DON'T GET A LOAN FROM AFFIRM! I purchased an item through a retailer and a loan from Affirm, I had to return the item and it was returned with no issues with a full refund from the retailer. I contacted Affirm to let them know about the return immediately after sending the item back in the mail. They still charged my credit after the return confirmation and refund from the seller, I called to find out the issue, they had refunded me an amount, MINUS THE INTEREST! Again, this is after the item was returned, approved with a full refund from the retailer. I called again, the agent said basically too bad that is not our policy! TERRIBLE COMPANY, HIGH INTEREST RATES, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, STAY AWAY! GET A LOAN FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I refused to give them my bank account so they asked if I could send a check. They lost the check in the mail. I sent the check 3 weeks before the payment was due and I included all relevant information. I was out of options so I had to give them my bank information anyway.
Please do not use Affirm.

I agree with the reviews about this creepy company. I applied for a loan for travel in October 2018 which is set up for 12 monthly payments . I mail my check on time and they should receive it at least in 5 business days. However, I have been contacted 3 different times or should I say harassed 3 different times when they said I was overdue for a payment. The very first time the customer service rep told me he saw my check, but it was not processed. I asked why if they have the check sitting there why it's not processed and I got notified a payment is due. He then put me on hold and came back and ran me around like he never admitted he actually said he saw the check. So I made a another payment and my original check was cashed shortly after. Scammers! I received a text Friday July 19 stating payment was overdue for July 18. And again they are denying Monday July 22nd they received the check which they should have in their possession. I saw the check was not cashed online. Well, I talked to someone yesterday and was told they have a new mailing address. I said, "Why the h_ll did you not text me with your new mailing address like you harass me about not receiving the check 3 different times," and I hung up! Can you believe that? Horrible and I told them I will be on every travel website they advertise their loans with my review to let people know they are scam artists and stay away! I have very good credit and called the travel agency yesterday and they took my information for billing to call me back. Scary to deal with this type of company, I've NEVER had this experience with company.

I made a purchase and used Affir*** to finance it. I made my first payment on time. The second payment was sent on time through my bank. Since Affirm doesnt accept electronic transfer my bank sent a check. The address it was sent to was ***.
The was the address given to my by Affirm. Now they said the payment is overdue and since I sent it to the wrong address the check will be shredded. At no time was I told THEY changed the payment address to a Pennsylvania office. Now I will have a late payment.
Forgive me if I sound ***, but if they receive the check and shred it then why cant they just deposit it and everyone will be happy. No late fees,no bad marks against my record caused by THEM!!!!

Affirm is a great purchasing tool for items you might not have the cash straight out for. My husband and I have used it several times from buying a bed to a new set of gaming headphones.
The reason it only gets 2 stars though is because of its crap-tastic identity confirmation. After having used affirm several times under my husband's name, I wanted to buy him something special for Christmas, but didnt want to use his account where They would email him confirmations which would spoil the surprise.
The idenity stuff is easy enough. Take a picture of you, of your license, and of you holding your license (among the other run off the mill stufd). Maybe it was because I was walking while trying to take a picture, I dont know, but something went wrong and they said "We could not confirm your identity at this time. Our decision is final." AND THERE IS NO WAY AROUND THIS.
They claim its for your protection but its just complete b.s. Even if you contact them directly they will NOT work with you to try and confirm your identity that some robot f*ed up on confirming. 8 months later and I STILL cannot try to use Affirm. You cannot try to resubmit information. It is final. Period. End. Of. Discussion.
Not only is this absurd because I will never be able to use it even if I got a divorce, and not only is it not user friendly, now I cant use this as a valuable tool to buy things and work on my credit at the same time. Nope, gonna have to get a credit card for that.
Affirm REALLY needs to allow fpr the resubmission of information or have its human staff be able to help in situations where the *** bot couldnt confirm identity.

We have tried to contact this company about opening an account for 6 months at least 4 times. Our last replay from them is they don't support our web platform which is a Lie. On their website they state that they do support *** platforms and I even know several *** sites that use their service like https://dalessuperstore*** It is one thing not to get back with us for months but to Lie and false advertise is unexcusable! Also this company has (No Contact Phone Number) I don't understand why this company is just pick and choosing their clients. There are several business in our nich that have accounts with them that have only 1 star reviews with the Revdex.com. I'm shocked that we were just Lied to from this company and we are a 5 star company looking to do business with them. I hope they contact us because we have the eamil from them to support all this provided Information. I will also be providing additional information to the (***) about their fraudulent practices.

DO NOT GET DESPERATE AND GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO THIS COMPANY. SPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE HAD MORE THAN ONE LOAN WITH THEM. THEY KNOW YOU PAY ON TIME AND THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE THUS, NOW THEY WANT YOUR PICTURE AND ID TO SELL YOUR IDENTITY TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER AND DESTROY YOUR FINANCES EVEN IF FOR A SHORT TIME. I HAVE MORE THAN 10 CREDIT CARDS AND NOONE HAS EVER ASKED ME FOR A RECENT PICTURE AND MY DRIVERS LICENSE. I HEARD THEY ARE ALSO ASKING FOR A COPY OF YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE. THANK GOD I CAUGHT THEIR SCAM ON TIME!!! *** BEWARE!!!
There is something very dangerous about asking people for pictures and ID over the internet. I reckon that they are in the middle of an identity scam and the *** should take steps to investigate Affirm*** Thoroughly to find out why it is that they believe they are above ***, ***, ***, etc; forcing formal clients who only want to do something as simple as changing a phone number... which by the way, it is easy through the mentioned companies. I have over 10 credit card including *** & *** and I've never had such a problem. This is very very fishy.
There is something extremely dubious and I have heard of identity theft perpetrated in some of their clients probably stolen by their own subordinates because know they not only have your social, address, etc; but they also have your picture and ID.
They are something going on with that company that makes them seem really amoral, dishonest and extremely inappropriate and I repeat, the *** should take matters on their hands to investigate them. Also, I recommend to anyone that if you have been a victim of Identity theft after giving such information to that company, sue the *** and make sure everyone knows about it: ***, and every or any search engine in cyberspace.

This company is ready, willing and able to loan you money (on a cyber-generated credit card) as long as your credit score is above 550. In 2017 / 2018, I used them numerous times totalling almost $6100 in short-term loans (the APR is somewhat attractive), paying each one off prior to the final due date. However, as soon as my FICO dropped even a touch below 550, they consistently denied me for even the smallest amount. Their internal record-keeping and lending practices are VERY suspect!
Furthermore, as the result of an *** purchase and return, I have been due a refund from Affirm for over a month. When I call "customer service", script-readers apparently, they have no exact dates on when the refund was processed or issued. They simply say it's done and on the way.
Convenient, decent interest rates and fast approvals with horrible customer service, very poor accounting practices!! Find somewhere else to get your loans!

Streamlined financing but extremely poor lending practices, no way to how you qualify as they do not use your credit report. Some representatives are highly disrespectful. They also have high rates, and low integrity, better to look elsewhere.

This company su*** related to updating paid accounts to crefit repurting agencies. I have placed multiple calls without any assistance from anyone including management. I will never use this company again. And I give them a F rating.

just started the process and it ask for my online banking id and password. thats where I stopped, never give your online banking ifo and password. no company needs that. total scam.
BETTER LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S.
Read the terms and conditions below very carefully, it says if you turn them in you can't post a review on here. I stopped before they got my money but everyone who has been scammed should absolutely turn them in. they are trying to scare you into not reporting them. please help stop people like this from steeling from poor or just good people who are in a financial bind.
Mr

My experience trying to prove who I am was horrendous. They wanted front and back pics of my license, of my face and of my license next to my face. It would never process. I tried 7 times plus 3 phone calls. They finally told me to use another device. I gave up. Was trying to make a purchase from ***. Finally used another option. No pics, verified me through my address.

I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY THEY HANDLE THEIR LOAN BUSINESS. I APPLIED AN APPLICATION OR A PAYMENT LOAN THROUGH AFFIRM TO PURCHASE A TICKET FROM JUSTFLY. THEY TOOK MY MONEY ALREADY WITHOUT A CONFIRMATION TICKET FROM JUSTFLY. AND WHEN I CALL THEM ABOUT THEY SAID THAT THEIRS PROBABLY A GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM AND THAT I NEED TO REAPPLY AGAIN AND PUT ANOTHER DOWNPAYMENT AND MAKE SURE IT GO THROUGH AND THAT $800 THAT THEY DEBITED OUT OF MY ACCOUNT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE NOT TILL AFTER 5 BUSINESS DAYS. SO I BASICALLY HAVE TO WAIT FOR THAT MONEY BACK BEFORE I CAN BUY TICKETS. SINCE THE MONEY IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD BY AFFIRM. NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY THEY HANDLE THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I'm a woodworking business in NYS and went to purchase a tool using affirm and was denied on the grounds that they could not confirm my identity with the information I provided, which was Name, email, phone number, and social security numbers.
When I called to try and reconfirm my identity with them I offered to send them a picture of my license, my NYS taxation and business numbers, or a scan of my birth certificate and I was told "our decision is final"
They have all the information they need to steal my identity and I do not trust this company not to at this point.

I suspect this business skirts the rules on predatory lending practices based on my experience.
I was attracted to the "tease" of interest free financing to purchase a Peloton bike . . . was denied . . . called . . . they amended whatever incorrect information they had about me in their system . . . was approved (confirmed by an email sent to me from Affirm.com) and went to use it and was told I was denied, again. Peloton however sent me a "congratulations on your purchase email" and when I went to confirm delivery, there was no record.
Is Affirm just a marketing gimmick to drive potential customers to websites? Game to waste consumers' time? Misleading financial marketing? My husband had a very similar experience and I'm left feeling very uncomfortable having shared personal information with this company.

Customer service does not understand or TRY to resolve any issues you may have. They seem to be reading from a script and not tailoring the solution to any specific issue or customer.
I have really benefited from using Affirm and have financed 40+ purchases through them but the customer service is making me begin to reconsider using it all together.

I was a victim of identity theft through Affirm and have had an awful experience so far. I started getting emails about amounts I was approved for followed by emails stating "If you weren't expecting this email from Affirm, please ignore this message." and ignored the emails thinking they were spam as they did not include my name. I became worried when I received emails regarding payment plans. When I first called, I got a man who sounded like he never heard of identity theft. I work in fraud prevention, so luckily I already knew what to do. He was very kind, but extremely unhelpful. I requested an email as record of the call and never received one. He told me I could fill out an affidavit and that he would send that to me, in what I assumed would be the same email. I never heard from him and still haven't. A few days later, I received an email from Affirm telling me that their investigation determined that I was responsible for the repayment and this is when I received the affidavit to fill out. I am now going to jump through all the hoops in order to file a report with the FTC and local authorities against Affirm for identity theft. They should have higher regulations to protect consumers from identity theft, and they should absolutely not end their emails telling you to ignore them when in fact an account really was opened in your name. They should also have some kind of fraud prevention training for the call center staff for these instances so that they can properly handle theses kinds of cases. Kindness can only go so far.

If I could give a NO star rating I would. I signed up for phone service with Visible and Affirm offered phones that could be purchased with a monthly pay back plan which I thought was great. I applied, was approved but had to make a down payment which I did. I then proceeded to walk through the rest of the ordering process, received a congrats etc. a text message to sign up online to view my account and when I did it stated I did not have a loan (?). I then reached out to them and they said they showed no loan for me that it must not have completed online and that I should go back online incognito and purchase another loan. I asked why I would do that when they already took $140 out of my bank for a "NON existent loan"? They can't find my loan that they approved and received a down payment for but they sure did find my bank account. If I don't receive a refund ASAP I will take action against them.

I didn't even get to purchase my computer, and it had me put in my social, to proceed to tell me that I wasn't able to be "verified" and that their decision is final. What a joke of a company. Read the reviews and still gave it a chance. Never again.

I been with affirm for a while now. I done paid off like 40 loans with them. They will not give me a reason why I can’t get another loan or virtual card. I think the ones that pays on time an never late gets thrown to the sharks. I never seen a company work like this. My opinion they need to close there door’s this company is a scam. I have a few more loans to pay off then I’m done they are sorry an low down big time. They have a rinky dink bank out of New Jersey backing them called Cross River Bank. They are not well known for there service either. I’m going to make this short please Beware Of this company. They will use you for a little then you are bait to the sharks.
