On 11/1/15, we utilized AMR to transport our ventilator dependent son home from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia We received an invoice from AMR and I contacted them in December (I'm unsure of the exact date) and was told by AMR that they had "not received a response" from our primary insurance (Highmark) and that they could not proceed and bill the secondary insurance until a denial was received from the primary insurance I went online and printed the denial and faxed it to them immediately, and contacted AMR to assure that it had been received I was assured that it had been received and that they would be billing United (secondary insurance) immediately and that I could disregard the bill I'd received In February 2016, I again received an invoice for the same date of service, contacted AMR and had the EXACT SAME conversation with them, again faxed the denial from Highmark and was assured that they would bill the secondary insurance Today (3/26/16) I received ANOTHER

My husband was transported by AMR to our local hospital on 2/22/ At the time of transport, AMR representatives were given his DL and Insurance card with complete information The hospital and other providers managed to file insurance properly , get paid and bill us for our portion WE NEVER RECEIVED anything from AMR and then tonight we received a call from a collection agency Credence, saying the account was sent to collections and we owed the full amount A call to AMR echos what others have complained about , they said they didn't receive a complete contact address and the insurance info was incomplete So attempts to file and then to contact us were all returned Their representative said that he had no way of knowing if I was right or not that their reps had complete information But they could not call back the information from the collection agency however, they would forward the correct information for them to file Since ALL complaints on here are similar

On April 06, 2017, this company was called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving me as the injured partyBecause of the nature of the crash, motorcycle (me) vs car, someone called for an emergency medical responseI did not not ask for their response, nor did I accept any type of medical care from themThey did not give me any type of RMA (refusal of Medical Attention) form to sign, nor did I get the option to not go to the hospital with themBarely a couple weeks after the crash, I received a bill for almost $from these people stating I owed THEM money for their service After calling their completely useless customer service number, which gave no clear cut way to speak to someone, the person I finally spoke to had no knowledge of anything going on, was merely a bill collector They transferred me to another line that only accepted voice messages, by which no one returned my callsSubsequently, after calling multiple times, I left messages to speak to someone i

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:On several occasions, American Medical Response conceded to Cigna's claim that they were under a national contractAll invoices would go away for a few months, then out of nowhere they would start billing me again, and I would have to go through the whole process of calling Cigna, having to explain the full situation to the latest Cigna representative, and then they would call AMR, get everything cleared up again, and then the process would repeatIt is very clear that AMR does not have a good handle on their billing department. This harassment from AMR has caused me to relive the worst day in my life over and over again; the day my month old little girl was barely breathing from pertussisAMR took my daughter to Rady Children's Medical and checked her in incorrectly as a year old boy! The doctor was in shock when she realized they had given the wrong paperworkI knew at that time there was something not right about this company, American Medical Response, and had I been of sound mind I would have taken legal action again them at this time.I am not using the work harassment lightlyI expect AMR to honor their contract with Cigna, and leave me aloneMy family has been through enough from such a poorly run company Sincerely, [redacted]

From September to December 31, 2016, I was insured by [Primary] health insuranceOn December 19, 2016, I had to be taken to the hospital via ambulanceThe ambulance company was American Medical Response (AMR)At the hospital I had provided them with both insurances informationI have had to use AMR before and AMR had my insurance information as wellHowever, AMR did not bill my insurance correctly for this trip as they have in the past Instead, AMR billed my secondary insurance, on December 21, and it was processed on December 22, My secondary insurance sent me an Explanation of Benefits dated January 13, denying the claim because my primary health insurance needed to be billedI had called AMR to notify them that they had billed the wrong insurance and confirmed with them that they had my primary health insurance on fileAt that time, AMR let me know they would resubmit the claim In March 2016, I received a “Pre-collection Notice” from AMR stating t

I keep receiving bills in the mail from AMR They don't have my last name on the bill, just first and middle name and are threatening to turn my account over to a collections agency "which may adversely affect your credit score." The big problem is I've never had to use an ambulance in my life I've called them several times with no relief It looks and feels like a complete scam by this company

Billed for amount that my insurance Explanation of Benefits shows should not be billed to meI have contacted the company directly to clear the charges and get sent to a phone call center in [redacted] asking for my social security numberI have contacted my insurance company and they have explained to me not to pay the amount and this illegal to billI have tried to do a conference call between my insurance and AMR but they don't answer their phonesPlease reference Trip # [redacted] with amount due of $

What an utter disgrace I was treated by AMR paramedics and driven less than a mile to the hospital on 11th Dec On New Years Eve I received a bill from them, so I filled out the required insurance information My wife was hospitalized that day (she has Stage IV cancer) so I didn't post the letter until 2nd Jan Pretty reasonable, I'd say On 1/11/I receive a final notice threatening legal action, collections etc (that I see from below seems to be pretty common) Note, this is the second time they have contacted me I call them and they immediately start trying to get personal information from me, before even knowing why I am calling I decline before they confirm that they have not received my insurance details yet Seems like a long timeI ask them if they think it is reasonable to be harassing people who they absolutely know have been medically treated less than a month ago and who they also know have only been informed of their bill less than two weeks ago? They didn't seem interested I am not even particularly bothered for me, but I am thinking of other families going through hell, elderly people, people with sick kids etc I don't even know why a company like this exists?

My Issue is about billing and serviceFor the billing, I was billed yet I am covered percent by my insuranceThe worst part is that they even submitted to a collection agencyMy anon issue is serviceTheir job is ambulance/emergency, however, it seem that it defeat their propose on my caseMy healthcare provider called them from to transport my baby from a clinic building to a hospital buildingThe doctor already alerted the hospital about my baby's arrival and set up the bed and RN ready, however, this ambulance company (AMR) told me when me and my baby is already inside the ambulance that the hospital across the street where the physician arranged for the hospital admission is full and needs to be transferred to another hospital which is mile awayMore money for AMR since it is fartherHowever, the hospital which is miles away does not have a PEDIATRIC UNIT that cater to my babyI have to wait a few hours from the emergency department to call another ambulance to

I was told that my son would be transported within one hour of being accepted to next facility should have been 7am meanwhile they had to treat him as an adult that's all they were trained to due ambulance finally shows up driver reports he has to go get fuel is gone for almost an hour finally they get on the road somewhere in the Oclock hour now I'm being treated to phone calls daily when I'm usually at work ask them to call back later they never do always someone else calls next day have to go over everything again feels like talking in circles one person said they could escalate the case for a discount of there ridiculous charges but no one follows through or can tell me why it's so much for th ere service other than out of network we charge what ever we want

AMR provided ambulance service to my in Augbetween a the [redacted] ER center and MH hospital in [redacted] TX AMR submitted a claim to my insurance for approximately $1944.00, of which my insurance paid $ The remainder ($1388) was never billed to me and instead forwarded to a collection agency in NovI only found out about this unpaid amount in Novduring a routine check of my credit report When I contacted AMR billing, I was told they couldn't tell me what address they sent my bill to because of HIPAA issues and that I'd need to contact the collection agency When I called the collection agency, they told me the address they had on file without hesitating...it was wrong Why AMR (and the collection agency) had an incorrect address, I have no idea (I live at and own my home, have a driver's license, utility accounts and voting records at my correct address Furthermore, they never tried to contact me through my phone or email, both of which were cor
