4.Jan- My month old daughter was diagnosed with RSVWe were transported by AMR from one hospital to another (Total trip billed miles)We ended up staying the night at the hospital and released the next day1.May- We received our first bill from AMRYes that's correct almost months laterWe had two immediate issues with the bill#Wife's name spelled incorrectly #Insurance company was incorrect Being that the insurance company was incorrect inevitably meant the insurance information was incorrectThis bill arrives in the amount of $1,We immediately contact AMR and inform them of their mistakeMay- Our insurance company pays their max amount of $(After contacting insurance company was informed this is the standard amount paid for what was provided)8.May- We receive newly updated bill in the amount of $We again contact AMR for a detailed explanation of why these charges are so highThey explain to us they are not under contract with any insurance company, that they are a private company and can charge rates how they see fitAt this point we ask if there is any way to have the charges adjusted in order to have a bill that does not appear to be gouging a customerWe were immediately informed about their program to lower the bill if we did not make enough money (we would have to practically supply them with our taxes)We disagreed and requested that we negotiate and come to something we can both agree onWe were told there is no adjusting the prices, they are what they are, if I cant afford it they can help as long as I supply them all my financial infoAt this point we decided to point out how ridiculous their pricing wasCharge #- Base Rate $We asked what does the base rate coverWe were told it covers basic life support with the addition of oxygen, CPR, splinting, etc etcAt this point I asked why we were also being charge for the oxygen ($55.89) if it was covered under the base rateShe responded that oxygen was a separate chargeI then asked her to repeat what was covered under the base rate charge again, and again I was told "oxygen, CPR, splinting, basic life support needs"To which I asked again if oxygen was covered under the base rate why am I being charged for oxygen, to which she again replied, "if oxygen is used then it gets billed as a separate charge"At this point I could see we were going in a non-productive circleSo on to charge #Charge #- Mileage $Might I remind you we went miles!!!!! That's $15.53/miI began to point out I work on diesel vehicles and I am well aware of how egregious this pricing wasHere's the break down of how insulting this cost really isA Mid-Range engine in an ambulance type vehicle will get on the low end MPGThe mileage billed was miles, therefore gallons of fuelLet's round up diesel fuel to an even $3/galThat comes out to $Now it's not unheard of for a company to wrap a "usage" fee in to mileage or what might be called a "depreciation" costOn average a company will amount cents to cents per mile, so lets go on the high end againThat becomes $3.85/mi X gal = $that total cost comes out to cents LESS than what they charge PER MILE!!!!! At this point the lady decided to send me to Customer Advocacy and we agreedFast forward to today (14.Jun.2017) I called back to see if any progress had been made, I was informed non had been made but they will forward my dispute to Customer AdvocacyI'm pretty sure I'll get the same response I got last time they sent me to CA, which was noneSo for anyone looking in to using this company, I stress steer clearFind the OTHER ambulance waiting, I promise they wont be as bad as this company

July 28, [redacted] [redacted] RE: Billing Inquiry Revdex.com Case#: [redacted] Dear Revdex.com: Thank you for taking the time to contact our office with the consumer’s concerns American Medical Response values our customers, and strives to provide quality service American Medical Response reviewed the consumer’s account and confirmed a valid address was not received at the time of service If we do not have a valid address on file, the account may be turned over to an outside agency as they have higher capability to locate current contact information At this time, the account has been cancelled from collections and the consumer’s insurance has been billed Should the consumer have further questions, I may be contacted directly at [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted]

I took an ambulance ride and it was covered by third party insurance but somehow AMR was sending bills to an address I lived at years ago, which I most certainly did not give themI began getting calls from a shady company that seemed like a scamI got curious because they had so much information on the ambulance trip that it seemed like they might have been legitAfter calling AMR, my account actually was sent to collectionsAMR's explanation for how they got this address was due to some sort of database search and it seems like they were quite negligent in such a way that would lead to consumers getting their accounts sent to collections without them ever getting an invoiceAfter speaking with a manager, they state that all of this is automated and that they had an address that was most likely a misspelled version of my current address

I paid the bill for ambulance serviceI received another bill stating it was not paidIt took hours on phone for them to realize they took the money and paid another person's bill Then, they had to refundIt's been months and the refund is still not processed They couldn't put the money I paid to MY billThey had me send money again for my billThey STILL send me bills and can not find my paymentThis is the fourth month on the phone for an hour---'we have no record of your payment' My bank says, 'Paid'I have to print and send them verification I'm sure I'll get another bill next month I'm only and can get online, do online bill pay, find the numbers, and am computer savvyWhat about my mom (94) and others? If they couldn't do all this scrambling around to show them 'I paid!!-again', the elders must be getting scammed! Terrible service, the bill pay folks do not know what they are doing! It's really sadIf we have to call again I need to say

On August 29, I was transported in an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance in Las Vegas, NevadaI was uninsured at the time so on top of accruing medical debt to the hospital and the physician for ~$5,255, I also accrued debt to AMR for $Finding myself unemployed and with other outstanding student and personal debt, I qualified for Medicaid in October However, Medicaid was not able to cover my medical expenses from August I petitioned for debt forgiveness/reduction to all of these companies, because I am a young college graduate that wanted to be responsible and proactive about my debt, but who also could not afford over $6,in medical debtI faxed a letter explaining my situation to AMR in November They mailed me a Compassionate Care application from the Modesto, CA office, and I filled it out but was notified in writing in December that my application had been deniedI researched online and found that I had days to petition AMR’s decisio

On 2/16/18, I received a pre-collection notice that provided days to respond or payThis notice was not based on business days or include any mail time which was received at nearly the end of the periodThe letter also advised me to work with my insurance company which issued the proper amountThe letter did allow for payments to be mailed within days and I attempted to pay my bill in full online for the weekend after the 10th day (which would have been a total of less than days with mail time) and was blocked by the systemI called to pay on the following Monday and the representative would not accept payment as the bill had been transferredThey were unable to provide any information about who should receive payment, but advised that I would be charged daily interest until it was paidI asked for a manager call back and never received oneIt now has been a month since this letter, weeks of interest, and weeks since I called and never received the call backFunny thing is that they have a customer who wishes to pay them in full and, not only are they preventing me from doing so, they are willingly blocking and stonewalling me from doing so as they transferred to another company that has never contacted me or told me how to payI'm guessing it must be in the collection company's interest to not contact me and AMR is complicit by not sharing their info with meFurthermore, they failed to return a call as I was advised that a manager was "not available at the moment" and would call within business days (which is longer than a moment) and still never called

I pay my bills onlineOn OctI was paying my bills and ACCIDENTLY ticked to pay [redacted] $INSTEAD of my [redacted] bill I called and they can't help me because I don't have a trip number (I don't have a bill & I don't owe them anything so no trip number) nor do I have an account number (I don't have a bill and I don't owe them anything so I don't have an account number)I have proof that on Octthe check was presented, endorsed and cleared by my bank account at Bank of the West

My daughter was taken about one mile via AMR ambulance in [redacted] for a panic attackThe trip took less than five minutes at night and those who accompanied her confirmed that she received no medi**l **re en route to the ERWe received a bill for over $2120, the large majority of which was for "BLS." Having spoken with customer service and the advo**te at AMR, I am informed that they consider it to be BLS whether they provided medi**l **re or not and BLS **n mean taking one's vitalsHaving worked in medi**l **re for a de**de and as a BLS instructor, I **n assure you that BLS refers to Basic Life Support, which is an Ameri**n Heart term for health**re provider level CPR, not taking vitalsTaking vitals involves checking one's pulse, maybe blood pressure, and maybe blood oxygen levels (which is done via a pulse oximeter, a little device clamped over the tip of a finger) The advo**te tells me that they provided a service and there is no way to dispute the charge even i

I am filing a complaint due to incorrect billing Date of service: 02/05/ The patient is my year old daughterHer name: [redacted] *** Account No: 005146954- Trip # [redacted] I have received a bill from American Medical Response for my two years old daughter ( [redacted] ***) for an ambulance service Total bill: $ Payment Received by AMR: $ Remaining balance is: $ Disputed charges: 1) The bill shows items that never been doneThis includes: a- IV Drip supplies $ b- Glucometer use $ c- Defib Electrodes $ 2) The bill also show charges for items that should not be in the bill because they are not real servicesThese items are part of doing medical business and usually healthcare businesses don't charge for themThey are items Total of: $ I called the billing office a few times trying to exp

On October 8, I was attending the Fall Festival in [redacted] when I was injured by a medical scooter backing up on to my foot Before I knew what was going on I was surrounded by EMTs I was told by the employees of AMR that without a doubt my foot was broken and probably crushed and I needed immediate attention I refused transport three separate times only to be pressured into allowing them to take me to the hospital They kept telling me how badly injured I was and that if I didn't receive immediate attention I could sustain further irreparable damage I told them my family could take me but they insisted on continuing treatment and wouldn't let my family near me They stated that due to the urgency of the situation, if they took me I would be seen immediately but if my family took me it would be hours of waiting Finally, due to the level of pain I was in, and there refusal to hear my refusal of service, I allowed them to take me Not only was my foot not brok

Daughter was transported by AMR/ [redacted] 7/27/ Received bill for around early September Finally learned in end of October insurance was not payingPaid the amount with our credit card first week of November February learned AMR/ [redacted] turned us over to [redacted] for collection in November of TWO YEARS AFTER THE BILL WAS PAID Called AMR and their response was "You should have paid your bill!" [redacted] took the credit card payment confirmation number and said we were goodNow [redacted] wants a statement from AMR/ [redacted] stating we paid them AMR [redacted] only will send a statement to me showing a zero balance but without any pay information or date was paidNor will they contact [redacted] to clear the account - because it is not their problem It is inconceivable that someone is sent to collections two years later for a paid in full account!

Billing for AMR is an absolute joke! I called the 2nd week of August to confirm my payoff I had an amount of $ The rep was adamant it was $ I was also told once I make that payment NO more payments would be drafted I had no other choice but to make that payment amount On 8-13, I made the full payment On 8-26, I received a refund for $77.76, which oddly enough was the difference in what I knew my balance was On 8-29, I wake up to find another $has been deducted from my account I called right away because I knew my house payment wouldn't clear All I got was someone with poor English, who kept saying it would be there in 3-days I asked to speak with a manager but conveniently no one was in He said would forward this on but I never received a call Frantic about my near $house payment, I called again Once again, get someone who has poor English, said it would be another 3-days Once again, I ask for a manager but no one is there I finall

I used services from this business in March It is now October Despite nine phone calls to this company, they have refused to send me an updated, accurate bill for their ambulance servicesMy insurance company sent them an Explanation of Benefits months ago, yet they continue to send me copy after copy of the inaccurate bill that does not reflect my insurance discountsEach time I call back, they act like they have no idea what I'm talking about and have never received information about my concernsThey also refuse to let me speak to the previous person that I've spoken to, meaning that months and months have elapsed without this billing issue being resolved, despite my diligent efforts to do soIt is absolutely ridiculous that I have to put forth so much effort to try to pay a bill

My wife has made numerous attempts for American Medical Response (AMR) to file their claim to our insurance companyI have documentation of the insurance card being faxed to AMR, the insurance card emailed to the collection agency (Kent Hollins Attorney at Law), and documentation from our insurance stating no claim was ever filledAMR representatives were told several times that our insurance will not accept the claim after months from the original date of serviceThe original date of service was on 2/19/AMR did not make the claim to my insurance therefore I should not be held responsible and the collection of the account should be voided

My son was transported by AMR in January They used old (2013) information in their system and sent the bill to the wrong address and processed the insurance claim through his previous insurance account The bill was sent to collections in June This was the first notice that we had of the bill Collections set up to take $ for months to settle the account, starting June 30, I called the AMR billing office on July 10, to correct the billing address, insurance and to attempt to resolve the bill outside of collections I was able to correct the information but the account remained in collections Upon request, I received an invoice dated 7/11/showing charges of $and a $balance due I continued to pursue having the bill submitted to my son's current insurance provider, and finally received a denial from the insurance company dated 11/6/ Two weeks later, I received a new invoice from AMR showing a payment of $(collection

I received a precollection notice from AMR for Trip [redacted] which supposedly occurred in [redacted] on 5/16/ I don't live in [redacted] , nor have I ever had a relationship or interaction with AMRAMR has never transported me and this trip was not meThey are attempting to fraudulently pursue me for a service I have never used, never contracted with, and have, until receipt of this letter never had any contact with whatsoever I submitted a request for debt validation under FCRA and have not received a response
