As a repository for data, information is reported on a continual basis as it becomes availableThis data may be more current or historically dated, but is listed to the report as it is receivedExperian compiles reports from extensive, multiple sources in an effort to report on the history of the life of a vehicle relative to its vehicle identification number (VIN)The AutoCheck vehicle history report will call out certain historical pieces which may be of importance to a customerThe odometer readings reported which are flagging odometer inconsistencies were reported by various State DMVs in regards to different titles which this vehicle has heldAs a repository for data, Experian Automotive will publish data received by originating data sourcesAt this time the events will remain reports as part of the vehicle's history based on the data reported and on file with the New York Department of Motor VehiclesThe odometer reading in question is listed on the vehicle’s title record on file with the New York DMVAs long as the odometer reading is on file with the NY DMV, it will remain as part of the vehicle’s historyIf the odometer reading is on file with the state in error, Mr [redacted] should contact the NY DMV directly for correctionMr [redacted] may provide supporting documentation of correction by the New York DMV to Experian Automotive via email to [email protected] with reference to case # [redacted] upon which we will review further for possible amendment to the AutoCheck vehicle history reportFor more information, please go to AutoCheck.com for a complete list of frequently asked questionsYou can also view our terms and conditions by clicking the following link: http://www.autocheck.com/vehiclehistory/autocheck/en/termsOfUse

My vehicle was in an accident on 10/12/12, but the airbags did not deploy and they were not replaced, AutoCheck has incorrect information stating the airbags did deploy After many phone calls and hours I determined the information came from a full police report from years agoBefore contacting AutoCheck via e-mail I made more phone calls including one to the SCDMV and [redacted] Police Department to obtain a copy of the report only to be told the report is no longer in retention and even if it was it can only be amended by the original officer who wrote it and he is no longer with the department I've been in contact with AutoCheck via their website and provided AutoCheck with a copy of the original, dated and time stamped repair document that I was given once all the repairs were made to my car and it shows no mention of any airbagsI also provided them with the direct phone number to the [redacted] agent who handled my case years ago and who has 50+ photos of the

Wanted to see a full report before spending or wasting money on the unlimited for days You have to pay $for a single report and then if you decide you want to get the subscription for the unlimited days, you do not get any credit for the single report you paid $for This is a typical Experian plot to extract the most money it can for a somewhat limited report of which most information can be had online for around $ It only had items on the report that were not on the report I paid $for The product or report is good, the price is just a big ripoff Experian does not pay anything for the information they have in these reports It all comes from dealers and public information sources such as DMV And to add to insult, the dealers that subscribe and report information must pay a subscription fee to Experian Experian ends up with 100% profit for each report It cost them absolutely nothing to get the information and they sell it for $ Ten years ago the single reports were around $ I paid $for unlimited reports years ago and now that is the cost for a single report

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Response: The company response is not only not helping, but indicates further problems with their methods of advertising I had thought that the company I was trying to do business with was called AutoCheck, and now I see that it is Experian!! This makes it deceptiveThis is further ethical problem None the less, the company describes itself, in regards to the advertisement, and states that it does not advertiseNext it disagrees with its own statement, and says that it "advertises a free ..." Experian / AutoCheck should decide if it does or does not advertise It is being dishonest It says that it does advertise a "free VIN Check which will provide information decoded from the VIN, as well as a record count.,,, " I agree that, yes, Experian / AutoCheck do advertise for this "free VIN Check..." and that it promises to provide informationAnd it indicates that it is a service But it fails to provide any information, and certainly not what it promised to attract a consumer to go to its site and plug in personal informationOnly then does one see that there will be a charge Today it has posted: [redacted] Know the History.Get a Free VIN CheckWas the car reported in an accident or damaged in a flood? Search Autocheck's extensive vehicle database to find out now----- This notice did not self-identify as an adIt seemed like one more [redacted] service It asks for the VIN of your carBut then it does not give the information it promisesIt does not let you "know the history", it does not tell you if the car was "reported in an accident or damaged in a flood." On this first page of the ***, it does not say you have to pay for the information Therefore, this was and deceptive advertising This company should stop using false, misleading and deceptive advertising to draw people to pay for services which are presented as "Free"

Our car was in an accident It was not a total loss We have provided all documents stating it was not a total loss We have also corresponded with Experian and they written that they have verified the car is not a total loss However they are still reporting the car on their Autocheck website stating it does have title issues This has prevented us from being able to sell our car or even get an offer from dealerships to buy our car This matter has been going on for weeks now All we want is for them to clear how they are lusting the title on the report

This is a major complaint about Auto Check, a part of Experian. I purchased an Auto Check for my car. They sent me the report but they didn't send the report so I can download it so I can share it with potiental buyers. I have sent them 4 email on their website under the "Contact Us Now" tab requesting and answer and I have heard nothing from them. I have no idea how they can be BBB rated. Horrible service.

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved Regards, [redacted] ***

We will issue a full refund for the services paid by the consumer This credit should post within the next 7-business days For further questions, the consumer can call ###-###-#### and ref case#'s [redacted] & [redacted]

I contacted the AutoCheck team because I would like to correct (two) major errors on my vehicle’s AutoCheck report
This email contains important attachments which support making immediate corrections
Please note that the dates of both erroneous reportings are just days apart
VIN:
***
VEHICLE DATA:
*** *** *** ***
ERROR # 1:
On 9/09/2014, an accident was reported in *** *** Since the date I purchased this car in 2008, I never drove the car into the state of *** Not only have I never driven this vehicle in ***, I have never loaned my vehicle to anyone going to *** or passing through the state My *** report, which has been sent to AutoCheck, also does not show this major errorI have also had a car appraiser evaluate my vehicle, whose report yielded no accident traces This has also been sent to AutoCheck I believe this is a misreporting because it is likely related to Error # I will explain how

Auto Check advertises a FREE vehicle report When I attempt to retrieve the so-called FREE report, the site asked me for credit card information I never received the FREE report advertised ADVERTISING!!!

Subscribed on-line to their AutoCheck service for reports for days, for the amount of $49.99($after tax)
When I checked my a=checking account that day I found that the account was charged twiceI have bee trying to contact the company(AutoCheck) via e-mail through customer service and with the telephone number supplied on Revdex.com websiteThere is no response either way, now I must try to get the duplicate charge canceled at my Bank
I also tried to use their on-line live chat but that was also inactive? This is not the way customer service should be conducted for a company that received an A+ rating from Revdex.com?
My purchase was made 7/27/with a AutoCheck confirmation number of ***

I paid $to run reports I am unable to log into the site with my user name and password to run reports I have chatted with customer service, sent emails, called times (times a recording came on saying to call back later) and the last call was with a representative named *** who was very rude and did not assist me

While attempting to sell my vehicle a history was requested from AutoCheck An accident was listed on the reportThe accident was to have happened over hours away from my home in a city I had never traveled I attempted to dispute since the vehicle has never been in an accident, AutoCheck did a quick re-check to see if the information they had was correct, they stated the information was correct I made a minute phone call to the servicing police department for the area in which the accident was to have happened Within a minute call speaking with the police officer, I discovered, the vehicle that was in the accident was a different color and had business decals affixed on each sideNow I will have to take my vehicle to the police department, a hour round trip, to prove what Autocheck has listed on the report is NOT true It should be AutoChecks duty to ensure that ALL information listed on the report is in fact true AutoCheck reported it incorrectly, it should be their job to correct not mine I will lose a day of work and may lose out on selling my vehicle because of this inaccuracy

I ordered a vehicle report for a vehicle I was interested in buyingThe report rated the car a '90' out of 100, and at the top of the report indicated it had only one owner in its historyThe report also stated that there was "no negative title or other problems" and that there was "No insurance loss or probable total loss record."
In another part of the report, an accident was reported, with airbag deployment and subsequent transfer of ownership of the vehicle to an insurance company, and issuance of a new titleThat would seem to be a total loss situation and also shows that there would be at least three owners at this point-the original owner, the insurance company and the current owner
It is impossible for all of these things to be true at once, and so, the report is worthless to me because I have no way to tell which parts are accurate and which are not
I sent multiple requests for clarification through the "Contact Us" section of the website, and requested a refu

Autocheck has my car listed as being in an accident VIN: *** where my car was never in an accident The car was in for a Cooling System issue during the date where its listed as "minor accident" and got a new radiator for a "Cooling system concern" from a *** Dealership in *** *** The Radiator got a pebble in it and started leaking The car was never hit (by anything), nor visually damaged, and was not painted It simply needed a new radiator because of a cooling system issue which got done under warrantee *** paid for the repair and the insurance company paid for a part of it as it was suspected the pebble put the ding into the radiator (upon further inspection the pebble was never found) When I called AutoCheck they refused to get rid of the "Minor Accident" wording for a mechanical repair (as documented in dealer paperwork) As a result I am being offered $dollars less at trade in due to the mis-information by the Autocheck "source" They also clai

I have tried reaching Autocheck multiple times to correct an error on my car history report My vehicle is listed incorrectly as a 2nd owner I am the first and only owner of the vehicle Autocheck does not make it easy to contact them in order to request correction of vehicle information And they are not responsive when I use their contact page and leave messages asking for them to contact me and let me know how to correct the error
The error is effecting my re-sale of the vehicle I've tried contacting Autocheck multiple times, over weeks with no response to date I need help escalating the lack of support in trying to resolve this matter I can provide any information needed, to verify I am the first and only owner

I bought one of autocheck.com’s reports because carbuyingtips.com, which seemed like a real enough site to me, highly suggested them due to all the other sources of information they provide in comparison to carfax
Minutes later I received no helpful information in my autocheck reportIn fact, it didn’t even mention a possible water leak that the carfax report showedI can only wonder if there was info included
I think they must make good money from tricking people like me- people who are in a bind because their loved one is running full steam ahead to buy a used fleet car from a dealershipI panickedI made an uninformed decision because I was running out of timeNever doing that again! I simply can’t afford to

Autocheck is reporting my vehicle was in a minor accidentThere is no confirming evidence ie police reports, service records, or dealer informationCarfax does not report any incidents
I am unable to sell my vehicle due to this unsubstantiated claimI contacted Autocheck, and they will not disclose any information corroborating this claim without a subpoena
Experian, the owner of Autocheck, is legally required to substantiate anlowered credit rating with evidenceUnless they tell me exactly the incident they are referring, it is and should be withdrawn
Without evidence, Autocheck is devaluing my car and making my car unsellable
As a physician, if you have a lethal illness, last I checked, a subpoena is not required for me to me to be obligated to tell you what it is

When I signed up with Autocheck I was never informed about the One year contractI was under the idea that it was going to be a month to month serviceI tried to cancel my service with them and they said they will not be able to let me out of the contract that I signedI am a small car dealer and am going through a low-income time right now and am trying to eliminate a little of my overheadIf I was told at the start that it was a One year minimum contract, I would have never signed upThe One year contract was never made apparent in the initial conversation from the salesman

This is a major complaint about Auto Check, a part of Experian I purchased an Auto Check for my car They sent me the report but they didn't send the report so I can download it so I can share it with potiental buyers I have sent them email on their website under the "Contact Us Now" tab requesting and answer and I have heard nothing from them I have no idea how they can be Revdex.com rated Horrible service
