pay the bill but no services are being rendered
I am also suspicious that ADT is being paid by me and the current homeowner of the first home (**) mentioned

They overcharge me and refuse to refund me the difference because I cancel the service

On June 6, I noticed a charge from adt for $96.89, I called to inquire and the customer service agent said that the change didn't go though and I got charged the regular $plus the difference from the previous monthHe said he will refund $to make it $and said that adt could raise their prices on me at any time without notifiing me, I said then that I just wanted to give the day to cancel the service, he procesed the request

I purchased a home in shawnee, kansas that had ADT equipment left in the home I was told by adt sales rep that everything was in place and nothing needed to be done except sign for a remote that goes on the key ring and agree to the monthly payment which I did and paid faithfully for years My wife has alzheimers and her condition deteriorated rapidly and I had to put her in alzheimers nursing home facility after years I sold my home because it was just me I left all the adt equipment in the house just as I had found it After moving to a senior housing facility which has security, I did not need any security service ADT sent me a bill for full year of service because they said that I had a year contract The only thing I signed for was to agree to the monthly payment and receipt of the remote for my key chain At least, that is what the sales rep told me I could not keep the service since I sold my home I cannot use the service and they still have all the equip

Transferred service to new home and was charged almost $
I have been with ADT for over a yearI acquired services with them in July of in my apartmentI was very happy with my services and decided to keep them when I purchased my new homeSo I transferred my services and I was charged over $disconnect fee even though I kept my servicesI am angry and very disappointedI feel like I have been robbed by the people that are suppose to help protect me and my family

ADT has called our house times on 05/16/2016, even though we told them the first time they called that we weren't interested
They called from both numbers as well as local area code to discuss the origin of the call

We have been with Adt since February we have had nothing but horrible issues with them as well as our alarm system

ADT is refusing to provide me with one of their policies in writing regarding alarms and charges from police dept/municipality
On January 18th I had yet another alarm due to malfunctioning equipmentThe supervisor I spoke with on that day was supposed to send me (via mail) something in writing stating that I would not be responsible for any charges from my municipality or police department due to alarms that are not my fault She informed me that ADT would pay any charges incurred I never received the paperwork so I called again in February requesting the information again I was told they would request that it be expedited since I didn't receive it the first time I called today, March 14th for the 3rd time yet again requesting the information I was told by supv that they aren't able to send anything I have been waiting for months for this paperwork The first two people put in requests/tickets to get this into to me and now they are refusing Paying

I called adt sometime back in dec for security cameras the install was set up and the man Luis came the next day to install a panel and provided me with one indoor camera, when I asked him when was the other tech coming to install the adt cameras he told that they gut would be there but that he was on another job, *** then proceeded to show me the cameras he had installed at his home, I told im that it was nice and I like the way the pictures shows on the phone, he proceeded to tell me that they weren't adt cameras but that they were swann cameras, he told me to buy the swann cameras cause the adt cameras were a *** and that when I get the swann cameras to call him and he will come and install them
when I got the cameras I called him and he told me that after he finishes his side jobs he would come and install the swann cameras for me
weeks passed and I kept calling him and he did not answer, finally when he did he said he was in the hospital with the flu and would be here in a few weeks to install them so I waited
then on last monday someone was supposed to come and install them being it was approved for the cameras to be installed or so I was toldi and stayed home from work and waited all day and no one showed up
I keep calling adt and defender for help now *** manager *** is basically calling me a liar and said that *** did not tell me to get the swann cameras that it was another brand call ali or something like that , well I can assure you , he did tell me swann, I know nothing about security cameras, all I want is some resolve, I don't appreciate being told I am a liar and I don't appreciate being taken advantage of all I want is a little piece of mind knowing my home is somewhat secureif you can look into my file and see all the times I have called and the notes that are supposed to be in the system you can see for yourself, please im begging you , please help

In late March 2018, I did not disarm the system and opened the back doorProtection called and told me that thee was carbon monoxide present and we should evacuate the houseI asked them to send a technician to review the system because opening the back door should not lead to carbon monoxide alarmThe situation did not make sense
The technician arrived a few days laterDuring the review of the system it was found out:
- One monoxide detector was not installed
- The wiring was done improperly in such way that upon opening of the door the carbon positive monoxide alarm was triggered

I called the business on April 6th to cancel their service, my contract was completed.They wanted to know why, so I explained that from the time of installation that there were issues but they never fixed them even after multiple callsThey proceeded to try and get me to continue their services by offering discounts which would put me into a new contractNo matter how many times in a minute conversation, they did not cancel it and then automatically took the May payment from my checking accountWhen I called them about it, they again tried to continue to harasse me wanting me to keep my serviceAgain I told them noThen I was told it would take days for the payment to be put back into my account
