We have been working with Mr. & Ms. [redacted] to find a resolution to this issue. We have been told that they are transferring their contract to the new homeowner and are working to speak with them to verify this resolution.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I accept and appreciate Alder's offer to release me from the contract. I would appreciate it if Alder would contact me directly and arrange for removal of the equipment they installed so that I would not be accountable for the cost of that equipment. The thermostat they removed to install the remote one will need to be reinstalled at the time of removal of Alder equipment.

I am rejecting this response because:My mother cannot afford to pay the monthly charge of $[redacted] nor can she pay $[redacted] ($12 less) per month with her fixed income and vital medical needs. You stated that "in all our correspondence the claim that the alarm went off multiple times for no reason was never brought up to us" by my mother nor I, her daughter Lucretia.  My mother has stated that every time she has communicated with any of your service representatives on the phone.  I have stated it multiple times as well; however, I have focused more on her financial and health status in conversation with your representatives the past 3 months since I returned the system by certified mail to your address in Utah on February 9, 2015 and was signed received on February 11, 2015.  My mother does not have the dates of the system going off for no reason, but it happened multiple times when she was not at home and the law enforcement went to her home on each of these false alarms which is an inconvenience to them as well.   I apologize for questioning your license to sell in Alabama.  I was told by legal counsel that you did not have a license to sell at various times but was still selling.  After I received your last response yesterday I called the Electronic Alarm Board for Alabama, and they clarified that you have a license to sell.  I should have double checked that information myself before stating it, but I thought my resource was valid.  Ultimately, my mother desperately needs out of this contract with your company.  She can NOT afford to pay a monthly fee for this system for the next 3 years, nor can I.  She must take care of her medical needs.  I hope you can understand her situation.  She has reached a point in her life where she can no longer work and is needing several surgeries.  With her limited income she only has the ability to pay necessities (utilities, food, etc.) and hopefully her medical expenses.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:To Whom It May Concern:The response sounds great, although I STILL want my contract with Alder Security closed because I still feel they broke the contract to begin with by not monitoring my services as they stated they would to begin with.  I keep getting phone calls on a daily basis, the most recent being today, Monday, January 18, 2016 at approx. 2:45 p.m. from a gentleman by the name of "Andrea" who states now that I owe the $1,500.00 to Monitronix and they will pay $400.00 of that bill.  Monitronix is not my problem at this point, it is all Alder Security and I am requesting their contract again be voided as of the date Mr. N[redacted] installed Alder's services into my home.PLEASE help me with this situation, as Alder calling me on a daily basis is about to run me crazy.  I appreciate all your assistance in this matter.Sincerely,[redacted]A VERY dissatisfied customer

I am rejecting this response because: my husband contacted Mr. N[redacted] and he stated that he would have someone call us to install the cameras. We are still waiting for that to happen. Subsequently, no one from Alder has contacted us to return the equipment either. So, as I stated to Mr. N[redacted] during our phone conversation we are willing to keep the service, provided they honor the promises that their sales rep made to us. We understand that the cameras are expensive and the company is not wanting to give them away but that is what we were promised by an over zealous sales rep who wanted our business. This is the only bone of contention between ourselves and Alder. Mr. N[redacted] promised me someone would call and they never did, as he has done with my husband. He can call either of us directly as he has our numbers and set up the installation. We know that this will cause our monthly bill to go up and we are okay with that.

I am rejecting this response because:It wasn't just the missed service call.  I could understand if I had at least gotten a call that he wasn't coming.  But when I called your office you all didn't even know he hadn't shown up.  I waited an entire week for that appointment.  And during that week I had to leave my house unlocked.  Where's the security in that?  I explained to the people I talked to that I couldn't lock my house.    I was told by two different people that I would receive a call to schedule another appointment.  I waited a month for that call and it never came.  I think you've had ample time to fix this.   Do you really think I want to do business with you after all this?  Would you want to do business with you if you were in my shoes???So I have purchased and installed new dead bolts to secure my house.  I'm more secure now than I have been since I got signed up with you.

October 12, 2017RE:  [redacted] To the Revdex.com,  I have attached our response to the original complaint which states that we canceled the renewal and he would only be bound to the terms of the original agreement. There is no mention of us canceling his original contract, only the renewal. Mr. [redacted] was still responsible for canceling the agreement once the term was over. As a courtesy, I have canceled his account. I am rejecting this response because: I do not want the security system. I do not remember any video that they claim to watch. I had no knowledge of being recorded, nor that I was signing a contract. I would like my $ returned & the contracted ended & nulled and Send someone to get their equipment asap.

I am rejecting this response because: I actually contacted this company numerous times during the past four years, but did not have sufficient room in the Revdex.com complaint to notate everything.  The latest call in which we spoke on the phone for almost an hour, was just the last straw.  I have even had [redacted] pursue this from their end, because they told me this company has a 'history' of misrepresenting themselves as a reputable installer for [redacted], although they are not.I accept their agreement to terminate our contract, but, not surprisingly, there is no Date mentioned when they will cease in collecting my money.  I would appreciate it to occur immediately.
