Affirm.com Reviews (%countItem)

took the route of using affirm through Expedia to make payments toward a trip which I thought was a wonderful opportunity for families in need a small assistance. I was quoted a monthly payment amount and give a down payment close to $800. when I went back to expedia I had NO TRIP BOOKED and when I called they told me the loan didnt go through because of the "Internet Browser" I was using. That was a few days ago and I am still awaiting a refund.
They also claim to not even have a corporate number

I was fraudulently charged $321 from this scam artist company owned and operated by Max Levchin. AFFIRM has no customer service, they have thief's and liars working their. They told me they would report a charge as fraud and they reported what they said was an unauthorized charge to the credit bureau. I am trying to buy a house and had perfect credit before these con artists ruined it.

I am a current customer with an issue with their returns policy. If you return an item they make you wait 21 days for your account to be credit ... even AFTER they have received the refund from the vendor. I can not believe this is a legal practice! I will be no longer be a customer of theirs once my loans are paid off. I find this to be a deceitful practice.

This company is totally bogus. I used them to partially finance a trip on Expedia. They took a $700 down payment from my credit card and never paid Expedia for my trip. In fact my trip was never even booked yet they wanted to have me start making payments. Their customer service is none existent, They give you a phone number that no one ever picks up and they don't answer email. I actually had to dispute the charges through my bank. They tried to rob me!

My account was paid off on 02/23/18. It was last reported to the credit bureau 02/03/18. On 03/03/18 I asked when it would be reported payed off, and was told they didn't know. I was also told they report every month, but, nobody knows when.

Questionable practices. Redefined loan status from processing to processed after refund from vendor fully executed - to gain interest which I've had to pay. Avoid at all costs they are not trust worthy. Purchase details - Rolex from Beckertime for $7k returned immediately yet charged 1/4th of the loans interest in two weeks when the term was 24 months. This company is deceitful at best. AVOID

This is an awful company. It says on the website that they credit back the amount you didn't spend but they are not telling the truth. I took out card for $650 and only spent $250 and they have still charged me the full $650. I called and asked them why it wasn't credited and they say it takes 21 days. They can't expect the full amount of payment when their system isn't reporting correctly. I called again and the answer I received was "the company has a hold on the money." REALLY? How could they have a hold on $650 when I only charged $250. Run from this company. AWFULLLLLLLLL!!!! If I could give it negative stars I would. They don't even deserve a 1 star.

Affirm makes a very minimal effort to confirm identity and will permanently deny you if they interpret it wrong. They will not give you any chance to provide correct information that can easily checked through several legal means. If a financial company can't complete a simple identity check, it makes me wonder how far their incompetence reaches.

WARNING: THIS COMPANY WILL SCREW UP YOUR CREDIT! I made my payments in less than 30 days of being late and they still reported it to Experian as 30 days late. I don't know how they count days, but it's not like how "normal" creditor report. I was told after pointing out to them their errors numerous times, that even a day past the due date is considered late. WHAT?!?! I'll NEVER use this company again for financing. I was told that if I provided a screen shot if my credit report for the accounts, they would they would look into the 2 months they shouldn't have reported only to get the same response as they always say that they reported correctly. I should've known if something is too easy and too good to be true, it is

Affirm stuck me with interest charges because the company I ordered through took over 30 days to cancel a sale on a item, I had ordered. Originally they attempted to keep my first payment and were asking for more fees. After several phone calls, I did get a portion of my funds refunded but not all. The sale never completed, the product never shipped. I had no control over the timing of when the company reversed the sale back to Affirm. There are so many other option for financing, find one that treats customers better than Affirm does.

Got a tiny loan for a Motorola phone, G5S Plus, today. You'd think I was asking for a million dollars instead of 300.

First, they want you to confirm your identity via text. My phone died. That's why I'm getting a new one. Think I have access to that phone, you fools? I had to involve a family member to verify my identity.

Then, once I did, I had to send not one, not two, not three, but FOUR pictures to confirm my id? My license, front and back, then me, then me WITH the license?

What the heck is wrong with companies like you? I can get a home or auto loan much more easily. My credit is good, but you treat me like sm. Check your reviews. They are really dreadful.

I wouldn't use this company again if you paid me--nor should you.

This is a scam organization. It changes the terms after you agree to the purchase. It said I was approved for $2500 on a $3500 product at 20% interest before I made an offer. So I made an offer to a vendor. Now I have a $2800 CHARGE on my credit card. I cannot afford a $2800 charge, I could only afford $1000 right now which is why I needed the financing of $2500 of the $3500 purchase. When I contacted them, they claimed that $2800 was the deposit. That means I was NOT approved for a $2500 loan but a $700 loan. That changes my ability to purchase the product at the moment. The interest rate also jumped to 30%. I also don't actually know what my account should look like since I was told it will take up to 45 days to see my account updated. It is 2018 and I can't have an updated account online within 24 hours? When I agreed to the purchase I should have immediately known the terms and had accurate information. I was not given this.

Horrible company! If I was late just one day I would be receiving a min of 5 calls a day until their system updated. Plus I was under the assumption that I was getting a loan with no interest rate. When I paid off both loans it is showing they charged me a 30% interest charge. That is ridiculous. I'm better off making purchases on my cc than using Affirm. I guess lesson learned never use this company again.

Paid off loan, tried to close account, and was told I'd have to wait 30 days?

customer service is very horrible no one from customer care calls you but send you texts and email very unfriendly staff .Poor customer service recovery this will be my first and last time financing with this company and will not recommend any of my friends, family ,co workers

I got a new phone and number and tried to change my info with Affirm, which they failed to do multiple times. Their website only has an email contact option, so I submitted the request there and had to wait 2 days before getting a response to call a particular number to make the change, so I did. They verified my identity with FOUR pieces of info and said the change was made. Next month my bill was due and I still could not login to pay or view my account because they failed to change my phone number. To avoid any late fees, I immediately called and asked what was going on and was told that the change was still "in processing" and would take more time. Had to pay with a debit card on the phone to avoid late charges. 2 days later I receive an email stating that they WOULD NOT BE CHANGING MY PHONE NUMBER with no reason given other than verification failed. I used my DOB, SSN# and more, yet that wasn't enough to complete the change apparently so I was left with no way to ever see my account or pay bills without making a phone call. I've never in my entire life had such a difficult time making a minor info change on an account so instead of dealing with this lame company any further or being inconvenienced to make a call every month to pay, I decided to make one final call and pay off my balance in full. I will NEVER be using this company again for anything. Quite literally the worst customer service reps I've ever had to deal with. They are so rude, condescending and unhelpful. Every call to Customer Support results in over a 5-10 minute wait time before you can even talk to anyone.
