I was in the American Freight store in Knoxville, TN yesterday I feel like the business is ran a little shady though First of all, we waited over an hour to have the couch and loveseat I purchased to be brought from the storeroom, in the same bldg The guy bringing it to us, kept banging it into the wall and the plastic was barely covering itI had just spent $1200, you would think they would take care of thingsI looked over what I could see and it looked ok when we got it to the truck I was NEVER asked to inspect or sign anything about the condition of itI guess all sales are final, so you don't require your staff to take care of things
Then, when we got home and brought it into the house, we went to put the legs on the couch and one would not go in, as the metal bracket in the loveseat seemed too small for the leg I called the store and the person on the phone was Very rudehe laughed and told me the holes were hard to find I informed him that if he would listen t

Bought Mattress 11/19/2009, was told it has a year warrantyEmailed corporate, they said yes it has a warranty, gave me a sales order number and told me to call the store I purchased it from and file a warranty claimI called and the manager said "you got the PPC Excelsior, we don't deal with that manufacturer anymore, you will have to contact them" I said how do I do thatHe replied "Google it and start from there." I went and double checked my bed and it says "Stewart and Hamilton Excelsior" so I called back and said "the bed is Stewart and Hamilton Excelsior which is what you still sell today according to your website." He said "yea it's different, you gotta get ahold of PPC"I can't get ahold of PPC and shouldn't have toIt should be up to the retailer that sold it to me under the claim that it was a year warranty that they would handle

American Freight apologizes for the troubles the customer has had We have delivered and assembled the customers new bed, as well as returned and refunded her for the dinetteWe have given the customer an additional $refund for the inconvenience

Since we got the mattress in Deztwo weeks after having it, started to sag where we sleep significantly and created a humph in the middle of the mattressWe tried several times to contact them sending pictures to have the mattress exchange or the refund without successThey are not accepting that the mattress is damaged and for $dollars is a very uncomfortable bed

I have a mattress of poor quality I purchased from American Freight The mattress has developed a severe dip in the middle which I believe to be covered under the American Freight warrant When I called to resolve the issue they instructed I take pictures to show the wear I sent pictures but got no response for weeks I called to inquire American Freight requested more pictures I sent those pictures in on Oct and confirmed they were received I have since called and emailed multiple times but no one will respond to my claim (deny or accept)

I ordered a living room set and a Bedroom set and a Kitchen set from you and they were suppose to replace the end table to the living room over months ago and the table and other end tables are scratched and the mattress are not comfortable and they keep telling me days they are coming to replaces the items and never show up are called and I spent my money well over thousands of dollars for everything to be right and keep getting the run around

I went on to American Freight's website to look for a mattress for my sonWhen I looked I saw a mattress for $It stated you had to buy them in sets (Mattress & Boxspring)I called stores till I found that the Northfield Oh store had in stockAfter work I drove up there with my children only to see a mattress that was NOT what was pictured onlineThe pictures of this mattress online looked just like a mattress in thickness but when I got to the store, it was about inches thick at mostIt was like one of those mattresses you roll up and take campingI then asked to see the one they advertised online for $each which was also pictured as a looking mattressWhen they showed me that one, it was the same inch thick roll up mattressI live in Mentor and drove minutes to this store to purchase this mattress set only to find out that it's not what they had picturedIt's the old Bait & SwitchI had already drove all the way there and I needed to b

I *** *** ** *** purchased and financed a bedroom set for $1,and paid $cash
for the other two pieces, and every single piece is damagedI called them, and they do not resolve my
needsI have asked for a Manager to come look at this furniture and they told me that they do not do
thatThis furniture was delivered in boxes, put in my bedroom up-side downI removed the packaging
and it was damaged, scratched, drawers nickand they do not line-up, some are harder to shut
then others and they are non-compliant with me
This is not good for business by any meansI do not want to pay for the bedroom set but something
needs to be addressed
The resolution would be for me to pay half of what I own and live with it, because I will never deal with
this company againI do not want them to exchange new furniture for this because I do not know that
it would look like, it possibly

This is the worst store everFirst off, this store bribes their customers with a free lamp if you will write them a good review on either google or Facebook, so take all good reviews with a big grain of saltWe just got a new house and decided to check out American Freight in Washington, IL after receiving one of their flyersWe ended up making a $purchase from this god-awful place and they rewarded us by treating us like dirtWe went in to American Freight and picked out furniture 3-weeks ahead of our move in dateWe then scheduled the delivery for the day of our move in and paid in fullThe store told us that they’d pull all of our items for us and store all of our pieces for free, until the delivery dayWe had no contact from this store after thenWe called the store on the delivery day and they fed us some lie about how some of our items were backordered! How in the world is this the case when they told us that they were storing it for us weeks ago? The lady “Nikki” also wanted to charge us an additional $delivery fee at a later date, when it finally came in… Total scam! When they told us that the driver was finally headed out with the items they did have in stock for us, they said his phone was not working so they couldn’t give us any further updatesWe heard nothing from the driver and we called the store just before closing, only to find out that he hadn’t even left yet! They told us that the couches we paid for were somehow damaged, which I believe was an excuse or why wouldn’t they have called us? The worker we spoke to “Nikki” was so very rude and unapologetic that it is amazing this place still does businessShe even hung up on us at one point because she said we were keeping her there too late! When the driver did finally come out with only about half our stuff, it contained a damaged set of box springs, which had to be sent backNeedless to say, I had to call the corporate office and get the regional manager involved in order to sort this all outA couple days later, they made another attempt and finally delivered our couches, only for them to be damaged anyway! And…there was still a piece of furniture missing after this delivery! I will say that the regional manager did finally get all of our items to us and gave us a partial refund for the damaged couches and the trouble, so there is a small silver lining to this storyHowever, it did take about phone calls to the store and the regional manager, two failed delivery attempts, and a trip to the store to physical pick up the final piece in order to get all of our itemsMy advice to you is that you shouldn’t be fooled by their flyers and advertisements with deals that sound too good to be true, because they won’t be available when you goInstead, I believe that they hope you make the same mistake as we did and end up settling for some furniture pieces that are priced good, but not greatThen, they will likely proceed to make you go through heck to get itThis store has a terrible problem with communication and lying to customersThere are even more examples I could give, but this review is long enough alreadyAccording to their delivery drivers, this store constantly has to have management from the corporate office at the Washington store, trying to clean up the Washington store’s messesDo yourself a favor and avoid the headache of dealing with this placeThis place is one big scam

I bought a Hamilton Stewart king size mattress from American Freight in after about eight or nine months my mattress started to slump a little bit I called and they said it had to be inches deep and so I waited and called them again in because it got worse and they kept saying that I have a year warranty but then American Freight customer service personnel would call me back and say they cannot do anything that was in after that I called again in because my mattresses started to buckle on the side my box springs are made of cardboard my foot went through the cardboard while I was trying to change and move the mattress overeverything is poorly made and they have a very bad attitude as far as dealing with youthey are respectful in the beginning of the conversation but after that they tell you that they have a warranty but you but cant get a new mattressI spoke to a customer service rep named Susan in Columbus on January 4th and she was not helpfulShe

We first purchased a sectional from American Freight in We paid an extra $to have it delivered to us Upon delivery, we noticed that there was a tear at the back of the sectional We went back to have it exchanged but the one we purchased wasn't in stock We chose a different sectional that was in stock, and cheaper We decided to purchase the warranty that comes with it Manager informed us that it covers all accidents (pets, etc.) We were told that WE had to pay for delivery for the first one to be returned and the new one to be brought to us We thought it was pretty stupid, but agreed because we desperately needed the couch
The first time we put in a claim was just replacing a couple of the cushions as the material had been coming apart LESS than a year later It took two weeks before we decided to call and get an update They told us that it was approved and we could come in to get the cushions If we hadn't called, I don't think anyone would have informe

I bought a bed from them for my vacation home on the third time sleeping on it with be and my husband it fell in on us while we was sleeping in the middle of the night the supports broke holding the mattress up ( we are not heavy people ) , I took pictures and showed them what happen they said that the bed had been discontinued so they would fix it with the parts they had because they had a lot of them they send they third party person out who took the bed a part and the left saying he'd be back never Heard from them so finally call they said the guy said we jumped up and down on the bed why would adults jump up and down on a $bed now they say there's nothing they will do and keep giving us the run around this is clearly a low quilality bed or was put together wrong by them we had to pay $only in cash for them to put it together , this is dangerous and we could of been seriously hurt I'm in my 50's and have never had something like this happen

BUYER BEWARE! If you purchase here, make sure ADAM IS NOT YOUR SALES PERSON! Request ANYONE else! Not only was he on his phone the entire time while I spent $1,with him, he was so rude ANDHe straight up LIED to me about the frame and headboard included in the price I paid for the bed (mattress and box spring) he straight up LIED to my face and my mom as well since she was with meALSO, I called yesterday to mention it to the manager, Leroy (I never complainI am a very calm person and understand things happen everywhere but this was completely unacceptable) and Leroy never called me backI will be making a corporate complaint as well as the Revdex.com and possibly furtherHe was absolutely terribleDO NOT BUY FROM HERE !
Also not to mention the tables I got were such low quality that they didn't even align when putting them together! Not low priceslow quality!

I've been to American Freight a few times and never had a problem with receiving my furnitureThis time I order paid for in full for (two) mattresses, 1(one) foundation, and a dinning room table a week agoI was suppose to receive my product on Wednesday of that week because they didn't have a truck available until Wednesday which I agreed toNow everyday since Wednesday I been receiving a call stating that I wouldn't get my product until the next day and a mess up excuse saying the truck wasn't available or the manufacturer hasn't delivered the productI would think that customer should know rather you have product in stock or not before they pay for it, or make a commitment you can't keepI've call the regional vice president and still haven't received a call back yetThey are advertising this company because there is no such thing as same day or next day delivery

I purchased some furniture on 4/22/Order #***We have a one years manufacturers warranty, well the frame on the love seat stating coming apart in the back of the seating areaWe filed a claim on 11/19/onlineNow the frame has gotten worse and is completely falling down, so we are unable to sit on the love seat, and the arm on the couch is now coming apart from the couch

I purchased a mattress set and headboard from American freightThe day of my scheduled delivery the delivery company notified me that I would not be receiving the headboard due to the fact that it was damagedI then called the store whom never reached out to me about the issue and was told that I would be notified when the merchandise came inI then asked would I have to pay for delivery all over again ans waa told no at that timeOver a month later and multiple phone calls all of which were initiated by me, I still don't have my merchandise.The last phone conversation I spoke with a manager that said he would get back with me about the issue, that phone call nevwr cameFinally I did speak with the original salesperson who said they were getting the merchandise in and would call me to set up delivery and that never happenedI no longer want the merchandise or a store credit and won't be doing business with said company again

My experience with this store was the worseAs I write this review two months after my purchase I am still a few items short of my order that I paid for in Febuary and this is now April on top of waiting on them to come get the items that were delivered damagedThis has been the most stressful experience for me and they have refused time and time again to refund me my money after two months of waiting and waiting and excuse after excuse as to why I don't have my things I purchasedI wish I had all day to note the day by day stories they gave but I don't I just want "You All" to be aware of the set up with this company they told me my things would be delivered in three days from the purchase day now two months down the line I have whole br set half of br set with broken chest and bed frame and missing mirror and night stand and whole br set that has yet to comeplease save yourself the agany and "DO PURCHASE FROM AMERICAN FREIGHT FURNITURE STORE"!!!!!

I guess first with the manager Alex, he is the one that sealed the dealWe were first hesitant on going back to the store because of a bad experience regarding bed frames that we purchased and didn't needBut upon the GREAT sales game Alex GOT we fell for the okie dokeWe were told that the store had replaced everyone and under new managementHe even so called put a so call great deal together for us because of our situationWe had an apartment fire and lost everythingSo besides the stress of trying to start over with everything, this business has made it INCREASINGLY stressfulNext we have Hunter the asst manager who has hung up in my face, displayed very bad customer service.We had paid for our furniture a month in advance ahead of time because we had a place, but the owner changed his mind, so we had to find another living spacewe have paid over in this store only to be treated like a nothingMoney talks in this place, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A GREAT HUSTLE GAMEIf you're looking for QUALITY furniture and Customer service skills DONT GO THEREWe had to pay 245, $ of that was for delivery fee and the rest was to put furniture togetherwhich was an independent companyThe furniture was wet and frame on chaise was broken and the ottoman zipper was stuck so we couldn't get legs out to put onI contacted the store and had to argue with HUNTER that we had furniture for a while and broke itI told HUNTER if I did per Alex The store manager I have a lifetime warranty on all the piecesSo after getting a decent response from Alex the chaise was picked up and another one was delivered but different color it was than asked that we can change to that color we didn't want that color so than the display was bought to our home wrapped in plastic but all torn on the cornersSo after several attempts and a lot of stressful conversations with the employees and managers Alex called and said we can replace itChoose something else for equal value, it was delivered the next day The Big Watson SectionalWe paid for sectional and something for ottoman so it was considered an even swapWell the delivery would of been great if we had all of the pieces So when the swap was delivered all couches but no ottoman, sooooooo they picked up bad furniture the other sectional but left the ottoman, So again having to call and get this resolved became a issueMy husband was hung up on by CLUELESS CAROL who don't need to be in any customer service position and than to HUNTER who in his own little disrespectful way tried to resolveMy husband than asked for a district manager or regional manager contact info and was given Jason info and we were told that he would deliver the ottoman that was around 4pmIt is now 8:and Jason has been coming per Hunter for at least a hour and a halfOver $to be treated like a worthless nothingThe saying is TRUE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FORLord I wish we would of went somewhere else
