My vehicle was in an accident on 10/12/12, but the airbags did not deploy and they were not replaced, AutoCheck has incorrect information stating the airbags did deploy
After many phone calls and hours I determined the information came from a full police report from years agoBefore contacting AutoCheck via e-mail I made more phone calls including one to the SCDMV and *** *** Police Department to obtain a copy of the report only to be told the report is no longer in retention and even if it was it can only be amended by the original officer who wrote it and he is no longer with the department
I've been in contact with AutoCheck via their website and provided AutoCheck with a copy of the original, dated and time stamped repair document that I was given once all the repairs were made to my car and it shows no mention of any airbagsI also provided them with the direct phone number to the *** *** agent who handled my case years ago and who has 50+ photos of the

Auto check never update when a car has being stolen and recovered from an insurance company
Auto check needs to removed the salvage history due to a claim After the car has being recovered and sold with clean title Theft history
Car fax always removes and update the car history with no problem
Auto check keep saying I must contact the insurance company
It seems like auto check does not understand that the car has being recovered and now was sold at the auction with clean title ( theft recovered )
Auto check needs to do the same as Car fax

Autocheck reports my car has been in an accidentThey will not remove the accident because they claim their reports show it was in an accidentWhen asked for further information regarding the claimed accident, I am only able to find out it was in *** *** on or about March 9th, Since none of the local jurisdictions can search for accident records by license plate or VIN number (I contacted them to find out), I requested from Autocheck further information regarding the accident - specific city, street, case number, etc They claim they have no further informationSo they have enough info to assure themselves my car was in an accident, but can't give me any pertinent information the local jurisdictions would require to show my car wasn't involved in an accident

On October 12, I was negotiating the purchase of of a new *** at *** *** ***I was trading in my *** *** ***The dealer ordered a vehicle history for my car from Autocheck Although on page of the report it shows "no accidents reported" page of the report describes "vehicle reported as a total loss"and "vehicle loss caused by collision." I believe the report is due to a mistake made when entering the ID number of some other car that was involved in an accident on 1/31/2015.My car was never involved in an accident The result of this mistaken information has minimized the value of my trade in value I have attempted to resolve this with Autocheck, the dealer and ***I provided all of them with a letter from my insurance company with a history of claims which disclosed no claim was ever madeAll of my attempts to resolve this have been totally ignored by Autovheck, as well as by the dealer and ***

The consumer is referring to the Accident Check count which shows a count of accidents, then a more detailed Accident Check section shows the event date and indicates the following information "Reported accidents or damage events are a result of vehicle collisions or other non-collision incidents"
Within the Detailed Vehicle History section of the AutoCheck report, the event in question is listed as "Accident or Vehicle Damage Reported: Non-Collision", which aligns with the customer's explanation that the vehicle was damaged, but not in a collisionThe event is being displayed as reported by the source, and as it aligns with the customer's explanation of the incident, the event will remain as listed

This company is very poorI own a small dealership and heard great things about themI was on the fence between Carfax and Auto check I spoke to a sales representative and we negotiated the pricing and termsI have an email stating that the terms and pricing were exceptedSigned the e contractThen never received my login infoCalled them back a few weeks later and they said that the terms and pricing were not approvedDon't waste your time call somewhere else

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

This is regarding case # *** VIN # ***Autocheck is falsely advertising this car has been in an accident on their report when it has notThey claim " Please note, the data source which reported the data in question, reports their data as accident OR vehicle damage reportedThe data reported can relate to damage accidentally sustained to vehicles by any means, not necessarily a collision with another vehicle and does not necessarily mean there was an accident report or police agency involved." The report attached shows that it this car has been in an "accident", even though the car was not in an accidentThere was damage done to the car by dirt and debris on my driveway and my insurance company *** fixed itAutocheck is not making it clear on the report that this was not an accident and that it was a small damage to the car- non collision
This report is making it impossible for selling my carThe car dealer will not accept my car unless the report is

Thank you for your patience while we further researched the accident records in questionWe have updated the AutoCheck report to reflect the information we obtained during our research and confirmed through our data sourcesI have attached an updated Vehicle History Report for MsWitherell's
records

Impossible to obtain a free vehicle report

I own a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and have been in business >years No debt, excellent credit, continuous government contracts but smartbusinessreports.com rates my company as being Moderate to High Risk for no reason other than for me to pay them a service fee to update I have sent them everything they have requested and suggested and have logged multiple emails and callsno changes They have ~2,complaintsno figure

We would like to thank *** *** for providing the repair invoice for his vehicleHowever, this documentation is not sufficient for a correction on the Vehicle History ReportThe police agency who responded to the accident will need to update the police report to reflect no airbag deploymentIf he can obtain a corrected police report, we would be happy to review this matter further

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Auto check refused to at least refund the $fee we paid for a report on our vehicle auto checkThey provided instead a "coupon" for another free auto check as if we find VALUE in their insufficient reports. What their company offers is NOT acceptable to me. Their coupon is a good as their backing and legitimacy of the information they provide their customers - Lacking integrity, value, accuracy and helpfulness . This offer is like offering a free coupon for a sandwich they once received food poisoning from. Furthermore, I take insult to the fact Auto Check believes we failed to do our part in thoroughly checking out the vehicle we purchased. We drove it and inspected the mechanics of the vehicle. WE depended on Auto Check and their reporting for "no accidents" to eliminate our need to check the "body work". They let us down and we were misled

They do not answer customer support issues concerning orders placedThey have no telephone contact

Paid for an AutoCheck report for my vehicle I was selling because I was told an accident had been reported while I was the ownerHad Auto Check perform an investigation to have the accident removedAfter business days, they told me that the accident had occurredCalled the police agency in question and verified that there was no record of an accident with my vehicleThe record on Auto Check still says there was an accident, even after the police said there was notAuto Check does not use reliable sources for their informationUnfortunately their terms and conditions state they are not liable for the information providedI will be reporting this incident to the Attorney General's Office to see what legal action can be taken against this company

We’ve
carefully reviewed the consumer’s case details internally and also with our liaison
to the auctions. The auctions have a set
of guidelines they follow in order to determine what
constitutes as frame or
uni-body damage.
We have
been informed that the auction house that sold the vehicle announced the car with
uni-body damage because there was “damage to the left apron of the vehicle and
an aftermarket muffler was welded in place.” AutoCheck cannot determine whether or not this
announcement was due to the accidents listed on the vehicle history report
Unfortunately,
due to contractual obligations, AutoCheck cannot remove the announcement
without the auction’s consent
Both
the buying and selling parties are informed whenever a vehicle sells with some
sort of announcement. Depending when the
consumer purchased the vehicle and from whom, a sales slip when the car was at
the auction that shows NO frame or unibody damage announcement from the auction
in would assist us in helping the customer get the announcement removed by
the reporting auction

We acknowledge the consumers dissatisfaction with the report, but as services were rendered and multiple reports were accessed which provided valuable data, we are unable to issue a refund at this time.As a repository for data, the information found on the AutoCheck report is what is available from
our sources at that timeWe contract with various data sources in order to obtain as much information as possible on used vehiclesIt is the contracted data source that provides us with this information which can be current or historicalAt this time, the information published to the report you are viewing is all that is available in real time.We have submitted for further verification regarding the number of owners for VIN *** and will let the consumer know once we have further information. We encourage the consumer to take the time to review our terms and conditions for further information: http://www.autocheck.com/vehiclehistory/autocheck/en/termsOfUse

Upon further review, our records indicate that the total loss remarks were removed from our system on 4/28/when the reporting data source contacted us confirming the error We apologize for any inconvenience caused to the customer and as a courtesy, have attached a copy for their records
Should the customer have additional questions, they can contact customer support toll free at 888-409-2204, M-F 8-5pm CST

This is an outright lie! And I have proof; I've purchased personal use vehicles that I looked up before purchasing that I pay insurance & titled under my nameThey are not only discriminating against me, but also defaming my name and character.
