Alignable is an excellent service! I've found it to be personable and enjoyable to use. IT gives you the ability to engage with your local community to boost your network and to get to know who's around you. I also like the ability to ask questions to other business owners and get great interaction. Overall I'm very happy with Alignable!

At the new job I just joined, I get a notification from my new boss that I sent him an invite to connect with my Alignable profile... which I did not do... and then I go into my messaging settings, and his "accept invite" from HIS side, showed up to me as an invite to connect with him on my side...
At this point, I just want out of this scam "networking" site that feels more like a virus than anything else. HOWEVER, upon trying to deactivate my account, it says "email me deactivation instructions", but no email shows up in spam or in my main email folder.. even though I just received junk emails about networking.

Hi ***!
Thank you so much for your review. I am so incredibly sorry for any negative experience you may have encountered. Ultimately Alignable does not do any of the following:
- We never will attempt to deceive you by ”pretending to be you”
- We never send messages or connection requests on your behalf to anyone unless you have given us direct permission to do so.
On our end, it looks like your account was created over a year ago and the email you are referring to was a suggestion of a business in the member's community they should connect with, which this week happened to be you. I am really sorry if that was unclear. That being said I have gone ahead and deactivated your account. If you have any further questions about Alignable please reach out to [email protected] and we'd be more than happy to help.
Best,
Phillip M Head of Member Success

Alignable is the greatest social media marketing site I have found for my small business!! It enables me to share information with other intelligent business-minded executives without having to wade through tons of "fluff." I have received a lot of priceless information from other business managers, as well as many customers from this site. The executives at Alignable are ALWAYS willing to respond to any concerns I have. I am a two-time *** winner, who has been unlawfully harassed by locals, unfortunately. LOL Hence, the personal customer service is invaluable and awesome. :-) You interact with a person and not a computer, as you do on those other social-media sites. :-) :-) :-)

The idea of a localized network sounds great, however I'm uncomfortable with this one for more than one reason, yet I will restrict my complaint to one.
I submitted a request to delete my account three times and the system says it just sent an email to my address. No emails have been received. I clicked on another link to request a password change and it said it sent me a link to reset my password. I instantly received the email. So their system appears to have no difficulty sending email, but they evidently have great difficulty sending an email to deactivate an account. While it is possible there are other factors involved, I have reason to suspect a lack of integrity.

Hi ***!
I am so incredibly sorry for any frustration this experience may have caused. Our #1 priority is our member satisfaction for both the members that choose to use Alignable and the members that decide to leave. It looks like we sent multiple deactivation instructions to your email. Since the sender, content, and nature of this email differ from our other sends, it is possible it ended up in a different folder than usual i.e. Spam, Promotions, Social. That being said, it does look like your account is still open so please reach out to [email protected] if you still need assistance deactivating your account.

I just sent an email to a contact I had not emailed in several years, using a new email address for him. Just hours later, I had a email from Alignable saying that I should invite this man to join my network! They are reading my emails! I haven't participated much because it seemed a little big-brothery already but this is too much! I am going to try to deactivate but reviews here indicate that won't be easy.

Hi ***!
Alignable’s #1 priority is our members and our member satisfaction - a big portion of that satisfaction comes from our dedication to transparency and honesty. We are so sorry that you had this negative experience, it is definitely not indicative of the service we strive to provide to our members.
Ultimately, Alignable does not do any of the following:
- We do not access your email account without your direct permission. Any claims that we “”hack”" or “”break into”" members’ accounts are completely false.
- We never will attempt to deceive you by “”pretending to be you”" in order to access your email account.
- We never send messages or invitations to join Alignable on your behalf to anyone unless you have given us direct permission to do so.
At any point during your ownership of your Alignable account, the address book import feature can be utilized. Before being allowed to do this, you’re required to enter your email account information, whether that’s through ***, ***, *** or any other contact list access we support. Once you’ve done this, we will randomly suggest contacts from that address book that you should connect with. We do not have access to any emails sent or received.
We want to make sure your experience with Alignable is a positive one, so although you deactivated your account, please email [email protected] if any questions arise and we’d be more than happy to help.
Best,
Phillip M

Alignable Inc. is sneaky! They tapped into my address book and sent out invitations "from me" without my permission. I immediately "DEACTIVATED" my Alignable account. I do NOT need to associate with any company that uses unethical practices to grown their business - "mike drop!"

Alignable first billed itself as the "free" network for small businesses. However, once you get into their system and start connecting, you learn that you have a "quota" of how many connections you can make. When I clicked to connect with a business, there was a warning that I only had 10 "anywhere" connections. An "anywhere" connection means that business isn't in my community. My community (Las Vegas) had recently been reduced from thousands to only 13 businesses. So businesses within walking distance are considered not local.
Not wanting to squander a mere 10 allocations, I waited until the following day when I would have more time to spend deciding which businesses to choose. Instead of 10 credits the following morning, I had only 3! Was I punished for not using those 10 credits immediately, or was there some other arbitrary reason for deleting 70% of the credits? Nothing else about my account had changed.
Also, what reason is there for changing my "community" from thousands to a mere 13 businesses? It seems only one city block is considered a community by Alignable, which seems their way of forcing people to upgrade to premium.

Hi ***!
I’m sorry you had that experience and thank you so much for being an active member on Alignable. There are a few things I’d like to highlight based on your review. You actually still have numerous Local and Anywhere credits for you to use within your community and beyond. Visit the Grow My Network page - *** to see all the businesses you can connect with as an Alignable member.
I also just sent you a direct message on Alignable with more details and next steps specific to your membership.
Best,
Phil

Alignable apparently defines "local" as a two-mile radius, which is not feasible in a metropolitan area like Las Vegas. Maybe that works for some businesses, but that's not how I define community.

Alignable has proven to be a useful way to publicize my business and to connect with clients and other businesses in my service area. The service is intuitive and simple, and the staff have been able to solve what few minor technical issues have occurred while I've been using Alignable.
