They refuse to cancel my service and continue to send bills
I have been trying to cancel my ADT service repeatedly and they will not cancel the service We have had nothing but problems with our system and after several service calls, it is still never worked properly ADT continues to send me a bill for service

Service failure and never called when alarm went offtold that my system is not even connected to ADT by Aqua
I came home on August 19th to find that my alarm had been set off and I was never contacted by ADTI called the office and spoke with a woman named Aqua, after running several test, she told me that there is no signal coming from my house to ADTI was then on hold for several minutes and was told that she set an emergency appointment to have someone come out on Saturday to repair the system and that they would call me within hoursTHAT NEVER HAPPENEDI called back to the office on Saturday and spoke with several people and was told by the supervisor that I would have to now pay to have someone come out to fix itI told them that I was not going to pay for something that is ADT fault and that a manager would call me, to date no one has called and I discontinued my services and I want my money backthis is my 2nd filing with the Revdex.com

Scan company that takes advantage of the elderlyThey advertised monthly but once they have your credit card will charge monthly and will never cancel your service no matter how many times you call to request it doneThey will hang up on you repeatedly in the long processTotally irresponsible company with no ethics

I know there are steps to follow as a customer to contact ADT of problems with the service (and there are many problems with the service and lack of service) and equipment I have tried for over six months to follow those steps; however, your company employees do not follow through with their promises Please review the following chronological time frame that I am listing below
If your company is unwilling or unable to even return my calls when I talk to them, then I need to change providers and request a refund of what I have paid for the service at three different locations that I own Please let me know who will contact me and when I have been more than reasonable, as you will see from the notes in your own system, but I have done all I am willing to do If I need to obtain legal representatio

It is a big Cheat! I have to pay $to get out of the contract? The sales guy promoted in such a way that ADT has NO contract for $27.99/monthThe service guy came after a few days, quoted $and I said NO, that I was told it was only $for installation so, why $1400? Then he brought it down to the $installation fee and said since I don't have a phone it will be $52.99/monthWhat? Anyways, I signed the paper and there was no contract and I asked him several times if there was a contract? He said there is NO contract and I could cancel anytime
After two months, I got letters and emails saying "the original document got damaged." Got calls after calls even at workThe agent asked me, Could you please sign the document because the paper document is "illegible" to read your name and all we are doing is replacing the document"I believed her! Thought ADT is a nationwide service, reputable, and they don't cheat peopleMy only mistake is, I didn't have time to read itBut, before I signed, I asked if there were any hidden charges or a contractShe said NOSigned it! Now, I wanted to cancel and they are asking for 75% buyout fee, which is $This is such a scam
I called several time and everyone in ADT has an attitude because they are dealing with same kind of problemA customer service lady told me, "You've signed the contract and it's your fault, now you have to pay! Or else it will go to a collection agent and they will come after your property" etc! Such a drama! Now, I'm forced to pay $or I have to write another contract for three years
If I would've know I wouldn't even opt for a service where I've to sign a contract for years and 75% buyout? No way! There are many options for usWhy would I even do this? I feel so bad and it's a mental stress tooFinally paid 400$ after several calls!
If ADT can sell their business by telling upfront that their is a yrs contract and you have to pay 75% of rest of the period if you want to cancel/terminate that would help the customerPeople move!

I heard from a co-worker that ADT was affordableShe had a special$to sign up, and $a monthI submitted request for a quote, and the agent stayed on the line with me for minutes, chatting me up in friendly mannerShe told me I could have security for $up front, and $a monthThen, she signed me up for a visitI was told the guy arrived at my neighborhood more than an hour before he came to my houseThen, he started to chat me up about all of the optionsI told him I didn't appreciate high pressure for a higher packageI told him that on $an hour, I can't afford a higher packageHe wasn't too friendly after I asked him not to pressure meIndeed, he did pressure me into purchasing a package I can't affordThis was in opposition to what the agent said when she called meNo matter how much I tried to explain that I couldn't afford more than $a month, he insisted on installing more than I could afford, and then when I begged him to leave, called his boss and tried to continue talking me into "the deal" by saying they were getting me a special on peripheralsFinally, after excruciating hours, he leftI was sick to my stomach all night alongThe numbers that were on my contract were anything but affordable, but he assured me I had days to cancelWhen I was able to call today to try and cancel, I was transferred around to many other numbers before I was put on holdAfter holding hour, I was transferred again, and the agent who answered said I had lost my place in a person queueHow long does it take to cancel this ridiculous service? hours later, I am still holding, and am disgusted by what I am having to go through to cancel a service after having it for only hoursIt's obvious that this is part of the high pressure to force me to keep this serviceWho's going to protect me from ADT???????

I was a customer with Protectron and then ADT-Protectron from October to October at the address *** *** *** *** *** *** I moved from that address on October 15th to XXXXX XXXth *** *** *** *** on October 31st, Prior to moving from the *** residence, I contacting a member from ADT-Protectron and asked them to discontinue service on October 15th, Following the move, and when reviewing information from a bank account that I no longer use as my primary account, I noticed that a charge from "ADT-Protectron" occurred for the months of November and December 2015, and from "ADT" for the months January-April ($total)In April 2016, I contacted ADT and asked why I continue to be charged when a) I canceled the service, and b) I no longer own t

This has been an absolute horrible experience I have had nothing but "technical" problems with my home security system and even worse customer service My system has had communication errors, the system has been sending alarms to ADT and the police department when the alarm system was not even ARMED...we were getting multiple calls from ADT and visits from the police checking to see if we were "okay" Defender (sub contractor to ADT) scheduled a technician to come out to address the issues...the technician was scheduled to arrive Dec between the hours of 3pm and 5pm I had a person over the age of (my son) take off work and waited at the house for the technician to not show up The tech called me minutes after the service window to inform me he would not be able to make it I called Defender the following day to discuss possibly cancelling my service with ADT only to be told I had days to cancel after activation and I was bound to them for the next years I asked to elevate the issue to a manager who stated the same but offered to try and rectify the situation by having a tech come out Dec and would give me months service at no chargeThe tech came out (on time) and informed us that our system works but due to an outage in our area we have no communication if the alarm system is to be activated This area outage apparently has been going on since our system was installed and there is no way to determine when the problem will be resolved to sum it up we have an ADT home security system that may or may not work when the alarm is set or not set We have no communication with ADT or the authorities in the event our home is invaded or burglarized and yet I am bound by contract to keep this "non existent" service for the next years...hopefully we never need it but how can my family and I rest at night knowing our "protection" is not existent? This company has really left a horrible impression on my and my family

We have been Monitronics customers for over years without a contract They recently were acquired by Brinks We called to cancel June 8, 2018, and were told we would have to sign papers to confirm We received these by email and returned them June We were charged nearly a full month ($vs $54) on June I called to complain and was told this was company policy I received nothing in writing about this policy when Brinks acquired Monitronics The wait time on the phone was lengthy Charging customers for services not rendered seems highly unethical to me Even my cable company doesn't do this!

I have been trying to cancel my ADT subscription but ADT neglected to respond until I quit paying the monthly bill

I am write this review of this company for being deceptive pricing of this their servicesI was told that their service will cost $dollars a month, and it became nearly $a monthThey told me in person that the equipment was going to cost $In the fine print, it became payment of $totaling $By doing so, this company is raising costs by hiding it in small detailsOnce you realize you see the next payment, and call the company, you are over the ability to return equipment forcing you to pay costs that you had no ability to adjust cost and decided if the costs was really neededA person getting a service needs to total clearly the costs being charge to them, and not hidden in fine print

Nest installation
I originally ordered back in march adt pulse services for my brand new townhome Part of the reason why we hired adt was Bc they offered the nest thermostat to go alongWith their security service The installer and electrician came to our home which has a brand new hvac unit after we paid dollars upfront for installation and equipment The electrician blew a fuse and could not even get the nest to turn on and then installed a generic thermostat and left The local office then declared that my home was not compatible with the product which was a lie and was false Our home is brand new and we confirmed with the hvac company that the nest is compatible Adt insisted it wasn't over two months of long phone calls and not returned phone messages from several customer service reps Finally I got someone to agree and come back out but the local office wants to charge me another dollars for an electrician This is unacceptable as the first electrician

ADT not monitoring my home

I have contacted ADT regarding the fact that they are not monitoring my home yet they are still charging me a monthly paymentTheir response was that I need to tell them when there is an issue If they are truly monitoring my home as they should be they should know there is an issue, should they not? That's the whole point of having security Their second response was that I should call techor cancel my service

Three weeks ago I contacted ADT to inquire about changing the passcode on my (Non ADT) alarm systemThe representative (supposed supervisor), explained that there was $fee associated to tech coming to my home to assist, but he was going to send me a $Visa card to offset this chargeMy question to him was, "why would ADT do this for free?"His response was, "it is so we can offer you more products and service while in the home"I explained that I would entertain the idea of having a monitored service, but for the time being, I just wanted a passcode changeHe agreed and an appointment was scheduled
Upon the arrival of the tech and trainee, he asked where my control pad wasI walked him and his trainee to the pad and explained the above (first paragraph) verbatimHis response was that he understood and will need to look at our system firstI walked him to our bedroom where the panel is housed and left him and his trainee to perform their reviewNot at any time did I mention that it was acceptable to install any hardware or that I agreed to a monitor serviceThe process went on for roughly an hour and a halfThe tech came to my kitchen with a number of products and began to propose a planIn the process he knocked my pregnant wife's purse off of the counter onto the floorAt which point he looked down and said "that's tough, that's tough"He did not move or make any gestures to pick it upI finally walked over to collect all of the items off of the floor and picked it upAt this point my wife had seen enough of this rude display and lack of concern and wanted the techs to leave
I explained to the techs that it is time to leave the propertyAt that time the lead tech explained that the system is installed and that it will take some time to finish his workI AGAIN explained that I did not authorize any work aside from a passcode reset and asked why did he proceed and why did he not follow the direction given by myself and the home officeHe explained that he does not take direction from home office and that it is the home owner's responsibility to explainThat is a major disconnect in and of itselfHe urged me to confirm that I want service via the link provided in an emailI responded by saying I don't know that I even want the system and that he should have never installed the equipment without my approval or consent
I have called ADT and their affiliate several timesIt is an endless amount of empty apologies and dead endsEach person routes me to someone elseI finally reached a number to cancel and the rep was extremely rudeShe explained that in order to cancel service I must fill out a form (which I was never provided) and return it back to the companyI explained that I have no such document and I don't have an account to cancelI HAVE NO CONTRACTShe said, "Write that you want to cancel on a piece of paper and fax it" I said I will not, she stated "well I have informed you on what you need to do.." I asked to speak to a supervisor at which time she refused
The performance from the tech, customer support and every person I have dealt with is patheticI have wasted hours of my time trying to resolve thisAs far as I am concerned, the responsibility to retrieve the hardware is on ADT and I will take no further actionI fully expect a refund and will not accept any further charges

I would not recommend ADT to anyone! When I was quoted and given a price it was 100% just a baseline priceWhen the technician came out he for sure works off commission because he tried to get me to "secure" my "entire" house for over $4,I am a single mother working two jobs I am not giving you all 4kThe $promotional price is for the system to get hooked up to a LANDLINE! If you want the system hooked up without using a landline that is an extra $a month! The tablet that now comes standard with most home security systems they wanted to charge me $The app that you can manage the security system from your phone was also an extra $or so dollars a month with TWC it's free!When I tried to cancel it was the most frustrating and ridiculous processI had to end up calling FIVE times to try to get an email sent to me so I could cancelWhich by the fifth call the representative just said I needed to write a letter and either mail or fax(no email who still uses mail or fax??!!!!) to cancel the service when the previous four reps could have told me thatI was told I would only get charged the prorated amount for the current month and next month's bill they charged me double that!!! DO NOT GET ADT!!!

first off, the marketing group quoted me a price for all windows and doors on my first floor but when they came to the hosue, it only covered windows and there were several additional windows and a second door all which tripled the original quoted priceNext , they raised the monitoring monthly fee twice in months from the original policyi had signed a year contract and then was transfered for my job so wanted to cancel the remaining contractthey insisted I pay for the next months even though service was endedi had paid for all installation fees, all uquipment fees and new account fees in full at beginning so only had the monitoring feeThey insist I pay the monitoring fee for another months with the service endedthere is no loss to them since I paid everything up front for servise set up, equipment and installationmonths of now service is rediculoushow about a omonth penalty fee for closing contract early but months is simply a rip offthey were rude on the phone when I asked them to compromisei will never do service with them againi have been a landlord for years and have had tenants who needed to leave before their contract was up - due to life circumstancesi simply asked them to pay month rent to give me time to find another tenanati would never had told them to pay me for the remaining months or what ever was left on their year lease even though they had vacated the premisesADT is not customer focused in doing this
