AutoCheck Reviews (367)

We have researched Ms*** concerns regarding the integrity of the data displayed on the Vehicle History Report purchased on September 23, We are committed to making information available to those who access our product as soon as possible (i.eas soon as it is reported to us) and do
believe that vehicle history reports are an integral part of the pre-owned vehicle purchase processHowever, this should only be one step of the processIn addition to purchasing a vehicle history report, we encourage every pre-owned vehicle shopper to physically inspect the vehicle whenever possible and to have a licensed mechanic inspect the vehicle to ensure the best and safest vehicle choice is made. AutoCheck reports on accident damage when and if that information is provided to usTherefore, we may not provide information on every accident in which a vehicle may have been involvedAs a respository for data, information is reported on a continual basis as it becomes availableThis data may be more current or historically dated but is listed to the report as it is received. In this case, we have not received data from any of our sources that indicates this vehicle has been damaged or involved in a collisionSince the Vehicle History Report was purchased more than six months ago, a refund can no longer issued back to the originating payment sourceHowever, I have provided a Coupon Code below, which is good for one free, single AutoCheck Vehicle History Report. Coupon Code: *** This Coupon Code may be redeemed by contacting us at: Experian Automotive Customer Support 1-888-409-2204 Monday through Friday, from a.mto p.mCentral Time

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowWhen discussing the services with the representative that is no longer working there (odd), I clearly stated what I am looking forI also went over the features described on AutoCheck websitePlease see attachment which is the screenshots from AutoCheck websiteIt clearly states that Manufacturer data is available e.g "Open Recalls" and "Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles"AutoCheck clearly misrepresented the services they can providePlease note, they did not reach out to meI reached out to them and specifically asked if they can do what I needThe answer was a clear YESThat is why we signed the contract

I was not allowed to use my Chevy Impala as a trade in because auto check said the odometer was turned back! My title states the mileage is A (actual) and
Car Fax also guarantees the mileage is actualApparently all the negative reviews are correct!

This is a scam website! Don't use them! They are shady! I would never use this company again! Waste of time and money! They don't ever give you your money back when they make a mistake There is no the customer is always right or good customer service what so ever! I wish I would of read the reviews first on this company! I never would of wasted my time and money!

The Autocheck Vehicle History Reports that are offered for free on the Kelly Blue Book Used Vehicle website do not provide a free vehicle report at allBoth Kelly Blue Book and Autocheck can reasonably be assumed to have guilty knowledge of this, but yet this practice continuesThis is in fact appears to be a blatant attempt to mislead consumers into using Autocheck under the guise of being allowed to conduct a free vehicle history inquiry, only to discover that the consumer is then requested to pay for the serviceIf the service is free, it's free - there should not be a fee of any kind for any service so deemed as "free." Autocheck has had a reasonable period of time to address any issues concerning it's website's functionality should it claim that this link to the "free" history report was inadvertently directed to one requiring payment for the same serviceThe decision to maintain this practice appears willful and is an inappropriate form of advertising and promotionIt is not an excuse to claim the mere identification of the vehicle by model and year was the "free" information - however limited the free information may be justified by Autocheck as having met their obligation to the consumerThe representation of the "free" service by Autocheck foreseeably leads consumers to believe they are obtaining the same detailed information as would be available to those who might pay for the same information elsewhere on Autocheck's websiteIf Autocheck wanted to provide limited data on the vehicle history reports to encourage consumers to purchase the higher cost but more detailed information, it need only provided a pertinent disclaimer affirming so

HelloI was offered a free report on one vehicle, and was sent a code to useHowever, the code did not work, and it took me close to hours of attempts and then assistance to get the reportThis was not helpfulAnd then what? The report is worthless. More of the sameIf I had paid, I would be seeking a refundThey did waste my timeIt was supposed to have accident reports. Well, it said there was one accident, but nothing at all about itIt just wrote:Accident record(s) reported through accident data sourcesLater it wrote: 06/21/** State Agency ACCIDENT REPORTED (*** *:*** ***)---It gave no information about the accident, the extent, etcIn fact, I already knew about accidents, but no details. To make matters worse, it offered a way too high rating, despite that the vehicle is damaged, one bumper sticks out, and the interior worn, etcThey are not offering a service for which they should be charging They give virtually no information, and not what they are advertising, not what a consumer expects to get on purchasing the report. In short, it is all a scam.I request that Experian completely drop this non-service, or get completely out of the "credit reporting" business due to bad ethics.Thank you

I contacted the Auto Check in SEVERAL occasions to fix a discrepancy from their companyI have done so on multiple days and over the course of several weeks with no reply backThey said there was frame damage on a vehicle that was purchased at an auto auction and after an inspection from a mechanic there was ZERO frame damage on said vehicleWe had the parts that they had labeled "Frame Damage" repaired regardless in order to be able to sell the vehicle and they will not contact us back to get this matter taken care of!

Autocheck reported that my *** *** was reported a total loss in an auto accident that took place 8/16/I contacted Autocheck via email and by phone on 2/25/and requested that the information be updated urgently since I was in the process of trading in my vehicle and was getting a low trade in offer due to the total loss reportI even offered to fax over a statement from my insurance company to confirm the vehicle was not a total lossIt took Autocheck until 3/4/to update the information despite them knowing that I needed to trade in my vehicle immediatelyI was only offered $on a vehicle that would have been valued at $This was a huge injustice considering that I still owed $on the vehicleThe incorrect information should have never been reported and in lui of the incorrect information the correction should have been expedited

This is in response to the complaint filed against *** Automotive by *** *** regarding VIN Number ***As outlined in the AutoCheck Terms & Conditions, *** compiles reports using records from numerous third party sources in an effort to report a comprehensive
history with respect to each vehicle relative to its vehicle identification number (VIN)*** does not have all information from all data sources and may not have information available to other parties, including other vehicle history providers. We are committed to making information available to those who access our product as soon as possible (i.eas soon as it is reported to us) and do believe that vehicle history reports are an important part of the pre-owned vehicle purchase processHowever, this should only be one stepIn addition to purchasing a vehicle history report, we encourage every pre-owned shopper to physically inspect the vehicle whenever possible and have a licensed mechanic inspect the vehicle to ensure the best and safest vehicle decision is madeFor additional information regarding AutoCheck's Terms and Conditions, please visit www.autocheck.com/vehiclehistory/autocheck/en/termsOfUse. We acknowledge *** *** dissatisfactionExperian Automotive can only work with the information available to us from our data providersWe continually try to update and add quality sources so we may provide the most current and accurate data available, however when such data appears on the report depends on when received by the source We encourage *** *** to review our terms and conditions at: http://www.autocheck.com/vehiclehistory/autocheck/en/termsOfUseAs previously stated, Buy Back Protection only applies to certain title brands not disclosed by a stateAccidents or other types of repair work are not covered by Buyback As the vehicle is not eligible for a Buyback Protection claim, we must respectfully decline *** *** request for vehicle buyback and/or diminished value compensation

We have reviewed the consumer’s support case and apologize for any
inconveniences caused. We will continue
to work internally with the agent to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
from all our customers. We will also be
issuing a refund for services paid
back to the consumer out of customer good
will that should post within the next 7-business days
In regards to the AutoCheck score concerns, the consumer should be
informed that there are many different factors that affect the score. Year, make, model, mileage, owners, etc., can
all play a part in the overall score of the vehicle. It is also important that the consumer know,
the score is not based on a scale of 0-but is based on how the vehicle
rates when compared to vehicles of the similar make and class.
After working with the consumer to correct update an odometer reading
from a service record, the vehicle in question currently scores a which is above
the range of similar scored vehicles of 79-
More information on the factors influencing the score are provided on
the AutoCheck report for the vehicle.
The consumer can view the report online and click on “About the Score”
link
The consumer can visit also www.autocheck.com
for more information on our product and the AutoCheck Score

Auto Check which is owned by Experian fails to disclose to the consumer that unless a dealer or merchant is paying them to be part of their program they are unable to report any maintenance or work done on a car I called Auto Check today and asked why this is and they told me I was correct that they can not update a Auto Check report despite me having all of the dealer's receipts UNLESS they are a paying customer/dealer/merchant to Auto Check Thus, consumers are relying on Auto Check report to be accurate before they purchase a car If Auto Check refuses to accurately report all the maintence/repairs records of a car then they are FAILING TO DISCLOSE TO THE CONSUMER and are fraudulent in their actionsThis needs to be made PUBLIC to the consumer that Auto Check is not accurate and that the consumer should not rely on their reportI tried leaving NO RATING For Auto Check but unfortunately Revdex.com requires you to put a star so I will put star as there is no other option

We apologize for any misunderstanding surrounding AutoCheck's free vehicle search AutoCheck offers a free vehicle search by VIN or US License plate which will provide a summary of vehicle information which is decoded from the VIN as well as available record count, which tells consumers how
many records we have available for that particular vehicleThis is meant to be a quick check for someone to determine whether they would like to purchase a full report to learn more about those records listedValuable records provided on a full AutoCheck report may include, but are not limited to state title & registration data, accident data, auction data, theft data, service records, etcwhich are specific to the VIN requestedThis free vehicle search is not an advertisement for a free vehicle history report

Complaint
Auto-check is displaying a typographical error in the report and claiming it to be some form of criminal activity, however it is simply a typo
There have been numerous services done on the car, and the mileage on one was entered wrong
the mileage on the reports goes from 40k, 51,**42,319,
55,56,and so onThe 42,was supposed to be entered as 52,This is a digital odometer, no one is "rolling it" back this isn't
This was wrongly entered by the lien companyThe number was entered wrong, please look at the months and mileage and see for yourselfPlease correct the report, and contact the company that reported the incorrect information and have them correct it too if need be
In the future if you believe something may be wrong, first try to get to the bottom of it, before immediately criminalizing innocent people, please don't underestimate the effect falsely criminalizing people has on their lives
Desired Resolution
Please correct the typo and please stop wrongly reporting my car
VIN ***
My car is in perfect shape, no accidents, and no fraudulent anythingPlease correct this

We purchased an autocheck report on a car that we were interested in buying in July The report stated that everything looked good, no accidents, no title issues, etc We bought the car based on this information After two years of constant problems with the car, we traded it in on a new one The dealership pulled up the auto check and car fax on it to give us a trade in value and much to our surprise, the car had been totaled and a complete loss in Of course, they offered us very little for the trade in because of this I have tried to email auto check twice and they have not responded Buyer beware: you can not trust anything that the report says Take it to a trusted mechanic to have them look at the car instead of wasting your money on autocheck or carfax
