I was in the American Freight store in Knoxville, TN yesterday I feel like the business is ran a little shady though First of all, we waited over an hour to have the couch and loveseat I purchased to be brought from the storeroom, in the same bldg The guy bringing it to us, kept banging it into the wall and the plastic was barely covering itI had just spent $1200, you would think they would take care of thingsI looked over what I could see and it looked ok when we got it to the truck I was NEVER asked to inspect or sign anything about the condition of itI guess all sales are final, so you don't require your staff to take care of things
Then, when we got home and brought it into the house, we went to put the legs on the couch and one would not go in, as the metal bracket in the loveseat seemed too small for the leg I called the store and the person on the phone was Very rudehe laughed and told me the holes were hard to find I informed him that if he would listen t

I purchased a King size head and foot board with railsImmediately the sales associated *** informed me that the product was not in stock, mind you I just made the purchase with her and she was claiming they had itAlso my business partner was in the store the previous evening and picked it out and had the product number and amount the store had in stockThere is a big sign behind the counter that states that the is no cash refunds, but the sales representative is suppose to make sure the item is in stock before the purchase is made*** was very rude after she realized her mistake and blamed it on lack of warehouse staffI was not asking for delivery as I was there with a truck and ample help to load the productsShe then stated that it would be delivered for free the following day*** the store manager is who I spoke to next following a hour wait to see if this would be resolvedHe apologized for his employee not doing her job properly and said he would take care of i

I called the Carnegie office and explained to them that the furniture I purchased was sagging on the end of the couch and a little bit of the same on the love seat, The person on the phone said no problem just send us a picture of the problem and since you purchased the warranty that you will receive new furniture I did what he asked and e-mailed a few picturesI waited about three weeks and called the store again because I did not hear anythingThey said please send them again that the manager di not see themI waited for a few more weeks and still no phone callSo I called again and the person on the phone said come to the store on Saturday and pick out what furniture you want because what I purchased was no longer available, so on Saturday Me and my husband want down and picked out what we wanted , then the manger said we had to call the warranty company first, but don't worry you have the warranty it will not be a problem we have to go through them firstThey said call toda

We have tried to contact this customer but with no avail. Mr*** can have a store credit of the amount on his receipt or can replace this piece with the amount on his receipt and for his convenience he can receive a $free upgrade on his choice to replace his piece. If

I know the phone calls are recordedSince you've been listening to them, then you heard the guardian reptell me that my first phone call was late AprilYou also heard on the first phone call that guardian couldn't register me that only the store I purchased the warranty from could and it should only take 45min to fax the paperworkSo what's your point with all this? It doesn't change the fact that it took almost two months to get registeredIt doesn't change the fact that American freight customer service did not responded to any of my phone calls for over a month and half about getting registered, nor did they bother to notify me when they finally got around to it. Nor does it change the fact that when I did get a hold of customer rep for American freight they were completely inappropriate, hanging up on me at least times, not listening, constantly interrupting me, correcting my languageThose phone calls are recorded too. I'm glad Guardian is taking the insinuative to solve this problemEven thou American freight being the source of the problem can't seem to do their job and are relying on someone else to do it for them. why would I want to keep a warranty that would force me to maintain contact with an verbal abusive company such as American freight has beenI want a refund so I don't have to keep doing this every time I make a claim. really I seem to be repeating myself over and over with my responsesI can't dumb it down any further for American freightSo will no longer be responding past this pointIf American freight would like to make amends and save facethey have my credit card info to refund me if not, well all this is public record for everyone to seeits not my job on the line

They openly admitted that they use pictures online to bring in customersWhen I told the as manager that they did not have the same mattress as online and wanted to sell me a futone mattress he told me that I could purchase elsewhere if I can afford and corporate was very rude hung up in my face and told me they use pictures

I've been to American Freight a few times and never had a problem with receiving my furnitureThis time I order paid for in full for (two) mattresses, 1(one) foundation, and a dinning room table a week agoI was suppose to receive my product on Wednesday of that week because they didn't have a truck available until Wednesday which I agreed toNow everyday since Wednesday I been receiving a call stating that I wouldn't get my product until the next day and a mess up excuse saying the truck wasn't available or the manufacturer hasn't delivered the productI would think that customer should know rather you have product in stock or not before they pay for it, or make a commitment you can't keepI've call the regional vice president and still haven't received a call back yetThey are advertising this company because there is no such thing as same day or next day delivery

I have had this couch for about a year nowSince I got it I have been getting bitten upKept thinking it was fleasKept bombing for fleasWell it is infested with bed bugsI haven't found any in my bedroom just on this couchWhen I called the store they said, we haven't had any other complaints and the bugs did not come from here and he hung up on me

On 3/7/I received delivery of several items of furniture that I had purchased The condition of several pieces was unsatisfactoryScrews were falling out if the recliner, both recliners on the couch are not level with the rest of the couch and the recliners will not recline properlyI refused delivery and called the store manager to complainHe offered to replace the items and re-deliver on 3/8/I agreed to thisOn 3/8/delve occurred again with the items in the same conditionI tried to refuse delivery but, ultimately I had to acceptI called the corporate office and spoke with the General Manager to refuse the deliveryThe GM transfered me to the accounting department who hung up on me twice! I called one more time and spoke with the GM againHe indicted he would try to resolve my issueHowever, I have not received any communication at allI really want this furniture out if my home and my money returned

The salespeople would not give any assistance as to when our furniture would be delivered after the contracted delivery service picked up the furniture They advised us they were not responsible anymoreWe called the business back to get the driver's cell to contact the driver but was disconnected three times After finally getting the driver's cell we made arrangements to get delivery the next day When the furniture arrived the driver told us he would have to go Akron for the love seat as they didn't have it at the store The driver delivered the loveseat days later

I asked the salesman about the refund policy before I purchase my items because I was going out of town the next dayThe salesman told me as long as I had my receipt there would be no problemWell a few weeks later I found out that my job was moving me to CANADA so I asked for a refund and was told I had to wait weeks to receive my refund by mailwhich at the time was NO problem at the time until I notice my time was getting close to me moving and the entire time NO CALLS NO NOTHING from this companyI almost lost my job waiting on a refund that I am still waiting onThis company is very misleading when it comes to getting a refund and I think there policy needs to be changed

On 1/25/we placed a couch set in layaway being put under the impression that the set would be ready for pick up once we came and paid in fullWe paid in full on 1/25/and were informed that they only had the love seat available and were very sorry they would have it in store the following Tuesday 2/11/because the worker would personally go pick it up from a store close in locationWe only had a truck for the current day and they offered to deliver it to us for freeWhen we paid with a check we were told it would take days for the check to clear and they would deliver it 2-16-That was totally understandable and we agreed2-16-16, my husband called and spoke with the store and was told that yes they were on schedule to deliver on that date, they would call when they were close byAround o'clock my husband called again and was told that they were just headed to Goodletsville to retrieve the couch (we were put under the impression they already had) and if time all

On April we expected the delivery of the ABILENE Tabacco Reclining Sofa between 3:00- 9:00pmUpon calling the Erie Blvd store numerous times we were informed that the couch was in the truck and was in transit for deliveryAt 9:pm we received a call from someone stating he was the delivery driver and the truck was broken down in Watertown NY which is approximately 1/hrs north of were we liveAlso when he checked the mercahandise he had in the truck it was Not the couch we had orderedOn April I contacted the Erie Blvd store andspike to Nathan who is the store manager to explain the situationHe informed me that the couch we ordered has not even been ordered yet and he was unaware of the situation that occurred the pervious dayI informed him that his employees stated to be that they had the right couch on the truck which was not the caseAlso he informed it would be another 3-weeks to receive the correct couch since it was never ordered in the first placeI

AF has called the customer and left him a voicemail to call me back. AF has the piece that we are missing to the replacement bed being mailed from ***, it will be here By Wednesday of next week at the latestonce it is in, AF has already set up with my drivers to go to the
customer's house on a day of his choosing to replace the broken bedI will let you know when this has been completed

I ordered furniture from this company over months agoWithin an hour of bringing it home we discovered both the love seat and couch were brokeWe called to have them exchange it out where they said they wouldWe set up different times for them to exchange it and it never happenedI then contacted the VP of the company and he switched the couch but not the love seatWe called and they said they would switch the love seat but instead brought another couchI got the furniture 2/27/and on 4/13/they brought the couchon 4/17/they brought the other couch instead of the love seat

We bought sofas that fell apartSo American Freight said I have a pair that is much better qualitySo they exchanged the sofasThen those fell apartSo I complained to the corporate office and they exchanged for what he said was excellent qualityTheses two sofas have caved in inside the seatingLike the last sofas all didI am very upset because I offered to get a more expensive set and pay the difference for bettter qualityThan the sofas we had been gettingHe guaranteed me they wouldn't fall apart and so they didWe don't hardly use the sofasI expect to use the $credit for this last pair and pay $for a more dependable set

Product- decent furniture, serving its purpose for my motherCustomer service- SUCKS TO THE HIGHEST, professionalism is in the bottom of the barreltrying to get an issue resolved due to miscommunication and misunderstanding understandings and/or deliberately falsified informationUpon getting approved for credit for purchase I specifically asked the sales associate if that was a monthly payment , he confirmed several times in fact even showing me the paper work stating that it was to going to be my MONTHLY payment, however week later I received a call from financial department stating my payments are weekly and was requested another payment outside the scheduled payment date After trying numerous times to explain and ask for understanding I kept being passed around as well as shuffled as someone they really didn't care to help or show any concern forDealing with my mother in hospital fighting cancer and having to leave to deal with this foolishnessEven from leadership , the quality of service was not at all present or represented from a company who prides themselves on customer service , is extremely horribleI have spread and recommended all my family and friends as well as future potential customer to RUN to another source for furniture, DO NOT come to american freight, ESPECIALLY do not get anything financed, bunch of liars
