Terrible customer service. The company closed out a loan on a purchase that was still processing. When I questioned about it, I got 7 emails from 7 different people all with the same automated responses that basically said it wasn’t their fault but the merchants and I’d have to apply for another loan. But the company lowered my limit with the same merchant so my limit wouldn’t cover the order that is still processing. Now I’m stuck with all these accessories for a product I won’t be getting.

Though, yes, it is easy to get a loan from Affirm, it is very important to note that they do not support you as a customer like a credit card does. If you are being mistreated by the manufacturer or seller, say their terms are ridiculous and/or they are very difficult to deal with, and would like to cancel the order, Affirm will not stand by you. They work for the seller not you and you are the one paying them for the product. I will never use their services again.

If I could leave a zero I would. Affirm appeared to me to be a "line of credit" available to purchase through several retailers. I took 2 "loans" out to purchase a few items and paid both loans off. I did not know until I checked my credit report that they reported it to the credit agency's as "new accounts". That made my credit score dump . I did not want it reported to the credit agency's because I am making a major purchase on an automobile and did not want any marks on my credit report. I have very good credit, several credit cards I could have used instead. I did not need a loan from them, I chose it to keep from my report, instead did just the opposite. They should have informed me it was going to be reported. I would have used a credit card instead. I don't know how they got my social security number, I never gave it to them.

I am attempting to request a full refund for my loan for $1,345.00. I am requesting this refund because the company who my loan purchase was for, *** has not fulfilled their end of the agreement.
*** is issuing *** customers Refunds outside the 60 day dispute window, to customers who have received their aligners, but the aligners were defective and did not do as advertised. This is my situation as well, which is why I am requesting a refund.
I have sent *** all of the information listed below, and have yet to have this issue resolved. In fact *** has stopped responding to my emails. I was paying appropriately when the contract was presumably still being upheld by both parties.
*** VOIDED our contract with the statement made on May 11th, stating they are not producing alligners and are not issuing refunds.
*** knowingly took on and collected loans for ***, knowing they were not providing the services promised.

*** is no longer responding to my emails. I am left with no ***.

This is the perfect scam!

*** has issued refunds to other *** customers, but will not refund me (and many more) and is not willing to provide a refund criteria!!!

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Ms. Revdex.com complaint. *** has reviewed Ms. complaint, which states her concern with her dissatisfaction with her final results of her *** treatment.

***'s records show that Ms. obtained her loan (ID: ***) on July 22, 2019. *** received notification from Ms. on May 7, 2020, stating she had completed her treatment, but was unhappy with the results. Ms. provided documentation showing her communications with *** and asked for a Merchant Dispute case to be opened.. An *** Customer Care Agent informed Ms. that as her loan fell outside of the 60-day disputable window, a merchant dispute case would not be able to be opened for her. Ms. has been informed multiple times since then that her loan is not eligible for a refund, as Ms. provided evidence that she did receive the full treatment and aligners.*** apologizes to Ms. for the lack of communication, but at this time, ***'s initial response still stands as Ms. loan is not eligible for dispute or refund. *** encourages Ms. to continue to contact the merchant directly on any refunds or returns.

In the event that Ms. has any further questions or concerns, we encourage her to reach out directly to ***@***.com.

Affirm.com Response • Aug 11, 2020

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Ms. Revdex.com rebuttal.First off, we apologize for the incorrect name stated in our last response. However, we have determined that the investigation conducted reflected the accurate information for Ms. loan. As stated previously, Ms. loan fell outside of ***'s 60-day disputable window. Additionally, the evidence Ms. provided showed that she did receive the full treatment and aligners.Since *** is not able to assess treatment results, we cannot pursue a dispute or refund for Ms. and encourage her to contact the merchant directly regarding their return policy and company promise. In the event that Ms. has any further questions or concerns, we encourage her to reach out directly to ***@***.com.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I have asked *** many times to provide me with the specific refund criteria regarding *** customers financed with ***. *** has refunded other customers who are both outside the 60 day window and who have also received their aligners. *** has been unable or unwilling to provide the specific refund criteria. Why are other customers, in the same situation as I am, being issued refunds? What criteria is being used to determine who is issued a refund, and who is not issued a refund?

Sincerely

I would not give one star if I could. You shouldn’t use this company if you don’t want to be unfairly and dishonesty treat it. I got a loan, I return products. And they still report me as delinquent account for a loan was supposed to be close months before. They don’t care. I had been dealing and begging to please fix what they did. Since beginning of this year 2020. We almost in august. Not even the pandemic make them have a little of good intention energy.

Run away they are supporting companies That or *** in people

Electric boarding company out of Florida

B2B MERCHANT COMPLAINT - They are worst company to deal with, there is no merchant support phone# listed here on Revdex.com (which cannot leave in the comments as the automated system wont allow it) where the workers are trained to tell companies like ours, who make Affirm money there is no merchant support phone for help. Only an email address, merchanthelp AT affirm ***.
After processing refunds to customers, items that were discontinued or customer just did not want the item Affirm withheld the monies for these orders and new orders that were being processed on our website. Affirm is stating the monies were paid out in our settlement report, which is correct in their settlement report but after checking our linked/confirmed bank account the monies were never paid out. We had our accountant even reconcile affirm transactions vs the bank statements proving the funds were never paid out and still owed to us. Affirm will not acknowledge this and in their most recent email stated (Read below) owes us almost four thousand dollars, usd and is doing nothing to recitfy the issue NOR will they accept the fact of the bank statements which they told us to review (obviously). If any other merchants have had problems, please leave a review as I would love to see your probem(s). Thanks
If anyone has a direct number to their merchant team please provide.

Hi,
It is rather unfortunate we are unable to resolve this matter. Based on the foregoing conversation, Affirm believes it has meritorious defenses with respect to any potential claims you may assert against it and intends to vigorously defend its position.
All the best

As impossible as it may seem, I can boldly tell you that it is possible for a hacker to fix your credit, I usually don’t do this but the gladness I feel cannot be quantified, I feel like I have no worries anymore since I hired (jerry link group at gmail dot com ) and they fixed my credit, I read about them here and decided to give them a try, they've provided a wide range of services for those with poor or bad credit. How best can I show my gratitude than to do a 5 star review for what *** has done? Hit them up today and get your job done.

Worst decision EVER. I had two retail loans with affirm and paid them both in full after about a month of taking them. Affirm never reported the loans as paid to Experian. I then disputed both accounts. Affirm then told experian that both loans were still outstanding. So I redisputed them and contacted affirm myself. They confirmed for me that the loans were paid off and sent me a letter stating so. They also claimed it was Experian’s late processing of their reporting that may be the problem but they failed to explain why THEY lied and said the loans were still outstanding. They then reported one as paid in full and the second as refinanced. So, I filed formal complaints against them with the CFPB. I highly advise that no one deal with these people.

My flight and hotel were cancelled due to COVID-19. The hotel was non-refundable but I booked it through y credit card. The credit card immediately refunded my money under the circumstances of a pandemic--even a non-refundable rate-- but the flight I booked and used Affirm for was a completely different story. I had not made one payment before my flight was cancelled and purchased the insurance which even has a refund clause for pandemic which surprised me. Affirm will get the money refunded directly by the airline per the airline. After numerous emails, many calls to the customer service line being on hold for almost an hour, even with proof of the refund going directly to them, they are asking me to pay this loan only to refund the very money I have given them. Yes, pay for a flight that never existed, to refund me the money I just gave them back to me.
They could just simply wait for the airline to refund the cost of the flight as they will do, but are asking me to pay on a flight that was cancelled only to refund my money back to me. You can't do business this way. Use your credit cards and don't waste time with them. They protect the merchants are are coming after the consumer. This is especially egregious when this was all caused by a national shut-down pandemic. The credit card companies will file a resolution with the merchant and Affirm will not. They state policies but cannot name or provide the basis they make their decisions on. Stay away from Affirm.

I have asked Affirm many times to fix the problem with my profile since I cannot log in with my old cell number and email address and they never got back to me.

received out of box failure from nuwave bravo. Can't Contact their service number, on hold for 22 minutes, and the line drops you off. I have made 2 payments to affirm on something that doesn't work, and no one to take my complaint on either the nuwave number or affirm.

Buyer Beware!!! I purchased furniture from Colemans furniture and their lender preferred lender was Affirm. My furniture kept getting delayed 3 to 4 month out. I cancelled the order after 3 weeks. Affirm wanted me to pay installments and interest on money I never received or that was given directly to me and I never received the furniture. I sent them the cancellation receipt etc. I paid them 469 up front from the 5300 furniture loan. They said that they will charge me interest until they are notified directly by Coleman's furniture and they will return the 469 only when Colemans sends them their money back. My question is how can I be responsible for money or furniture never received. I have a cancellation from Colemans, but affirm will not accept it.

They refuse to update my credit report to show my loans are paid in full. Some as long as two months ago. Even disputing these inaccuracies with the credit bureau, *** responds to the disputes that they are reporting accurately as having a balance owed. Yet they email me paid in full letters.

Affirm.com Response • Jul 16, 2020

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Ms.' Revdex.com complaint. *** has reviewed Ms.' complaint which states her concern with ***'s credit furnishing on her settled loans.

***'s records show that Ms. paid off her loans in full as of May 23, 2020. In accordance with the industry standard, *** furnishes consumer repayment history to *** in batches on a regular basis, which covers a specific period of time. As a result, based on ***'s credit reporting cadence, consumers should allow 30-60 days for their credit reports to be updated.

Ms.' loans were reported as settled on the following dates, which are reflected on her credit report: *** (5/7/20), *** (5/21/20), *** (5/23/20), *** (2/19/20), *** (1/19/20), *** (3/26/20).

After a careful review of Ms.' account, *** records show that all loans listed above have been reported as paid in full on her *** credit report.

In the event that Ms. still sees otherwise, we encourage her to send a document reflecting the incorrect information to ***@***.com so that *** may investigate further.

Total ***! Stay away.. they lure you in with no late payments or fees EVER.. that's crap.. worse, a few days late and you are reported to the credit bureau. Lies. Use KLARNA. Easy to work with and appreciates your business. #stayawayfromAFFIRM!

I am not sure what in the hell is going on with this company. I sure hope that I can leave a zero star rating. I called into this company about three weeks ago to inquire about some fraudulent loans that were reported on my credit report. The company said that I had never taken out any loans and could not link me to an account by my name or phone number when I asked that when the credit agency calls they were going to get the same answer the representative said yes because that was the only answer to give. Low and behold the credit agency completed the investigation and this company said the information was accurate.

*** Also as it turns out the company has to get at least one star... way to go tee-ball generation!

customer service is terrible. I applied for a loan and input 1 thing incorrectly and no one in customer service could help get it corrected. I was simply told I will have to find another payment method because they could not verify my identity.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They took out a duplicate payment from my bank account and refuse to refund me for the extra charge that was posted on my account. I have to file a dispute with my bank in order to get this second charge removed from my account and move it from the negative back to a positive amount. I have never dealt with a company where the customer service was this horrible. They had the option to call my bank and remove the charge but refused that option saying there was nothing they could do about it. BUYER BEWARE!!

I purchased an item with Abebooks in the amount of $199.39. I received a used and damaged book that I returned. Abebooks issued me a refund in the amount of $214.39 which included the return shipping. The refund was processed with Affirm on June 7. However, the refund they issued was only $200.01. After, contacting customer service over 5 times asking where the remaining balance of $14.38. They have failed to explain and still have yet to issue the full balance that is due to me.

I’ve never had any issues with Affirm since my time with them and this the first.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Ms. J's Revdex.com complaint, which states her issue with refunds on her Affirm loan used for purchase with Wayfair (loan ID: M4V7-RZ9O).Affirm's records show that Ms. Js created an Affirm Virtual Card on May 13, 2020, for $200.00. On May 17, 2020, the merchant captured an amount of $199.39. Since the full amount on the card was not used, Ms. Js' loan was adjusted on May 3, 2020, for $0.61. Affirm received a refund in the amount of $214.39 from Abebooks on June 17, 2020. This refund triggered several payments to be pushed back to Ms. Js' original payment instruments for a total of $200.00. Since Affirm received an over refund for $14.39, a check will need to be issued to Ms. Js.Upon careful review of Ms. Js' interactions with Affirm customer care agents, we were able to confirm that the agents failed to recognize the over refund on the virtual card. We apologize for the inconvenience this error may have caused Ms. Js, and rest assured that we have followed up with the agents directly to address this training opportunity.Affirm has processed a check for $14.39. As shared with Ms. Js on June 19, 2020, she should expect her check to be delivered within 14 business days.In the event that Ms. Js has any further questions or concerns, we encourage her to contact Affirm directly at [email protected].

I used Affirm credit to purchase airfare. Due to COVID-19 flights were canceled to my destination and are still canceled. I have asked Affirm for a refund or credit since March 2020 and they do not help or provide refund or credit. I asked the company which I paid using Affirm for refund and I asked the airline for refund none of them will give me refund.

Affirm.com Response • Jun 22, 2020

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr. C's Revdex.com complaint, which states his concern with not receiving a refund on his Affirm loan (ID: 6XNG-W7AQ) obtained through CheapOair.Affirm's records show that Mr. C contacted Affirm on March 21, 2020, for a loan that he paid off on February 20, 2020. Mr. C stated that he was due a refund on his loan as his flight had been canceled by the airline. Affirm Customer Care Agents informed Mr. C that all refunds and returns were subject to the merchant's policies and procedures, and he should work directly with the merchant regarding her refund.Mr. C contacted Affirm again on June 15, 2020, stating that both the merchant and the airline have refused his request to be refunded. Mr. C was asked to submit evidence that he was due a refund to determine if a potential merchant dispute case could be investigated on his behalf. As Mr. C's loan was processed on November 22, 2019, and was outside of the 60-day window to open a merchant dispute case, Mr. C was informed that he would need to work with the merchant to resolve this issue. Additionally, the documentation Mr. C provided showed that the merchant had issued him a travel credit, which is valid until February 28, 2021.Since a travel credit was provided to Mr. C for, CheapOair will not be crediting the amount back to Affirm. Therefore, Affirm will not be able to issue a refund for Mr. C's loan.In the event that Mr. C has any further questions or concerns, we encourage him to reach out directly to [email protected].

Complaint: 14***

I am rejecting this response because:
Due to COVID-19 and my wife having asthma we cannot travel now or in the future.
Affirm issued the credit and financed the product/airfare. The airfare is not valid and not going to be used. The airline refuses to provide a refund so the finance or credit company (Affirm) should make me whole. It appears Affirm is not concerned with my the consumer's wishes and requests

Sincerely,
J*** C
