I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have made contact with Ms. Tammy K[redacted] (Ashely Furniture Consumer Affairs Office) on more than one occasion.  Apparently, Ms. K[redacted] does not value the reputation of her employer, neither is she earnestly concerned about remedying this matter.  Ashley Furniture will not market and sell defective furniture and be allowed to casually walk away from any responsibility.  If this matter cannot be reconciled here, it will be elevated to Consumer Affairs at the Governor's Office - eventually their attention will be earned.  Please do not close this complaint.Respectfully,[redacted]

I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] in regards to needing one photo of the dresser to show that the area is not rings left by liquid. warranty booklet Ms.[redacted] should have received with her furniture, “If a
problem should arise which you feel is covered by our Limited Warranties,
contact the Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. authorized retailer from whom you
purchased your furniture.”

This merchant, [redacted], is the authorized dealer of Ashley Furniture. It is very basic business integrity that Ashley Furniture should not allow any merchant to use Ashley brand, logo, etc. to cheat and fraud customers. So far this merchant has not either refund me money or delivereded me merchandise. I request Ashley to suspend this merchant's dealer account with Ashley. Otherwise this merchant will use Ashley brand name to cheat more and more customers. It is very fundamental business responsibility and morality.

Hello,   We are very sorry to hear Mr. [redacted] has chosen not to accept my response to his Revdex.com claim.   The below email was sent to Mr. [redacted]:   I have closely reviewed the information you provided. Unfortunately, the store will not be able to assist you with your claim. It has been noted that you purchased in February 2012, therefore your manufacturer’s warranty technically expired in February 2013. Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. technically does not have any type of obligation to assist beyond the manufacturer’s warranty period. However, as an exception to the manufacturer’s warranty, we would like to offer you some compensation for your inconvenience of the product. We are offering you $170.00 to keep the two 9810025 recliners with a signed Release & Agreement. We have taken into consideration the length of time the product has been within the home as well as the factory base price. It states in the Claim Procedure section of the warranty booklet Ms. [redacted] should have received with her furniture, “If a problem should arise which you feel is covered by our Limited Warranties, contact the Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. authorized retailer from whom you purchased your furniture.”   On behalf of Ms. [redacted] we will reach out to the Customer Care Management Team that works directly with Cymax area with the information provided by the Revdex.com. Someone from Ashley Furniture contacted me on the morning of January 2, 2015 and sent a worker to my home to complete the assembly of the bed I purchased.  I appreciate the Revdex.com's facility of making this happen.

We ask that Ms. [redacted] understand that she has filed
her claim against Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., the manufacturer rather
than against the independently owned and operated HomeStore in [redacted].
Since there is no ownership between the two, Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.
does not have access to her individual sales record, therefore we are unable to
see what has been reported by the service technician.
Ms. [redacted]’s claim has been sent to the Baltimore
HomeStore Customer Care department to further review. We highly recommend that
Ms. [redacted] contact them at ###-###-#### for further updates regarding her
concerns.
