ADT is refusing to provide me with one of their policies in writing regarding alarms and charges from police dept/municipality
On January 18th I had yet another alarm due to malfunctioning equipmentThe supervisor I spoke with on that day was supposed to send me (via mail) something in writing stating that I would not be responsible for any charges from my municipality or police department due to alarms that are not my fault She informed me that ADT would pay any charges incurred I never received the paperwork so I called again in February requesting the information again I was told they would request that it be expedited since I didn't receive it the first time I called today, March 14th for the 3rd time yet again requesting the information I was told by supv that they aren't able to send anything I have been waiting for months for this paperwork The first two people put in requests/tickets to get this into to me and now they are refusing Paying

We cancelled our service on July 20, on the phone with ADT Representative "***", however, the company continues to bill us including late charges
We have called again to cancel, however, each representative says they cannot handle cancellations and they will transfer us to the correct departmentAfter the transfer is made the next representative says they are not the right department to cancel and they will transfer our call to the correct departmentThis continues for transfers on one callWhen we asked "***" why we keep getting transferred to the wrong department his reply was "human error"Obviously ADT will not let you cancel and they just transfer your calls all overOn the ADT website at adt.com it states that to cancel you must call them at XXX-XXX-XXXX, however, when we call we just keep getting transferred to the "correct department" which then informs us that they are not the correct department to cancel and that thy will transfer our call to the correct dep

I used ADT security services from May until May t which time I cancelled them and signed another year contract with another company.they have billed me for not continuing with them, I do not have a contract with them and feel is harrasment.they are trying to ruin my credit and refuse to talk other than threaten me to pay this absurd amount, I am fully current on all monthly charges as they were came out of my checking account monthly

DO NOT USE ADTI have had the worst exerience with customer service and then getting into a dealer disputeTheir customer service employees are trained to upsell you and force you into signing thingsMy customer service rep told me he had minutes left on his shift and I needed to sign the document before then
Word to the wise: if you are using an old system, double check if it is through an authorized dealer and not ADT itselfI got in a dealer dispute for not knowing better and was punished by having to wait to get my system installedInstead of using their local authorized dealers as an extension of themselves, ADT is greedy and will try to take the customers back even if they haven't signed anything

I initiated a contract with ADT in at the address *** *** *** *** ** XXXXX At the time of contract initiation, I specifically asked if the service was moveable without additional charges I was told yes this would not be an issue When I moved service to *** *** *** ** XXXXX, I received different equipment, different charges and was required to sign an additional year contract The fact that I would need to sign an additional contract was not disclosed upon signing the original contract My service at *** *** has not functioned properly for several months, and the Pulse has never consistently functioned I made 3-calls to ADT and was given several "suggestions" for the non-functional service and reasons why the pulse would not pick up Regardless, the system did not workI have simply paid the bill and avoided additional lengthy phone calls to ADT, which ended in fruitless results At this time, I am cancelling my ADT service and asking that

Never ever get ADTThey're full of scams and lies and fake promises they can't keep just to make you get stuck with their contractADT is a scam and lied to me no just one but peopleThe Qute guy *** ID # XXXXX liesd to me saying I got approved for outside cameras, so when they came to install them the people who came to install them said they had no idea but made a few phone calls and said I got approved and said that they'll be here in weeksThe phone call never came from *** phone number ending in "2840." I tried reaching him several times and he blocked my numberI'm mad and upset at everyone at ADT for their uncorpperation and making promise to keep you from canceling a contractThe managers in the office *** ID# XXXXX hasn't called me back either it's been about weeksHighly upset with ADTThey are a scam, advertising and non compliant with the contract and the promise they madeThey will lie to get anyone into getting a contractI DON'T recommend them to anyone!!!!!!

Do yourself a favor and stay awayADT does not inform you that they are setting you up through a third partyI was planning to sell my home soon and asked about that before installingI was told that s long as the new homeowner set up a system the services would just transfer with no penalties to meHowever, when it came time for that their story changedApparently, ADT sells back your contract to safe streets when you cancel and safe streets is a shady company with nothing but bad reviewsThey are trying to charge me dollars even though the new homeowner set up services

After canceling the contract, received a follow up call two weeks later that manipulated the reinstatement of the contract
After several phone calls in attempt to cancel my contract due to the fact that they did not have the original contract I finally got them to cancel the contract and stop charging me feesTwo weeks later there was a follow up call to present with a new dealI asked why he was asking for all my personal information and he said it was just protocol and he asked if he could share a deal I agreed to listen by saying OK to the conversation and to email with information because I did not have time at that moment since I was with my kidsThat apparently in turn reinstated my contract for two yearsNo terms wherever discussed or agreed on and it was never clear that I was reinstating the contractI was with kids and ask to get this apparent information by emailI never recived updated terms or a contract renewal email of any sort

We had our personal property stolen and our ADT system failed to activate and record ADT now refuses to allow us to cancel service without penalty
We have had ADT Pulse products at our home for over a year and a half We have never had any reason to believe we were not fully protected by these cameras However, in June, both of our vehicles were entered and approximately $of personal property was taken Our ADT camera, which was sold to us a motion-activated camera with night vision, failed to activate and record the thief We know the cameras were working because they recorded us the night before in the driveway at our vehicles and the morning after actually discovering the theft We even have ourselves and the police on camera that same morning with him investigating the vehicles and taking the report The police officer advised us that IF the camera had recorded, they could have posted the video to social media and likely caught the perpetrator Since the camera FAILE

They have an outdated and overly difficult cancellation policy to ensure that you are stuck with the serviceI canceled the service in August of this year, and they told me I would have to wait a month for it to take effectLo and behold we are in the month of October and they are saying that my account is still active They are basically a scam at this point

I wanted to transfer service when I moved and the charge increased 400% once I moved

The company is not an easy company to work with on technical issues, billing or contracts They will NOT work with you if you are under contract and threaten legal issues

Fast talking salesperson doesn't listen Keeps insisting that I will not be charged anything, but wants to take a credit card just to verify that I am a serious customer When I ask for a receipt, she throws me into an automated system The next person that answers says they don't give receipts I asked for a manager who refused to give his last name, so I asked to cancel the transaction He rudely says, "We have a recording of you authorizing the payment." I tell him that his salesperson indicated I would not be charged and he tells me that they will refund me in 10-days He didn't even bother to ask me for my name or reference number
I repeatedly told the salesperson that I was not comfortable, and she kept assuring me that I could cancel when the technician arrived if I was not happy and I would not be charged anything Once I told the manager to cancel the transaction, I called my bank and the bank representative said that they immediately processed the payment
My bank will dispute the charges and I have to cancel my credit card because I don't trust these people It's bad business to ask for payment and refuse to provide a payment confirmation and refuse to give your name

I sold my home back in August and have since been trying to get my ADT services canceled at the addressADT will not allow us to cancel our services without a large fee ensuing unless we can convince the new homeowners to start services as wellAny time we try to call and talk to their Customer Services; however, they provide little to no information on this situationEven though we are no longer able to use services that they are supposed to be providing in our contract we are not able to get our contract cancelled

If you are not safe from extortion by your security system do you really think you are secure with them in your home? I would research security companies that have better reviews before doing business with ADTIn my opinion any company that has to hide behind tricks and contacts to make money is *** and incapable of making money legitimately

First of all, why has ADT been rated At when 95% of the comments are negative? I was told that my ADT contract could be transferred to new ownersI specifically asked this question numerous times as my home was on the marketI had it installed May & home sold in Dec The new owners were told that my contract could not be transferred & they would have to sign a three year contractThey don't want to, so I have called numerous times to get assistanceI even spoke to a supervisor after a long hold timeThey are rigid & will not admit I was given wrong informationNot only am I out $plus for installation but will now have to pay over $1,to get out of my contractPlease use another no contract companyMy realtor told me this has been an ongoing problem with home sales specific to ADTIf you have had a bad experience with ADT please post on numerous sites to bring attention to the company & maybe business loss will result in different practices

I called ADT on May 24, to cancel my accountThey were incredibly difficult to work with, at times refusing me access to my own account in the name of "security" when they realized I was canceling my serviceI escalated my complaint to a manager and suddenly I was able to access my account no problemI spent nearly an hour on the phone negotiating the cancelation of serviceThey require an additional month of payment after service is canceled which is ridiculous in my opinion, but that is their policy and I agreed to pay itThey notified me that my service was canceled and that I would receive a final confirmation of June payment (the additional month after cancelation) by the first or second week in JulyI did not receive this confirmation; instead I received a bill for July that they automatically charged my credit card for and which was unauthorizedThere is no mention anywhere on my account regarding the cancelation of serviceThey provide no location to remove my cred

I've contacted this company several times via email, fax & phone calls in reference to $overdraft that were charged on my bank & $overdraft fee that they've added to my billing ADT is operated in a theft manner This is not the first time I've had to go through this with this company I submitted a post-dated payment of $to be drafted through my bank account on 9/29/ ADT process the payment immediately on 9/23/without my consent which resulted in an overdraft on my account My bank charged me $fee and ADT also charged my account $fee This stealing company owes me a total of $ I have emailed & faxed them my bank statement showing the overdraft But they have totally ignored it
