When I look at the A- rating on Revdex.com I am shocked that they have received a high rating I would grade Aspen dental a D Each Department had their share of problems that I had experienced I started going at this Aspen Dental back in 2013, and stopped going there in around I will break it down by department, The Billing department / front office I will have a cavity on a tooth that will hurtI go in for a filling So I would schedule a appointment for the dentist to look at it Then make a second appointment to have the filling put in When I tell them why can't they put the filling on the 1st appointment They told me that they were not ready to do the work at the 1st meeting So I had to wait another ( about ) days with tooth hurting to have the cavity problem on tooth fixed The dentist I go to now If the tooth hurt, and it needed to be done They would fix your tooth on the 1st, and only appointmentThen they sometimes have errors in the plan that they print out, and give to you The plan that tells you what work needs to be done, and how much it would cost some that is printed is accurate, and some you can clearly see they forgot to print on the plan I would like to mention a crown that was in the plan The plan stated that for the crown to be done It would be around $ dollars But they forgot to print on the plan that their was a $ prep fee When I look for the $ prep fee on the Dental plan It was not on the plan So basically what I am trying to say is that sometimes they're are errors in the Dental plan that they print on paper, and give you Sometimes I would pay for service in full, and a month later I would get a bill in the mail for $ or so I owe them because they made a mistakeNext I want to mention about the Hygienist The 1st time I went to her She cleaned my teeth, and had no problem The 2nd time I went to her I scheduled an appointment with her for a day, and time When I arrived to finish up on my cleaning from the 1st meeting I had to wait an hour And when someone did look at my teeth It was by another person who was a dental assistant because the Hygienist at the time was busy with another person And when the Dental assistant was trying to clean my teeth She did a minimum job So we rescheduled for me with a 3rd appointment with the Hygienist Then on the day of my 3rd appointment with her She started working on that day Then about hours before my appointment with her, she called in sick So Aspen called home to have me reschedule But I was not home at that time But when I got off from work early, and arrived home to get ready to go to the dentist I got the news, and was not happy about it To me it felt like the Hygienist was trying to avoid me because my teeth was not healthy enough for her to work on I did not want to go to her anymore after that The Hygienist I am going to now She cleans my teeth every time I go to her With no problems, and she is not trying to avoid meNow I will get into the Dental work that they do Dr P is the main dentist there But he has co workers that are dentist as well when he is not around When He started working on my teeth Right away I noticed problems On the 1st meeting I had with Dr P He did a filling on the top of one tooth And every time I put pressure on that filling it would hurt Then He did a 2nd filling which was on the side of the tooth And Dr P put a little to much filling to where the filling was poking on my gums And I would tell Dr P that I am having problems but it looks as if he was trying to convince me that there was nothing wrong During this time I had Dr P put in a crown on front tooth which I regret to this day When Dr P put in the crown To me the crown was too big I was not able to close my mouth, and clearly I can see he made a mistake on it When I told Dr P that I was not able to close my mouth He did a little grinding, and I was then able to close my mouth I told Dr P that I will give it a try As I was trying out the Crown Dr P put on my front tooth I started to notice that it was too big, and the crown was rubbing against my other teeth Because the crown was too big It started shifting my other teeth I went back to Dr P., and addressed all the problems I had Dr P was basically telling me to make an appointment at this day, and he'll fix everything Even though he could have fixed it on that day when I addressed the problems to him So I made another appointment with Dr P to fix all the problems that I had, and have a 3rd filling done When I came in to have everything done A lady dentist did my teeth, and she only did the filling Not fixing the crown, and the two fillings that I had problems with It felt as if Dr P was trying to avoid me by not showing up on the day of appointment, and have one of his co workers fill in for him And the female dentist only did the filling As if to say their was nothing wrong with the work Dr P did So I Left there, and went to another dentist in The dentist that I am going to now fixed the filling on the top of one tooth with a metal pick, and smoothed out the filling on the side of the tooth that was poking my gums with a thick floss I had to replace the crown that Dr P put in When the dentist pulled out the crown Dr P put in It was bleeding so bad that the dentist had to put pressure on it with a thick pad to make it stop bleeding That's how bad Dr P crown was Now as I was about to go to this dentist for the 1st time I had a tooth chip And then a 2nd tooth chip months later And sometimes it feels as if they chipped because the crown Dr P put in was so big that it messed up my teeth alignment Even now after everything is taken care of I can feel my teeth rub from time to time, and know that I have to get braces to align my teeth back to where they used to be before Dr P put a crown in that was too big on front tooth When the other dentist was fixing Dr P mistakes The dentist was trying to stay positive for Dr P., and saying that the front crown was o.k But when the front tooth started gushing out blood after Dr P's crown was removed To where he had to put pressure on it to stop the bleeding It was hard for him to back up Dr PThe only department I had no problems on was the x-ray departmentBut on my overall view of Aspen Dental I had problems with the Hygienists, and had problems with the dentist, and I had problems with the billing department / front office

I have very bad teeth and went to Aspen Dental as they had a free xrays and assessment After looking at my teeth they printed out a sheet with all the dental codes etc and it totaled over $22, I basically laughed and said I would do a little at a time I came in a while later to start the procedure and have my teeth cleaned and I now had a discount card and had them rerun the price it was now $17, They did the cleaning and my mom talked to the lady about some questions we had regarding the bill She questioned a code that they had way higher and the discount card had quite a bit lower Was told it was higher as it was a more complex surgeryQuestioned if I could get cheeper crowns and was told no for front teeth you had to get these crowns and had to get them all at one timeI finished my cleaning and asked the girl like six times if I had a infection and needed to be put on antibiotics her answer was no...........I was also told for my oral surgery there was only one appointment left and unless I booked it right away I would have to wait till January of We booked it and I was told it has to be paid in full at my next cleaning appointment in weeksWell a short time later I ended up in urgent care as I had a very bad infection in my mouth and almost had a staff infection I was put on a antibiotic 3x"s per day I paid for urgent care plus a scriptThe doctor said I should have been put on a antibiotic right away by the dentist and anyone could have seen I had a infection, We called Aspen and basically they could have cared less and they told me the cleaning opened up a pocket and caused the infection I paid in advance almost $3,in advance for my oral surgeryWell days before my oral surgery they called to say it was cancelled I had planned a week off of work and my mom also took time off of work The oral sugeron went into labor early...They had no backup for the entire Aspen group in Wisconsin and would not recommend anyone they told us to wait till she came back which they had no idea when Now were trying to get records forward and our money refunded and its a nighmare NEVER GO TO ASPen I have had to pay for urgent care, Drugs, lost a weeks vacationmy Mom took off of work also We asked for a discount or something off when they screwed up and I was in urgent care sicker then a dog and they did and said nothing we never even got a call back or appology for the girl cleaning my teeth and she never even had the dentist check for infection

Here is my response to this complaint. ___________________________________________ December 8, 2016 22.5pt;"> [redacted] RE: Aspen Dental Account Number [redacted] RevDex.com Complaint ID # [redacted] Dear Ms. ***: Thank you for sharing your concerns about the treatment you received. I am writing to you on behalf of the Columbus, IN Aspen Dental branded practice, owned and operated by CS Dental LLC. I certainly do apologize for your experience at the Columbus, IN Aspen Dental office. I am in receipt of your complaint filed with the RevDex.com. I have reviewed it with the Columbus, IN Aspen Dental Office Manager, Deborah. The reason a balance remained due after all insurance payments were made is because a portion of your initial estimate was based on anticipated participating provider discounts from your dental insurance provider. When payment was received from your dental insurance these discounts were not indicated. The insurance company dictates the amounts of discounts taken (if any). After review, I note that Aspen Dental did actually receive the estimated payment amount from your dental insurance and you did remit the patient portion quoted to you. As a courtesy to you, I have been authorized to remove the entire remaining amount due. The balance due on your Aspen Dental account is now zero. The collection agency is being notified to close their file (takes about 7-10 days). Also please note that no information concerning your Aspen Dental account has been reported to any credit bureau or credit reporting agency. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your inquiry. A copy of this letter has been forwarded to the RevDex.com in response to your complaint.
