Affirm.com Reviews (%countItem)

I will be filing complaints and horrible reviews with everyone I know!!! Just received a text message that my account has been charged off because I had an overdue balance of over 120 days. This seems odd because I received a phone call January 2nd stating if I paid $1.65 my account would be in good standing and WOULDN'T be charged of! I made the payment and then made another payment 2 weeks later!!! I just called and spoke to a customer service rep who agreed that the miscommunication in his company is lacking and apologized! I paid my balance but he told me my account would still show as charged off and that there was nothing they could do about it. So your telling me that you guys messed up and now it will affect my credit score??? It's pretty sad when your own people think you do a bad job but can't do anything to correct it?

I have emailed them about not being able to access my account because I have a new number and my old phone number is closed. Over the course of 6 months I have emailed them several times but I do not get any response in email or through a phone call. Whenever I send an email it says they will call me within 24 hours and it has been 6 months but no call or no follow up email. Worst customer service I have ever received.

First Impressions.
First time I used this finance company and first impressions go a long way. I wish I could’ve used them for many other purchases. I financed a $5K computer purchase and I’m regretting it. However, no regrets about Affirm and their staff. They structured a very reasonable payment schedule with zero interest. On a few occasions, my bank deposits were delayed and Affirm worked with me to prevent any overdraft situations. Their Website is equally as impressive although a little sparse in appearance. In fact I had to get their address through the Revdex.com. This was just for my own curiosity. All my info was kept very secure as well. There’s a code entering procedure to log on. After this, my info was accurately maintained and easily accessible. All in all, their actions indicate a desire to maintain a long term customer relationship. In fact, I can still log on after a year of paying off my account. This is perfect as I look forward to being a repeat customer.

I applied for credit with Affirm through Expedia and Orbitz to finance my upcoming honeymoon. Both times, I received a notification in the pop-up window that my "identity could not be verified" and "the decision is final." No further explanation and no chance to go back and correct any errors if any (which there were none). This concerned me because at that point, Affirm had all of my personal information and it began to seem like an identity theft scam (boy, I wish I would have read all the similar reviews on this site before I gave them all my information). I called the customer service number, which was answered by a guy whose two favorite words are obviously "uhhh" and "like." When I realized he was unequipped to answer my questions, I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told by the "supervisor" that they had no way of knowing what part of the info I gave them did not match up-- his only answer was essentially "yeah something doesn't match public record but I don't know what and we can't bypass it. It's final." Okay Mr. Supervisor. Then, when I asked for his name and employee ID, he refused to give me his last name. He would only give me his first name, Evan. Worried that someone might steal/sell your personal information like you did mine??

Bottom line-- Affirm is a scam. There is not a single reputable creditor who will deny a customer and not be able to give that customer follow-up information on the declination. I can only assume my personal information was solicited under false pretenses for the sole purpose of identity theft and/or data farming to 3rd party companies. As such, I will be keeping a close eye on my credit report and will pursue legal action at the first sign of unauthorized changes on my report or after the first spam call I receive, because I know it is coming. DO NOT USE AFFIRM.

Can never get a straight response from them, perhaps that is why they are not accredited by the Revdex.com. CHECKING INTO THIS WITH Revdex.com. I wish I had know about this sooner. Really felt they were credible and am so disappointed with them and these reviews. This is not the end. Will check my credit card for payments they took out. Sorry for everyone that has experienced what I am. Good luck ?? to EVERYONE!

I have been getting the run around from this company for 3 months regarding fraudulent activity under my name. I cant get a straight answer and am paying payments on the loan even though it is fraudulent because I don't want it to effect my credit score. If it were a credit card company this would take 1 day. Don't do business with them they are horrible.

THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER>>>>
these "people" are the absolute worst when it comes to customer service, knowing their jobs, knowing how a business runs, understanding customer's concerns, comprehending and mastering the English language, understanding customer's needs, expressing themselves clearly, being concerned about people, taking time to understand the situation, not talking over people, resolving problems, making their customers feel like a priority, making things simple and convenient for their customers and anything else regarding customer service I may have missed. Stay away from this company by any means possible. And by all means, if you still go ahead and use them check your APR....they say it can range anywhere from A to B.....NO ONE gets A. My husbands credit was not too shabby.....he got 29.93%..................BEWARE.

Merchants using Affirm are not clearly stating that this is a separate line of credit every time you choose this for a purchase. If you buy using Affirm 3 times, that is three separate accounts showing as three lines of credit on your credit file. A $100 purchase can cause a huge hit to your credit file.

I open up a account using my name and phone number and because someone else used my phone number first to open a account with affirm they switch my account to his name. When I brought this to affirm attention. I was told your telehone number is your account number. So like I told them you dont get paid til you correct this. Now they put this on the other person credit. And I have proof I applied and was approved for these loans

If possible to give no star, I would. I was sent to this business to purchase a cellular phone and all was well. Until I got the phone by post and it was broken. The return process was with the provider, not affirm. However, now that the process is complete I still need a phone and the only option is to use affirm and I get denied???? How do you approve me and then when I fulfillthe agreement I get denied......this place seems like a money pit. I will definitely not recommend and hope someone investigates their behavior.

I changed my phone number and they stopped taking payments out of my account. paid half the loan off and I get an email they are giving me late charges. wont give me an address to set up payments

I took a second loan out with them after the first one went smoothly. They took out almost a $300 deposit out of my debit card account for a $500 loan that I never authorized. I spoke to them emailed them multiple times and they said they did nothing wrong? Are you kidding me? I am warning EVERYONE! They are scam artists stay away from them I will never do business with them again and spread the word to people to avoid them at all costs. I even told them I was willing to pay for the loan agreed upon and the finance amount but give me back my deposit to make things right and they refused to do that so you know there shady and up to no good.

bought a purple mattress through these crooks.. ended up returning and they wouldnt renturn my down payment of 305.86. I got Capital One to refund me.. later that month Affirm sent a letter to Capital One to re bill the money... in witch its there policy to return if the company disputes it... so they charged back thwe ammount and Affirm is claiming thry never got the money?! ARE YOU KIDDING? I called today with a Capital one Employee on the line to get it squared awey and they wouldnt give me access to my account saying my birthday was incorrect, they than said it would take 3 days to proscess ther chages on my account to get accses... now I call bs because I had accses to the account this morning all fine and dandy...
From the other reviews ive seen im asuming ill never see my money again. Would not recomend at all, that is unless you want to be left high and dry.. oh and on top of that thry have given me 90$ in fees for being late for the payment witch I have 100% proof with my bank that I made... id rate 0 stars if I could.

I have had several loans with Affirm and was happy in the past. Then some one hacked my account. I tried stopping it before it went thru. They told it didn’t work that way. So some one was able to get a loan for 1730 and then tried processing a payment thru my bank account. I’d affirm would have put a stop on this immediately. None of this would have happened. I know have to wait 30 days for a investigation to make sure it wasn’t me. I will never use them again

I made a few purchases with Affirm, and my information was comprimised through them or the merchant I used Affirm through. I asked to deactivate my account so they could not open any other lines of credit while they investigated and they said they could not do that. Well guess what, another 5 accounts were opened in my name within the next few hours after I spoke with them. I've frozen me credit but somehow they are still opening them. They told me they would have to call and verify the loan if I had frozen my credit... well they didn't! I'm still disputing everything but this is rediculous that you cannot control your account and deactivate it yourself like a credit card. DO NOT USE AFFIRM! It is not a secure enough form of payment, and I NEVER received texts confirming the purchases and they say I would have had to received texts for the accounts to be opened. I didn't even use the APP, I made my purchases through a secure network on my computer.

I received an email out of the blue telling me a loan had been approved in my name with a payment schedule. I had never heard of a company named Affirm prior to this time and have never applied for any services from them. In attempting to call them I am currently on the third hour of wait time with no response to my request via email. This is a fraudulent company that no one should be subjected to. I assume this is going to take many weeks and many hours of my time to get any feedback from this awful business. If I had subjected myself to this willingly it would be one thing, but I want nothing to do with them. Terrible, terrible business practices.

I applied for credit with this company. They asked for only a little information stating that they were doing a "soft" credit history so they didn't need much for a decision. I had to wait several minutes so it seemed like they must be evaluating my credit. A few moments later I received a welcome email that provided a link for me use to access my account to make payments. I assumed that I didn't need to make payments unless I had been approved.
They asked for more information for billing purposes and photographs of myself and the front and back of my drivers license to verify my identity for security purposes. After that was done I was directed to shop for the product I wanted from a list of companies they provided.
I already had my product picked out at another company that is not affiliated with Affirm. Affirm says on their website that in that case they issue prepaid Mastercard numbers to complete those purchases. All I had to do was start the check out process and key the total in on the Affirm website. As soon as I did a message from Affirm popped up on my screen saying I was not approved and I would have to find another means of paying for my purchase. They got a great deal of information from me including copies of my drivers license that I would not have given if I had known I had not been approved yet.

Been using Affirm for awhile now, since 2014- . Never missed a payment, never over used affirm. Went to use them for a project for my Son, and was turned down. No reason, and it wasn't due to my credit. I've trusted this company to be their for the "little" guy in times of need and yet got slapped in the face. They will be lucky if I finish out my current loan. As other have said, there Customer Service doesn't exist.

I’ve had a few loans through Affirm for companies that they directly supported. However, when I tried to use their virtual card my transaction and experience went to crap. Their customer support is pretty much non existent. The pre approved card was declined when I was attempting to buy a rare and hard to obtain item. I ended up losing out on it due to their *** poor service and wanting me to wait to reapply after I was already approved due to the merchant not processing the payment within 24 hours of the approval.

This is an awful company to work with. I paid off my loan in March 2018 and Expedia issued a refund in April 2018. Affirm claims they tried refunding my bank account on file in the amount of $800 but it didn't go through "for some reason". I was asked to call my bank for clarification, which I did, however Chase has no record of a refund attempt by Affirm. Affirm claims now that they have to send me a paper check but that verifying my home address can take more than 30 days. They are not giving me an answer why my bank supposedly didn't accept the refund and they are not giving me a reason why verifying my address takes more than 30 days. This is absurd! The cherry on top is that they cannot give me proof that a refund was even attempted and that all 3 customer service reps were giving me a different time frame for the return. I will NEVER use this company again and I will make sure to share my story so that others do not fall for these scam artists. I am still owed $800!
