In September 2014, I was essentially forced to ride in AMR ambulances for transfer from one hospital to anotherBack in and 2015, I recall experiencing several billing issues with AMRNow, a year and a half later, I thought it was overI was wrongNot long ago, I received a bill for $100, indicating my insurance had paid most of the billI called AMR, and the rep I spoke to said my insurance was reworking the claim, or something, and that it wasn't actually a bill (even though it had a return envelope to send a check in)Now, for the same claim, I just received a new bill for $I no longer use the same insurance, but when I log onto my old insurance's website and look at claims, all I can see is that the claim was paid in December of I have received no correspondence from my old insurance company indicating that the payment was reversedI am very confused, but whenever I have called in the past, the customer service people don't seem to know anythingLast time

My son was in an accident, the paramedics who responded stood there and did nothing to help while his friends were seeing about himThey did not put a neck brace on him or even help him onto the stretcherThey were more concerned about what he was on (which was nothing) than helping himHe has fractures in his back and had emergency surgery to check for internal injuries

On 1/7/my husband had symptoms of a stroke in the middle of the night, I called and AMR arrived, loaded him, and took him to the hospital (St.Dominic)A month or so later we received a bill for $The bill was sent to me, [redacted] , and also listed me, [redacted] , as the patient I called the number and told the person that answered that my husband, [redacted] was the patient, I didn't even ride with him and followed in my carThey were going to refill the insurance and I was told to wait on a corrected billAnother month passed and we received the bill again, this time saying "late notice", but still not corrected and still listing me as patient We both called that week to re tell the correct info and we're told it would be fixedSince then I have received late notice after notice and phone callsStill, we would call but never get anywhereNow a letter from [redacted] , saying the account has now been placed with [redacted]

This is the worst business I have ever dwelt withThe EMT people were fine except they didnt put down my complete address and AMR thought since I had not responded, that I must not want to pay and sent it to collections I talked to them and they removed itThen we set up electronic withdrawl for the billThey attempted to take money out and it came up all zeros on my acct in bankSo what ever they did didn't work out well for them so they sent me a late notice..Then I put in for worthy helpThe hospital told me to send my paper work to them alsoThe hospital wrote off the billBut AMR who charged me over $to drive me miles would not hear of helping meSo I called them again because during this they are still sending me late noticesNow I just called them to make arrangementsThey will not take any less then $a month ( of which I cant afford)BUT if I do it electronic through the bank it would be $a month..I tried that one beforeThis company scares meI have been out sourced to the Philippines a couple of times alsoHow do I know my info is not going out of countryWhat kind of business is this? The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing..How can they forse my hand on how much my payment will be and if not threaten to send me to collectionsI have worked hard to keep everything out of collections

In early February I called American Medical Response (AMR) to request trasport to a doctor appointment on February 20, from the nursing facility I was staying inI called AMR at phone number [redacted] and spoke with a woman named ***She quoted me a cost of $76.00, stated that I would need to give the driver a check, and told me the trip number was [redacted] On the day of the trip I had to tell the driver I needed to give him my check, because he didn't knowHe put my check (# [redacted] drawn on [redacted] ***) on the console of the van after I gave it to himThey still haven't cashed that checkNow, all these months later, I got a letter dated 6/19/from American Medical Response-WFL, [redacted] , phone number [redacted] quoting trip number [redacted] They are stating that I owe an additional $38.00, previosly got an invoice stating my account is past due & payable now, and they will be turning me in for collectio

I have been dealing with a bill from American Medical Response now for two yearsI have documentation and proof that [redacted] *** Insurance, Claim # [redacted] has paid them, with proof of a canceled check in the amount of $American Medical Response sent me to a collections agency so I had to have proof of the check and I've been on the phone numerous times with the Claims specialist, Steve H [redacted] from [redacted] ***I thought everything was taken care of and now I receive ANOTHER bill from AMR in the amount of $and so I called to dispute the charge and I asked for a supervisorThey had me on the phone for close to an hour of waiting to speak to someone about this error and that I have already paid [redacted] also emailed them with proof of the checkI am not sure what else to do, but I am tired of being harassed with bills that have already been paid with my claim

on 07/18/my wife suffered a stroke at work and coworkers called first then called me I was informed that they were taking her to a hospital that was miles from her office I met them there and she got treatment Then I recvd a bill for an additional mileage charge of $ Neither my wife (who couldn't speak at the time ) or I authorized the trip seeing how there was a hospital less then miles away I feel taking advantage of someone that is going through the most traumatic time in there life is wrong and want to be reimbursed for the extra mileage !

Bill has been paid but company applied to an earlier charge even though all documents sent and notes in original check specified how to apply paymentWe had not received earlier bill the company applied our payment toWhen received second request to pay , I requested details billing and records from themUpon receipt of that information, the bill was paid 5/and check cleared on 6/ Continued phone calls are harassingindividual received service is diagnosed with brain cancer...this company's inadequate record keeping and harrassment is causing undue stress to individual and family members
