At the time that the patient received the filling the DrS [redacted] was in substituting for DrP***We were unaware that DrS [redacted] was out of network for the patient as our substitute Dr's are supposed to be in network for all of the insurances that Aspen Dental works withWe have not received the letter from insurance declining the claim, however, when we do, they account will be adjusted so the patient will not owe anything extra

Because I haven’t been to a dentist in a few years, I was referred to DrP [redacted] at Aspen Dental by my friend because she had dental work done for several hundred dollars by DrP [redacted] and she was satisfied with the work he performed on her teeth I called their office at Northcliff and made my appointment to see DrP [redacted] on January 15, at 2:p.mfor a free evaluation DrP [redacted] explained what had to be done to my teeth and I was introduced to the office manager Marcus R [redacted] to talk about payment of the work to be done During my conversation with him he was called to the telephone and I was then introduced to some gal to complete this conversation about payment I was given documents that showed the work to be done on my teeth by DrP [redacted] and the entire cost(copies are attached herewith) The work to be done on my teeth was fillings -- (one tooth had a silver filling and this silver filling had to be drilled out of the tooth before they could fill this tooth) and there

I have been working diligently on this caseOriginally [redacted] had gotten an estimate from us from the insurance company and the estimate he was given was $At the end of his first visit, he paid $On the second visit we had never collectedHe works with a [redacted] insurance company and basically there was an issue with [redacted] and recently they have been denying all claimsWhen [redacted] reached out to them, [redacted] took the claim and paid the in network portionHe just never paid his full portion to usThis was no issue on our end, solely with the insuranceHe owes a lot less than his estimate, the outstanding balance is $I spoke to [redacted] about this and he asked I reach out to [redacted] I did and I sent all the information to them and explained everything fully and they understood what the bill was and what it was forHe still thinks he should have not to pay because of all the issues on the insurance side, but again that has nothing to do with us

January 17, I had the first of two appointments with Aspen Dental to have a routine cheand cleaning and a couple of teeth filled At that time the office at Aspen Dental checked with my insurance, [redacted] to verify coverage and to let me know what I would owe as my part I began my treatment which was a deep cleaning that dayBefore I left the office I told them I wanted to pay the entire amount that I owed before I left They tried to talk me into setting up a payment plan but I insisted on just paying the amount I owed in full which was I returned on January 24, and they completed my cleaning and filled two teeth Before leaving that day I paid which I was told was the total amount I owed I never returned for any more appointments but was surprised to be sent a bill for over $from Aspen Dental, supposedly because they had decided that they were not a provider for [redacted] ***?
